Love this place, it is a must visit!! My family and I always stop here on our way to Tahoe. Great unique flavor combinations all made in house and always sooo good. Owned by the nicest couple who are always so friendly and patient. They source their ingredients locally and even use some of their home grown fruits in their homemade ice cream. They are open Friday-Monday 11am to 7pm. When they're closed, they are making the ice cream for the next week. A nice quiet stop for a sweet treat on your trip!

Ice cream was great, a root beer flavor was pretty cool and unique to have on the menu. Peppermint patty also tastes great, there was a bit of a line going into the place. Ambiance was like a backyard, bathrooms were immaculate.

I was passing through town with my best bud, and as we drove past this place, he said, "Remember…read morethat fruity coffee cake you got here a couple years ago?" And I was like, "TURN THE CAR AROUND!!" And of course he obliged, coz that's what friends are for, right? We were greeted by the same familiar, friendly blonde gal who's been here for years, and she told us there would be a wait for a table inside; the place was absolutely packed with families and friends happily eating and chatting - not a single empty chair! I had spotted the blackberry peach coffee cake as soon as we walked up to the counter, which was all I wanted, plus we had to get going... it was also a bit loud for our taste, but I'm sure we would have had a nice time if we stayed. I would've taken a picture of this legendary coffee cake, but it was like gone in 60 seconds, so maybe next time! Thank y'all for the hospitality and the consistently delicious coffee cake! It was just as good as I remembered!

But really, they have wraps to go if you need a quick bite. The food isn't anything to write home about - the real star of the show is Jess. She will make you feel welcomed, as if you're a regular. She has the perfect personality to keep the ambiance at the restaurant high energy and fun. Should she ever leave this place, the ratings would likely be closer to a 2-3 star.

As other customers have commented, they make you feel like you're an inconvenience and charge you for it. Yet wait for it -because my friend went in today the very same day on Mother's Day totally different group of people and she had a bad experience too! On Mother's Day, I ordered an arugula salad (it wasn't on the menu yet I saw others eating it). It looked amazing, and I substituted the prosciutto for pesto/olive tapenade--great veggie option. Yes, the owners should make this a menu item. I also ordered a delicious Muscat dessert wine and a cupcake, and everything was pretty awesome. I asked why it wasn't on the menu, and they said people just come in knowing what to order. Several times I've ordered something from the menu, only to be told it's not available, which is confusing because then it comes back on the menu, and they get annoyed when you order something that is supposed to be served. Anyway, everything was great; I was treating myself and happy to splurge... until... Right after I received my food, the server immediately asked for my card. I requested her to bring the bill at the end, as usual, since I wasn't prepared to order more, and I thought the amount was enough. The rose frozen yogurt looked yum, so I decided to use a small sample cup instead of the plastic ones, as the girls were in the back. I didn't want to bother them and thought it would be a fun way to avoid waste. She rushed out with another server, almost making a scene--embarrassing, as I was about to take a photo and mention folks should eat there. She asked me to pay for the sample. I decided not to, and I'm glad I sent it back because the secret salad, not on the menu, was $20, and the wine along with the cupcake turned out to be nearly $40. Every place I've worked at that makes the customer happy usually gets a great tip! You'd think a sample wouldn't be a big deal. I definitely let her know, especially since it was already pricey. Sadly, this isn't the first time I've had service that's just not very nice. I want to let the owners know I love your location and your place, but the service is often rude. The blonde server was sweet and great, but the other "manager" was not. Many people I try to bring here cringe- we like the place, but they say the service is rude. The women make you feel uncomfortable with disapproving looks. Especially today, it's a day to honor mothers. If not, you'll hear from us with our tip. Tip: Would be a 5, but the energy of the servers drops it to a 2; the food raises it to a 3. Owners, you should know. I didn't leave a cash tip-- would have left $10 to be treated well. That's my tip. Every time we go back, we wonder if we want to deal with a mean server. Every time. then my friend, who also went there today for Mother's Day with her entire family they have a huge family. They brought four kids for adult adults and this is what she told me after I shared my review. "That's so crazy that you sent that they were so rude to me today the dark haired lady when I asked her what cupcake flavors she had left. It was like I was pulling teeth to get the flavors from her service is always crappy here." Owners please talk to your staff. They are just not nice.

We come through Lone Pine at least 1x/year and I just tried this bistro and enjoyed it so much. The ladies working there (family owned) are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. I always appreciate hospitality service workers and make it a point to be friendly and appreciative to everyone. It's just so darn difficult here. I mean for the last 6 years this has been a regular spot and nothing really seems to change. The ladies here just don't seem to enjoy their jobs. During our last visit we needed to use the restrooms and they were very unclean. My brain always connects dirty bathrooms to probably dirty kitchens. I never like to give poor reviews and give regular spots multiple tries. We just can't do it anymore. There is a coffee shop and juice bar across the street we will be trying on our next trip.

Luckily for us ,it wasn't too crowded as we stopped by Thursday morning, so parking was great and lines were not too long. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with hundreds of packaged sweets and breads, what a paradise to those that love carbs. I ordered a turkey club sandwich and my wife ordered a BLT with avocado. Ofcourse, we also cannot leave without taking a few pastries with us :) My sandwich was delicious and not to heavy, the bread was fluffy, the turkey was thickly carved, the avocado was noticeably present and the tomato and lettuce were a nice touch, one side had mustard and the other mayo. I was pleasantly surprised and the sandwich did not disappoint. My wife's sandwich was identical but with bacon instead of. Turkey. As far as the pastries, they were good, they are very light and not to sweet, so if your looking for krispykreme, this is not it for you. Overall, I'm glad this place was recommended and will definitely go back whenever we take a drive back up north!
