Dr Fooksman is a wonderful dentist. He took over from Dr Portillo when she left. I think I was so lucky when Dr Fooksman took over the job. I needed an emergency visit and was given one on the same day, as a new patient! Thank goodness. This is a near impossible feat. Receptionist was polite, friendly, and helpful. She booked me right away and my appointment was within five hours of hanging up. Fantastic service. What a miracle. I called a different dentist in the same area just before ESD; and of course, encountered a rushed, unpleasant, rude receptionist who just needs a new job. Facility clean, dentist ran on time. Work needed got done efficiently. Comfortable, clean, loved my new patient gift too. A nice touch. They stand out so yes, this practice deserves five solid stars! Come here you will be happy. I'll start by saying I've been to so many Dentists throughout the years and hated the entire experience and was ashamed of my teeth. Dr. Wolfe & her assistant Alaina restored my faith! Would highly recommend this practice to anyone. They would stop mid procedure to make sure I wasn't feeling anything, even when I was trying to "suck it up/tough it out" didn't want to seem annoying but they would insist on making me feel absolutely nothing which was absolutely comforting. Living on the Eastern Shore, I am a little spoiled about local businesses treating the community members with respect. When you're in staggering pain and they offer a path, giving assurances it will be covered, and it isn't..... I get it, "borrower beware" and all that. And I readily assume the stance of caution when it comes to dealing with big corporate businesses. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Eastern Shore Dental Care. My husband and I joined as new patients in December. We filled out our patient information and scheduled our appointments online. As new patients, we needed consultations before our cleaning but the staff was incredibly accommodating to fit us both in for BOTH services just before the new year!!! When we arrived, we were greeted by the front desk staff to check in. The lobby/waiting area had lots of seats, a ton of bowls filled with ESDC branded items to take, a coffee bar, a water fridge, and had a nice and accessible bathroom. As new patients, we were given a "tour" where we learned a little bit about the practice and the doctors on staff. We were also provided a new patient gift bag and taken to private room to complete our patient information. Our gift was an electric tooth brush with toothpaste in a drawstring bag. Super nice! We were then taken back for our respective appointments. They have TVs on the ceilings of the rooms so you can be distracted while being worked on! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The facilities were modern and clean. I absolutely loved it! And fun fact: they give you a Bath & Body Works gift card when you refer a patient!!! The office is beautiful & clean. The front desk staff is so so nice. I've never been to a nicer looking office. So professional might I add. My cleaning was a breeze & my boyfriend enjoyed his cleaning too. They where also very patient & accommodating to my boyfriend who is in a boot. He takes a bit longer for him to get around. I just wanted to let you know about my experiences thus far with Eastern Shore Dental Care (ESDC). We moved to Gibson's Grant in Chester from Severna Park in Mar. 2021. Due to COVID and my status as Gold Medalist for Procrastination (over 40 years in a row!!), I put off my semi-annual cleanings and checkups for nearly two years. I consulted the "Great and All-Powerful Google" to tell me who Kent Island has the best to say about its dentist practices. I then called ESDC. My concern was for an increasingly painful molar. I called on a Tuesday as a prospective new patient and was given an emergency visit less than 16 hrs later at which time the filling was replaced. I was then given a time slot for a cleaning the very next morning. The entire experience was fantastic. I walked into a large, beautiful, modern, up-to-date dental practice whose organization, procedures, and staff were the best I've seen in my 63 years. I'd like to give callouts for the awesome care and attention I received from Rachel, Patient Coordinator who made these appointments happen, welcomed me, and walked me through the introduction. Anna, Dental Assistant for Dr. Dixon who was friendly, professional (very), and just the best. Dr. Dixon, new dentist to the practice, but not to her trade. Can't say enough for how impressed I was of her talents. Jen, Hygienist who expertly cleaned and shined my no longer so pearly whites. Just as friendly & professional and patient with her patient. I see a couple of negative reviews here complaining about services provided by this office. I could never disagree more. Although it's been quite some time since I have visited Dr. Billings, I know from past experience that if there is a go to person in dentistry he and his staff are the ones to seek out. I am in the process of scheduling an appointment after many years of neglect on my part. I look forward to my visit. I am now retired and can barely afford these services but I would never sacrifice my health. My mother lived to be 98 yrs young and always said, " Never be cheap with food or doctor's". read more

I've been a dental patient here since moving to Kent Island in the Fall of 2012. I love Dr. Murphy & his wonderful staff. They take excellent care of me. Last Thursday, I had 3 cavities filled, I felt no pain. Today I'm having 4 more. No fear! Next week 2 to go. That's it. My headaches are worse than my dental work I told him. I was visiting the area a couple of weeks ago and had a crown fall off. They got me in the day I called. I had to fill out a lot of new patient paperwork, but the service was great, and they processed my insurance. The welcome gift I received was a fabulous electric toothbrush! Who does that? Even though I may not be back since I live in NC. I was seen by Dr Oliveri, and everything was handled expertly. Crown reattached, I walked out a happy camper for a small fee. I have only been a patient about 2 years here and called to reschedule 2 appointments for my son and I for simple hygiene cleaning appts , I didn't miss them but called to reschedule both the morning of , in which I was told if I did not make the appts , or reschedule for later that day I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee for each appt rescheduled ! This is absurd! We all have busy schedules and I could see if I had missed several appointments but I called the morning of to reschedule . The makeover they just did of their fancy office tells me that this business is by no means missing $$$ , they are doing just fine and if this is how they treat their patients I don't want any part ! First time patient. Warm and friendly staff...I received a tour if the facility (surprisingly large!) Prior to my cleaning. Every single step was explained to me and this was helpful because I had several steps that had never been done before...including an oral cancer check and gum assessment and an overall review of my mouth (its general condition, review if xrays & any concerns i had)...It felt like two appointments within the one visit. My hygienist was perfect! I actually had her for a few years at a prior dentist...I am so glad she is here now! I am very happy with my treatment and I also had two of my teenaged boys in this week as well with no complaints at all! If I could give negative stars I most certainly would. I originally became a patient here back in February for ripping my filling out. I had to go thru the whole "cleaning and X-ray" thing and find out I need more than $5500 worth of dental treatment when I told them I was more concerned with the filling and was absolutely NO way I could ever afford such a RIDICULOUS price when it's cheaper else where. I couldn't afford to get the $500 worth of fillings being a single mother and keeping a roof over a heads and food in the fridge just seems a bit more important. I go back in September for my 6 month cleaning and at that time was able to pay for the two fillings so I set the appt up a month later only to take off work and drive over the bridge outta my way to be told that they have Conveniently turned into root canals. BUT COULDNT TELL ME THIS IN SEPTEMBER AFTER THEY WRITE ME UP YET ANOTHER RIDICULOUS PAYMENT PLAN! I tell them I want my money back and that I'm never coming back here again after they had the audacity to suggest ANOTHER asinine payment plan with my "new" root canals added to their nonsense. I get home today to find a letter from their ass of an office manager saying "due to the circumstances from your appt yesterday, it appears that you have lost confidence in our office. With this being said, we feel that it is in your best interest to seek treatment at another dental office" and they even offer to "help" me find one. ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! Esp considering I walked outta there telling them I will NEVER return so don't bother calling my phone every week suggesting I "hurry up and come in" when I refuse to contribute to their SPA and their heated massage chairs versus ACTUAL CARE TO THEIR PATIENTS. I will also be going above this and making an official complaint with the proper authorities. So please don't bother responding to this telling me to "call so we can further talk about this" you've already done the damage. read more

My early childhood experiences with the dentist were horrible. Consequently, I stayed away from the dentist until I was in my forties....eventually, I moved here to the Eastern Shore and transferred to Billings and Murphy. An absolutely wonderful experience and this is coming from someone who is quite fearful of needles, drills, etc. The atmosphere and staff are very calming, and I have not had a moment of anxiety. The quality of the work is topnotch, and they are willing to go the extra mile if you are making an insurance claim. For adults who have not visited the dentist in some time, I say, "Come here. I am a dental aficionado not by choice of course but if you have to go to the dentist Billings, Murphy & Soistman DDS is the only place to go. I am extremely particular about dentist and used to travel out of state to visit my old dentist as I did not like or trust any dentist in MD that I went to. I am so pleased to have found Billings, Murphy & Soistman DDS. The office is professional, clean, organized and each member of the staff is warm and engaging. You are always greeted, escorted and introduced I know they have a very busy practice but somehow they always remember something personal about you and ask you about it, like your visiting a friend. Each hygienists is gentle, caring and experienced. I see Dr. Soistman, and love him and my honey has visited both Dr. Billings and Dr. Murphy they do an amazing job keeping him calm and taking care of him. Have you ever heard people are afraid of the dentist? Well he is horrified to the point of having panic attacks. It is kind of funny because he is a big tuff guy who has no other fear. Everyone there is so sweet and understanding and they do not make him feel embarrassed about his phobia. It took me two years to convince him just to let them look inside his mouth, he would never even go inside the office with me. He has been back twice for his cleanings and once for fillings, only Billings, Murphy & Soistman DDS could have accomplished that. I have had cleanings, fillings, root canals and implants in their office and the experiences all have been wonderful. The only thing that feels pain is my wallet but that is dentistry. If you value your health visit a dentist regularly if you are looking for a dental team that values you and your health this is the only place I would recommend. read more
