Don't know about the food, but the coffee was outstanding! We were craving an affogato (espresso with ice cream) and were completely satisfied. The coffee was strong, rich, and flavorful--probably the best espresso I've had--and the ice cream was fantastic as well. It was exactly what I was hoping for, and it even exceeded my expectations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place with friendly staff and a super cozy ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have a shop inside, and the items there are really cool!

I forgot the name, but it's GOOD

Coffee options are great, sandwiches are FILLING, ice cream, pastries, donuts - and bagels for the early risers. I love this place! They have also been kind enough to drop a few espresso shots in a milkshake for me after a bad trail wipeout. Exactly what I needed to feul the drive home!

Food: I enjoyed the veggie sandwich. I ordered combo so it came with a small cup of pasta salad, a bag of chips, and soda. Service: You order and pick up your food at the counter. Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's was alright. It's a mix of eatery and a souvenir store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Restroom: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, but the soap dispenser needs to be changed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute little cafe on our road trip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had coffee and cookies for the road. Everything was yummy and the service was super fast.

If you're driving through town, then stop by for coffee and sandwiches. They have tons of options to choose from and the employees are all so kind.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute and friendly little cafe and gift shop![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We popped in here for lunch and a milkshake before our long drive home from Bishop to Los Angeles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]John Wayne adorns the walls, and staff is cheerful and personable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a roast beef and swiss sandwich, hubby had a chili dog, and we shared a chocolate shake. The sides were particularly delicious: house made pasta salad and potato salads that really sang. This is my second time stopping here on my way home from the Eastern Sierra, and I look forward to seeing Lone Star Bistro again down the road.

This not so hidden gem is located right on the main drag of town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menu is written in chalk board and service area can be a little small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was a huge let down for me. Bread was cold and stale. Chili cheese was also not warm.

This small, cute, cafe has a simple but solid menu. You start by marking on a paper what exactly you want. There are sandwiches you can choose from or you can design your own. You can also make any sandwich into a salad. I opted for the Lone Pine Charmer: turkey, provolone, bacon, tomato, red onion, cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, avocado, artichoke pesto, on wheat bread. This sandwich was large and can easily be shared. My friend chose the same sandwich but as a salad and that too was big and filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe also has a cute store in the back where you can buy souvenirs, shirts, magnets, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and helpful and there is plenty of street parking. Definitely a great options when visiting or traveling through Lone Pine

During our trip along US-395, I wanted to picnic at Alabama Hills. I saw that Lone Star Bistro offered sandwiches. I do love me a good sandwich, especially from a local bistro. This place is easily accessible and right along Main St. Before I proceed: do note that their deli opens at 10:30 am. We got there at 10 am and they were still serving breakfast items, and we specifically wanted sandwiches. You can put your order in beforehand with their sandwich ordering form, but they will not start making their sandwiches until 10:30 on the dot. The interior of Lone Star Bistro is very cute, with plenty of souvenirs to browse and purchase. We got a magnet to commemorate our visit to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. I ordered the Lone Pine Charmer, which is one of their signature sandwiches, while my husband ordered the Hwy 395. Both of us got sourdough, but they also have other breads to choose from. We were not in the mood for coffee but it looked good. I'd like to try it next time we visit Lone Pine. We were the first to place our sandwich orders, so they were ready just past 10:30 am. It was a warm day, so I wanted to make it to Alabama Hills before it got warmer. Upon finding a secluded shady location to enjoy our brunch, we were happy to find that our sandwiches were portioned nicely. All the ingredients were deliciously refreshing. The artichoke pesto on my Lone Pine Charmer was delightful, and the bacon was sooo crispy. I love sprouts and I was very pleased that there were plenty stuffed in my sandwich. My husband loved the pastrami on his Hwy 395. I got to try a morsel and I'd agree with him. For the only dedicated sandwich shop in Lone Pine, this place is awesome. The prices were affordable and the kitchen staff were friendly. I would totally support Lone Star Bistro again (and try their coffee) the next time we are in the area.

Stopped by here on the way back from Mammoth and tried out two of their sandwiches + the strawberry banana smoothie. The sandwiches are pretty average- they just put the ingredients together into the bread. Nothing special here- the bread wasn't toasted either, so it felt like I could've just made this myself at home. The smoothie was refreshing though! And the service was pretty fast. They serve other things like coffee, some jerky, and snacks. It's a cute little store, with an outside patio which was nice because I could bring my dog back there.

We are in Lone Pine this weekend for a wedding and we found this cozy spot. There is a breakfast menu, ice cream, sandwiches and specialty coffee. Definitely a must try if your driving through Lone Pine to get to Mammoth Mountain.

Good coffee! This is my new stop for caffeine when on the 395 from LA to Reno. Barista is chatty and friendly and pleasant. Seems like a spot that would have really good sandwiches but I haven't tried one yet. Yet.

Beer on tap. This was an IPA and my friend had a Blonde Ale.

It was around 1pm and I was still looking to have breakfast, but my hubby was looking for lunch. This place seemed to offer both and the reviews were good too! We were able to park right up front. They have an outside patio in the front area as an option to dine at. It was definitely a hot day in the high 90's, so it wasn't an option for us to sit out there today. Although they did have misters on which was a nice touch. We walked in to a busy place and there were only two tables available, so we sat down right away. It took a while for us to get our menu's, but we can see it was busy. Our server was really nice and once we ordered our food, it was served pretty quickly! I ordered the Ironman Scramble with the Cheddar Jalapeño bread which the bread was so delicious! I also ordered a refreshing Peach Iced Tea. My husband ordered the Alabama Hills Bacon Cheese Burger and a Strawberry Lemonade. We were both very happy with our meals and even ordered a Cinnamon Roll to go! All the baked goods looked amazing too.

It took a few minutes of waiting but our waitress came by and took our order. We ordered fresh OJ while we decided what to eat. Unfortunately our waitress never came back to take our food order after we got our OJ. Around the 10min mark of waiting and wondering where our waitress was, we overheard the staff telling some of the customers that their systems were down and were not able to take orders or payment. Oddly, they only seemed to communicate this to guests who were waiting or standing in line. I saw one customer pay cash for their food while they let another customer go without asking for payment (they told him not to worry about it). However, I didn't see any of the staff communicate to patrons who were already seated, including us. After another 10min of waiting to see if someone would come by to tell us of the issue, we decided to just get up and leave after being there for almost 30 minutes. On our way out, we handed some cash to a random staff member to pay for the OJ, but she didn't even seem to care. Although I was excited to try their breakfast items, their service (or lack thereof) has turned me away from wanting to visit again. I understand you're busy and having your systems offline added to the chaos, but the staff could have easily just made an announcement to the whole restaurant (it's a small restaurant) about the issue, thanking people for their patience, and letting us know what to expect.

We love to stop at different little coffee spots and were pleasantly surprised with Vibras. They have a large coffee sign outside which is how we knew they serve coffee in addition to fresh juices. We ordered a drip coffee an oatmilk latte. She gave us the drip coffee immediately, which was nice. The coffee was rich and very tasty (not bitter or flavored). You should know though they do not have a public restroom, which is somewhat of a draw back when you are serving hot and cold beverages and want to attract travelers. I still gave them five stars for their coffee and service. I think that possible they are more of a juice bar, but we were very happy with the caffeine fix.

It took us so long to get our food that we had to completely change our plans for the day! However the acai bowls are great and so are the teas. We would have come again and again if the place could keep up. Another morning I got a couple juices that were delicious.

She came back and said in fact they don't serve Margarita's. She said she had no idea, and that she didn't even live in the area. What does where she lives have anything to do with anything? I don't want to be mean, but ?? I ordered the 1/2 rack of these "Famous Ribs." My hubby the Flat Iron steak. We asked for salads as the choice instead of soup. We wait and wait...starving after having hiked all over the Alabama Hills. It is customary to get the salad ahead of time, but this young lady was doing other things. Suddenly after 15 min. we got our meals with no salad. She was getting ready to walk away when I asked about the salads. She went and got them not really concerned about it, and was not really understanding. So onto these ribs! I'm traumatized by these things that were so overcooked and dry. What on earth was done to these things? It seems they were boiled, then frozen, then defrosted, and microwaved? Who knows!! I do know this. I have been making ribs for a long time. For the love of God you don't need to kill the pig 15 times! My hubbies Flat Iron Steak was alright. Not completely hideous. Needless to say, there are not many choices in the Lone Pine. Breakfast prices are about what you would expect for a small restaurant in a small town. Plenty of good options to choose from. I was contemplating the pancakes and the French toast. I tried the 2 piece French toast and it came with some cantaloupe. It was warm, fluffy, and tasty. It came with plenty of butter packets and large syrup container. It hit the spot for sure. I think it was about $12.
