They have an excellent selection of fasteners, like the metric nuts and bolts that I needed and even some chrome and stainless. Very helpful employees. They provided real customer service, not the kind of thing you tend to get in the big home improvement stores. read more

Open since 1939, we are now one of the Eastern Shore's oldest and most widely recognized independent hardware stores. There were multiple hiccups on the LG side and they helped us navigate all of it. The delivery team was very friendly and accommodating. There are restrictions on how much they will let you reschedule ahead of time but if you call the morning of delivery, they do their best to help you. The lawn and garden center is amazing as well. They are very helpful. I've been to a lot of Home Depot's and Lowe's and Ace Hardware's around the state And This location is great.

I went in to get window treatments as well as framing -- the lack of interest to framing led me to find another vendor. I was able to order roller shades, but the batteries were ordered inconsistently -- half rechargeable and the other replaceable AA batteries. When asked to change them all to the rechargeable batteries the cost was prohibitive so I asked from them to be all AA. Supposedly, he was mailing them to my client's home directly; they never came. When asked again, they never came. I have asked again, and now he wants to charge me to get what was originally ordered. For a company so disorganized, it will come at a cost in time and money to you. I would highly advise using another local company even if they may be more expensive (there are several others) than Hubbard's, but you will pay for it in the long run if you choose to use Hubbard's. It pains me to discourage using a Cambridge company when I wish local companies would thrive, but in good conscience I cannot encourage anyone to use this company.

BUYER BEWARE !! I…read morebought a walking pad on 11/4, took it home to realize it was sold without the power cord or the remote to use the pad. I went back on 11/10 ( I work a hybrid schedule so wasn't back in the area until then). I was told that I was not able to return the walking pad - one that requires an electric cord to plug into the wall & a remote to work it, because it was not considered an "electronic" and not a part of their return policy. The manager proceeded to be rude and get smart with me and asked me why I would purchase something when I didn't know if it had all of the parts, which I followed up and asked her why they would sell something on the floor without all of the parts to it. She responded with "that's how it gets donated." So are you going to 1 shoe instead of a match? Are you going to sell a movie without the DVD in it? They really tried to convince me that a walking pad, that needs electricity to work, and has motors, was not an electronic device because it was exercise equipment. I didn't buy dumbbells. Since they didn't want to give me a refund for my purchase, I left my receipt with the manager & went and "donated" the walking pad BACK to them. I can't use it. So if you see an Ancheer walking pad in the back, don't buy it.

Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. The bakery side had a variety of yummy treats from doughnuts, pies, cookies and cakes. Definitely grabbed a few for later. The Apple Pie ice cream my hunnie ordered was delicious. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.
