-- DO NOT MOVE HERE -- Beware of Martha -- I wish I could give them ZERO stars. Martha the…read more"property manager" is one of the rudest people I have met in my life. And Kim is just her little puppy dog who follows her around acting like she's scared of her. Martha Martha's likes to pick and choose who she wants to enforce the "rules" on. As soon as Martha doesn't like you, she will target you and the most petty 3 day notices, but you can see around the property she clearly does not enforce the rules You should move here if you like: - poor communication... from everyone, especially the maintance guys who get their feelings hurt when you ask for basic heads up they are coming over. - maintance men snooping around your apartment with their Metaglasses. - skid marks on the sidewalks from the "trash" service you are forced to pay. - stray cats spraying your patio so it smells like cat pee. They get into the crawl spaces and make noise. - broken down cars taking up carport space and expires tags-- another rule she will pick and choose who she wants to enforce it on. Cars being used for storage full of junk. - nails all over the parking lots; I picked up 3 nails in my tire in less than a month. I've picked up nails and screws in the parking lot just walking to my car. - dog poop everywhere, especially in the dog park. Martha can't even replace the poop scooper; pathetic efforts from a property manager. - the laundry room is DISGUSTING. Water leaks on the floor and there are no paper towels, mop... nothing to clean it up. The machines are disgusting and dirty-- NO ONE CLEANS THEM. People leave poopy items in the washer. So bring your own cleaner with you to wipe when out bc this place is disgusting. - so many patios in "disarray"(Martha's favorites word) - homeless people digging in the dumpsters - front gates are always open and broken - the cops are always in the complex - Martha will call the cops on you if she thinks you are smoking marijuana lol - Martha will kick you out for smoking marijuana; even tho the property is NOT a non- smoking property. - the maintenance guys will report back to Martha they saw "paraphernalia" in your home; but with no proof. - they never put in an air filter before we moved in - drug dealers living in the T building, homeless friends always coming in and out, leaving their bikes out in the walkway. - they will tell you your dog can be on the patios then give you a 3 day notice for breaking some rule she pulled out her bootyhole. - only certain people can have plants on their patios, depends on if Martha likes you or if she's trying to Meet her metrics for the month. -Asset Living is a useless company - Martha said I couldn't have a rug on my patio even tho other tenets do? Seriously, do not waste your time here. Kim's selling point will be what a beautiful, trash free property it is a trashy property full of people on government housing vouchers who can't get kicked out. They will try to scam you into the "look and lease". Kim will try to tell you the upstairs 1bed/1ba is private bc you don't share a stairwell with anyone-- it's far from private if Martha is complaining I have a patio rug.

Cautionary Review: Document Everything and Be Prepared for Maintenance Issues…read more I recently (August 2025) concluded my tenancy at Medici Apartment Homes and feel obligated to share my experience regarding their maintenance and deposit handling practices. Prospective tenants should be aware of the following: 1. Serious Maintenance Negligence & Concealment Undisclosed/Unrepaired Water Leaks: I experienced significant issues with water intrusion and maintenance response. Despite numerous, documented reports (via email and video), a known leak associated with visible mold was initially concealed with plaster and paint rather than properly remediated. The necessary repairs were only initiated after a subsequent failure. Safety Hazard Ignored: Another active water leak was detected by an outside company near an electrical outlet, presenting a serious potential safety hazard. Despite this professional report, the complex failed to repair or mitigate the hazard. My strong advice to anyone considering this complex: For your own protection and safety, insist on having all maintenance requests and follow-ups communicated and confirmed exclusively in writing (email). Maintain a detailed personal record of dates, communications, and photos/videos. 2. Issues with Billing and Move-Out Deposit My experience with the final billing was confusing and highly problematic: Privacy Breach: The initial move-out statement I received contained another tenant's personal information, violating their privacy. Inaccurate Charges: After moving out, I was charged over $9,000 for various fees, including attorney fees and amounts that had already been dismissed in a formal legal settlement (an Unlawful Detainer case where the settled amount owed was explicitly zero). Inaccurate Property Damage Claims: The charges included replacing all plank flooring, despite my unit having only carpet and minor stick-and-peel in wet areas--some of which was documented as damaged before my tenancy. Resolution: After a protracted battle involving corporate management, the erroneous legal charges were eventually dismissed, with corporate stating they were unaware of the prior court settlement. However, I still had to fight charges for items like lease breakage. Note: Due to the complexity of the maintenance and billing disputes, their own attorney advised the complex to settle the Unlawful Detainer case, resulting in a finding that I owed zero rent. Tenants should be prepared to fight all charges and have clear documentation. 3. Alleged Retaliation I must also note a concerning event: After the Unlawful Detainer case was filed against me, my son--who lived in a completely separate unit--was subsequently and unexpectedly added to my legal case. This raises serious questions about the complex's internal management and handling of disputes. Final Recommendation: Proceed with extreme caution. While the location may be appealing, be prepared for potential maintenance negligence, a lack of transparency, and a complicated move-out process. Document every single interaction and repair request via email.
