I had some service problems with my furnace; however, I found the service manager very accommodating in solving the issues. They stand behind their reputation and corrected the issues. With the purchase of a new oil fired hot water heater, the office staff worked with me to set up payments. I wasn't billed for the installation until everything was fine tuned. read more

I had a 120 gallon propane tank for a garage heater. Been paying rent on that tank to Eastern via high propane price for 5 years. Now I no longer need the tank and they are charging me $100 to pick it up! I'm currently shopping for a long-term supplier for my new larger (owned) tank. It will NOT be Eastern! read more

We have been with Eastern probably 20 yrs or more. People around us are switching to Palmer (they offered a deal To our neighbors lol) but we said NO we like Eastern even if we are paying Alittle more. We like our service and the guys who deliver the propane. read more

Horrible company. Horrible service. Bought house across street from mine as investment. Started to move it from current company to Eastern only to find eastern was charging me 2.5 times the rate for same gas. Eastern also charged me fees no other company charges after I did my due diligence I could not find any other company charging anywhere near as much as eastern. Ended up switching to other company at my home. Then, as a parting gesture they made up more fees last minute. Just a greedy company. You have options. Don't listen to their pitch. Shop around. You will be shocked by how high Eastern propane jacks up their prices and made up fees. read more

Oh boy, where do I begin. Long time customer here of over 14 years. Now we have completely cut ties after multiple issues this week. We had to switch to heating oil (with Gel Guard, yeah okay) this year because they no longer sold Kerosene. Should've been my first red flag. This past weekend was super cold and we had our outside tank and line freeze up. We called at 8:30pm Sunday for an emergency call. Wonderful lady said we'd have someone there within 2 hours. 10:30pm rolls around, no call no show. We called them and they apologized up and down, as they never put the call through to tech... Tech finally arrived at 7am next morning- but get this, no oil wrench and no supplies. Tech admitted they are overworked and have been unfreezing customers left and right. Tech left and we had to unfreeze the line ourselves. Called back to get ETA, Jessica (real piece of work) was snarly and told me they have no idea when he'll be back over, the schedule is packed for the day, and they have been non-stop. We then took it upon ourselves to heat the line and prime the furnace. We were back up and running on our own by noon. We closed our account and made sure the account was zeroed out. We tried to relay the feedback to them, but all Jessica could say is she couldn't comment on it, and would simply make sure our account is zeroed. Feedback clearly wasn't going anywhere. They are really messing with people by not giving out the right heating oil, or at least offer Kerosene. 2 neighbors also got froze up by them this week, non-Eastern neighbors were fine. Riddle me that... TLDR- don't do business with these guys. They sell you the oil with seemingly no additive, drop the ball on you when you actually need emergency service, and talk down to you over the phone when following up. YIKES! read more

We've had Eastern since 2003. I don't know why we've stayed with them. We use less propane to save money so they charge us more. Most companies do that but it's still annoying. Just had a delivery yesterday and they wanted to charge us $4.62/gal. We got it lowered to $4.37. See how they treat long time. loyal customers. We've finally had it. I have had these guys for 5 years now for propane and thought it was time to give them some props. Today is the Friday before the blizzard of 2022 and although I was not at my normal level for a fill up, low and behold the Eastern truck pulls in ! Now I don't have to worry about if and when they will be able to get to me after the storm. They have never missed a fill and everyone I have dealt with on the phone or in person has been awesome. I pre-buy in the summer and don't think about it all heating season. Keep up the good work guys I recommend them highly !!! read more

Terrible company. Our bill was $500+ in the dead of summer. When we called to see if they could send someone out to check our meters they said we must have the heat on and it couldn't be their meters. Even though the meters on our house were from 1986! We keep calling to get them to send someone to no avail and meanwhile the bill keeps going up $300-$500 every month even though we turned off the heat. Terrible company. Could not recommend them less. read more

eastern energy is ruthless! we have a crisis in our home... father was air lifted and is on life support in boston, mother has the flu and bilateral pneumonia and 2 kids ages 3 and 5 and they ran out of fuel for heat. eastern energy refused to deliver without prepayment over the phone. shame on them, karma is a bitch!!!!!!! read more

I recently changed propane providers from Amerigas to Eastern, and as a result of the transition, Eastern dispatched a technician to my home this week to perform a leak check on my system. The technician's name was Dave based out of the Hudson, NH office. He arrived right on time, and was extremely knowledgeable and courteous, there was no question that was left unanswered. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, and overall service that was provided to me, keep up the good work! read more

Rep Chad claimed I could buy my tank from them and he would invoice me so switched now getting changed yearly rental fees even though i use over 1000 gallons of propane a season. Don't bother to switch to these guys a waste. Should have stuck with my old company. read more

This is the 2nd review I am leaving for the same company because one technician is equally or even better than another, which proves how well this company trains and maintains its employees. Mike Gauvin, based in Hudson, NH, was so knowledgeable about many propane appliances that I thought he had a high mechanical engineering degree. He noticed installation-related mechanical issues to a furnace that was installed by a different company. His sole intention was to help consumers like me to prevent any unnecessary further damage and cost to existing and good functional appliances. Professionalism and simple care for consumers would make me trust employees of this company like Mike Gauvin and would stay with it for propane-related services. read more

Eastern is nearly a dollar more a gallon than their competitors. I have been a customer since purchasing my home. When I found out what other companies where charging it took zero seconds of thought to get rid of them. I'm sorry I paid them for as long as I did. They also charged me a different price per gallon to fill a smaller tank on the same property. I would have thought they'd treat their loyal customers better. Lesson learned my advice is look elsewhere. read more

This company is horrible. They screw people. I was new to Propane a few months ago. I needed a technician to come , and he was great. No problem with him at all. Unfortunately the company itself it horrible. I got a bill for an outrageous amount of money stating that I have a huge outstanding balance while I am on a budget payment plan. Well when I called to discuss this, they told me that they 'Guestimated" the amount of propane I would use and billed me for propane that I NEVER used. They explained that they do this with new customers. I was never told that Eastern Propane was going to guess how much I would use. I was never notified until I got a call telling me there is a problem with my account and a notice that I had a outstanding balance. WRONG. I have been making payments for months. They would not adjust the bill, now telling me that i used all the propane. WRONG. I added up all the gallons I was delivered and it was lowere than what Eastern had calculated, and they would not adjust the bill. The woman I spoke to told me while in the middle of COVID to call fuel assistance if I couldnt pay them. WHAT????? Seriously that is no way to run a business. Unfortunately I am stuck with them as I rent the house and do not have a choice. DO NOT GET YOUR PROPANE THROUGH THIS COMPANY. They are thieves and they do care about their customers. they SUCK read more
