They are always very pleasant when I call and they deliver when they say they're going to.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to formally dispute the $299 tank removal fee and the $119 service dispatch fee that were charged after I canceled my AmeriGas service. I initially contacted AmeriGas to establish service and schedule a propane delivery because my tank was completely empty. I spent approximately 3 1/2 hours on the phone simply trying to reach someone who could assist me. After finally speaking with a representative, I was informed that it would take 2 to 3 weeks before my tank could be filled. I explained that we were completely out of propane, which meant we had no hot water and no practical way to use our gas appliances. Despite the urgency of the situation, no reasonable solution was offered. Because AmeriGas was unable to provide timely service for an essential utility, I had no choice but to obtain service elsewhere and request removal of the AmeriGas tank. I was shocked to later learn that I had been charged a $299 tank removal fee and a $119 service dispatch fee. It is unreasonable to expect a customer to pay hundreds of dollars in additional charges after the company was unable to provide propane within a reasonable timeframe. Those charges are outrageous. Was on hold for over an house to dispute charges! Stay away from this company!!!!!!! Run!!!!

We I called and spoke with a customer rep she indicated that the service fee was for removal of the tank. I advised her that this is a condominium with a building tank and the tank removal fee could not be correct. She agreed, sent me off to another person who advised me that the fee was for the tech to shut off the gas line ("so that no one else could use it"). So, the customer is charged so that Amerigas does not incur any expense. Great customer service. So, if you an alternative for propane in the North Conway area, my advice is to stay as far away from Amerigas as possible.

We just installed a generator, and the company we had contacted for propane on the day of the…read moreinstallation simply didn't show up - despite our being told that the propane would be delivered "first thing in the morning." They supposedly had an emergency. (See below about how fast they returned my call when I cancelled their service.) I contacted Waltz in a panic and, once they ascertained that we owned our tanks, they were able to get to us the same day and within a few hours and, after ensuring that everything was as it should be with our tanks, filled the tanks. I want to add that - as opposed to the former company, who did not respond to my emergency call inquiring as to where they were and ONLY called me back when I left a message saying they were no longer needed (and they called back seven minutes after *that* message) - each and every time I called Waltz & Sons the calls were answered promptly and courteously and my questions answered. Although I didn't appreciate the former company's "let them eat cake" and "we'll get back to you when it suits us" attitude, I consider that now that we are customers of Waltz & Sons, everything DEFINITELY ended up all for the best! I should add that the people who provided and installed our generator said that they have had a number of dealings with Waltz & Sons and recommended them highly. In addition, months before, I had compared prices for about six propane companies with Waltz coming in as the second least expensive and the company that never showed being least expensive, so paying a TINY BIT more to actually deal with a competent and efficient company that shows up has turned out to be well worth it.

Libby, W I have been with CN Brown for Almost 25 years…read more Have had decent service up till about 2 years ago. Not any more. Supposed to have automatic delivery. About 1 or 2 months ago, I had to call for a delivery because I was under 1/4 full and wasn't due for delivery. Asked them to shorten times between deliveries because I, more than once, had to call because I was way too low. Was told they would change schedule. That happened on next delivery and hasn't continued. Called before 9:00am Monday (1st) to tell them the tank was on EMPTY. Expected them to do something about it. Was I ever wrong. Called again about 7:00pm and told them I had no heat and was told that I would get a call back. Another lie. I have a credit balance of about $500 or more because I pay ahead when I have the $. Do this year round so I don't get hit all winter but have it prepaid. It's 7:00am Tuesday and still no oil, no phone call, and cannot, after all these years, trust this company. I am changing to someone who appreciates a customer who never owes them any $ because it's been paid for already. Any suggestions who I should try. I want someone who is as loyal to me as I am to them. I will request whoever I buy from to use me as an example (even if it is in the Conway Sun, to warn others. Someone got to big to care.

This was understandable and what I expected. I made sure that I would have enough oil to last me up until the day that they said they would deliver and I scheduled the delivery. The day that they told me that they would deliver comes, no one shows up, and no one calls to let me know what is going on. So I called the office. I didn't get home until after their office was closed and I got the answering service. I left a message, requesting that someone would call me back. I received no call. I called six more times, each time leaving a message to have someone call me back, each time my request went unacknowledged. The next morning I still did not receive a call back! At this point I was livid! I called and requested to speak to the manager. As luck would have it, the manager, Gina, was the one that answered the phone. I explained my situation, told her that I was now out of oil, and requested that I get the delivery first thing in the morning. She informed me that she could not guarantee that I was going to get a delivery in the morning. She said this with a great deal of attitude. I asked her to refrain from giving me attitude and I told her that this answer was unacceptable. I was out of oil, it was -19C, and my two dogs, my children, and I were now freezing in our home. She said: "If you need oil so bad, maybe you should cancel the delivery and call a different company for oil." WHAT?!? What manager, in her right mind, would say this to a customer?!? Gina, in my opinion, should be fired but until then I will not be going back to C N Brown for oil. I suggest that you do the same. This company is a joke. They do not know how to gracefully handle their customer's complaints and they are not organized enough to scheduling deliveries. If you choose to go with them anyway... Don't say I didn't warn you.
