We recently ate at The Grill twice during our stay in Lone Pine & sadly I forgot to take a picture of any food. The first visit we had lunch: The Grill Burger with the slaw, pineapple & upgraded to onion rings for the side, Cheeseburger with fries as the side. The second visit we both ordered the Battered Fish which came with a nice side salad, fries & coleslaw. The burgers were good, onion rings fantastic especially with the ranch for dipping. The battered fish was very filling/ tasty, fries were good, salad was fresh/ crisp. There is about 12 tables inside with outside seating available. The service is fantastic & friendly. Location is great with easy access to parking

Pretty solid joint for a nice snack off the 395. I'm preparing for a massive hike next month, so I got something relatively healthy hehe. The blackened chicken sandwich had a really good flavor to it, and was pretty delicious. I got it with the side salad and it was mediocre. The french fries here are really good though, stole some from my partner's plate. He had the burger, which he thought was just ok as well. Service was incredibly friendly, and this place is very dog friendly. I have a small Chihuahua who I considered to be my child, and they really treated him like a human, which I appreciate.

We completed Whitney and was heading home. We stopped here for a quick to go dinner on our way out of town. Pretty solid salads and sandwiches. The staff were friendly. Please come and create your own adventure.

Food is excellent. They have vegetarian options. Clean and tastefully decorated. The waiter was very friendly and this seems to be the nature of everyone at Lone Pine.

Fantastic cheeseburger and crispy fries! Cooked to order and hot out of the kitchen! Cold beer too!

First timer here...loved it! Cute/clean restaurant, great food and service! Respectable pricing too!

The entry is a bit confusing (one door for entry around the building from the parking lot, and one set of doors that lead to the patio for exit?) but once inside it was quiet, clean and cool. Sit wherever you want is nice, so we sat by the window. A friendly lady greeted us, took our drink order and returned shortly for our food order. The menu is sparse, mostly sandwiches and lunch options, with some salad options as well. We ordered a BLT & a patty melt, fries, onion rings & two waters. The BLT had thick cut bacon, and some of the freshest lettuce & tomatoes I've ever had. The patty melt was bland and flavorless. The fries and onion rings were good. For sandwiches, it's a little on the pricy side at $56 for two, also considering we had water to drink, so with all the other options in town, I can't say I would recommend this place to anyone passing through, but it wasn't bad. We got a cookie to go and it was super dry so maybe skip those if you go here.

What a great experience at The Grill! The staff was amazing, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Our waitresses, Jerry and Carlotta, were so friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was hot, fresh, and came out quickly. Everything tasted great and you could tell it was made with care. The inside was clean and super cute decor! If we ever come through town again, we'll absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

The Grill is the spot to go to for some yummy hooot food. They don't call this place "The Grill" for nothing. I was in town for a camping trip and my trusted Yelp App listed this local restaurant as one of the options for lunch. With the high ratings, I couldn't pass up on this foodie experience. Our waitress, Jerry, was FANTASTIC! She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the California Burgers and let me tell ya'll...sooo hot and juuuicy...perfectly cooked and seasoned. The onion rings and coleslaw were both delish. I highly recommend The Grill. It was welcoming with a laidback home-like atmosphere. The table service was tippity top of top notch :-)

Good food. Have driven by here many a times. Decided to have an early dinner and was pleasantly impressed. Meals chosen. Started with a cup of chicken rice soup. No can used here. Savory. 1/2 rack BBQ pork ribs. Nicely seasoned fries, fresh mixed vegetables. Garlic chicken, mashed potatoes (fresh) , mixed vegetables. Dessert Homemade blackberry pie ala mode! We will be back!

Really good service, good view of the mountains, food was good I got the jalapeño burger with onion rings. 100% recommend the cheese cake, you can tell it's home made

A fine place for delicious food and great service. Unfortunately I didn't get the names of my lady server, the chef, and the busboy (the chef's identical twin brother) though all contributed to a wonderful meal for an extremely weary traveler who had just traversed Death Valley.

Very family friendly. The wait staff was very nice. The food was great. I had a BLT and the bacon was awesome.

Veggie wrap much better than it may look!

We have taken our dog before and been seated on the patio. No problems what so ever and the waitress enjoyed interacting with our dog.

Some of us had the munch special and some of us had the main dishes. All portions were large, fresh, delicious, and presented well. We ordered two vegetarian dishes and literally could not stop eating them. We will definitely be stopping in here every time we travel through Bishop. One last note on the service. Our waiters were great. Kept checking on us to make sure we were happy. Kept our drinks full and met our all of our needs. Highly recommended this spot!!

I had a bad experience on the last night of our vacation. …read more I wanted to order the egg rolls but when I asked what kind, I was told pork. I made a comment about how I wanted vegetable ones. Server said nothing. I later asked a few more questions about the dishes but everything I asked for was a no. Example: I asked if the Kung Pao had watercress. "No". That's ok I thought. I asked if the cashew chicken had green onion in it. "No". Everything was a no. I made a comment about being picky I guess. My husband ordered the sesame beef and we both ordered the shrimp fried rice. I didn't order anything else because I got a bad vibe but my husband was embarrassed and I got upset and I left. I came on this site and noticed that the egg rolls are vegetable egg rolls so I called to confirm. Menus change? Who knows? I was told on the phone that they have beef rolls- quantity of 2 or vegetable egg rolls- quantity of 4. What the ????? Horrible service. I will never set a foot in this place. How hard is to say, we can add green onion for a small charge? How hard is it to repeat yourself if your customer is having trouble understanding you? My parents are not native English speakers and speak with a broken accent. IDGAF. But to be rude and condescending with your customers is just wrong. You know who you are, "Asian man with a ponytail and a small limp or funny walk. Get another job or stay in the kitchen, you are hurting your business. I will go to the merry go round next time.

She came back and said in fact they don't serve Margarita's. She said she had no idea, and that she didn't even live in the area. What does where she lives have anything to do with anything? I don't want to be mean, but ?? I ordered the 1/2 rack of these "Famous Ribs." My hubby the Flat Iron steak. We asked for salads as the choice instead of soup. We wait and wait...starving after having hiked all over the Alabama Hills. It is customary to get the salad ahead of time, but this young lady was doing other things. Suddenly after 15 min. we got our meals with no salad. She was getting ready to walk away when I asked about the salads. She went and got them not really concerned about it, and was not really understanding. So onto these ribs! I'm traumatized by these things that were so overcooked and dry. What on earth was done to these things? It seems they were boiled, then frozen, then defrosted, and microwaved? Who knows!! I do know this. I have been making ribs for a long time. For the love of God you don't need to kill the pig 15 times! My hubbies Flat Iron Steak was alright. Not completely hideous. Needless to say, there are not many choices in the Lone Pine. This is not a choice I would ever venture to again if in the area.
