I can honestly say the last 2 years have been an absolute pleasure with "Ricar transportation"!! We went through about 15 different companies and it was one horror story after another! These companies that transport mental or disabled patients some like my son, who know some things, but suffer some sort of deficit! My son doesnt always know whats going on, he suffers short term memory loss, so as a Mom it was extremely difficult to put my son in somebody elses hands! Some companies leaving him down the block, or near sunrise hway and some just breaking down or bringing my so 2 hours late! The bottom line is that we Finally found a great company in Ricar, especially Theresa in dispatch and our favorite drivers Joanne, Marc and sometimes Steve! When we called dispatch to find out what's going on, they told us to wait for another 15 minutes to an hour. So in total, we waited over 2 hours for no reason!!! My mom was hungry and fatigued from the chemo. We couldn't even go get food because they always say, the car will arrive anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. And every single time I send a complaint, we don't get any replies. WHY??? This is a terrible car service company. I wish I could choose the car service for my mom, but it's not allowed. But every time the dispatch calls Lyft instead, because the original call doesn't show, somehow Lyft always shows up on time!!! How hard is it to keep the freaking appointment?!??? Why do I have to make the pick up appointment 3 days in advance when black car express hardly ever shows up???
