I worked with Eastern Sierra Home Inspections to purchase a cabin in Mammoth, and I was not able to be on location. There were no issues whatsoever getting the inspection. From start to finish, Ryan provided excellent service. We had Ryan as our home inspector and couldn't have been happier with the inspection quality, the report summary, and the follow up communication. Everyone in Mammoth is busy right now so we had to schedule our inspection a couple weeks out, but Ryan was able to make sure the summary and follow up call were taken care of right away so we could move on with our escrow process. Ryan offered some great insights into how to prioritize work and what items were important to address prior to winter based on the age and location of our house. He also was able to give us some rough estimates on how much work would cost and gave us some references for trusted contractors and handymen in the area. We were super pleased with the layout of inspection report. We had a lot of times that needed attention so the layout/ format of the report which was categorized and rated by the seriousness of each item was really helpful. We had an inspection report by a different company back in May on a far less complicated property, and this report was easier to digest. read more

Ryan was recommended to us by our real estate agent. His inspection was really well done and thorough. The turnaround on the report was a day (that same night). The online and pdf versions of the report were very useful with categorized items to be addressed by Priorities versus Safety Hazards versus Maintenance. Recently had a home inspection done by Ryan at Eastern Sierra Home Inspections. I have had several home inspections done over the years for properties I have purchased and Ryan's inspection report far surpassed all of them in quality and thoroughness. I am a very detail oriented person and was very impressed with the level of detail in Ryan's report. He also uses a "stoplight" rating system to let you know how important each recommended repair is - making it very easy for a layperson to navigate and understand the report. A list of recommended repairmen and businesses was also provided for each recommended repairs - which we found very helpful since we don't live in the area. Ryan is awesome. I would definitely recommend his services. Our realtor set up an appointment with him for an inspection of a condo we are in the process of purchasing. He inspected the condo and did a really thorough job, documenting all of its problems. We then spoke with him a day or two later, after we read the report and determined what our questions were.
