The bathroom near the front which is open to the public walking through the lobby isn't quite as filthy but the one inside the theater is a disaster more often than not. I'm tired of walking in baby steps for fear of slipping and falling on my rear. My rating would be significantly higher if this theater could do the bare minimum in keeping the bathrooms clean (my wife told me that the ladies' room is bad too).

If it were human, the Clayton Theatre in Dagsboro would be well past the age for collecting Social Security. But owner Joanne Howe has no plans for the theater to retire anytime soon. The landmark theater celebrated its 75th anniversary. The theater is open seven days a week. The Clayton is rare for being the only single-screen theater in Delaware that consistently shows first-run films. The older people that come love it, because it reminds them of their old theaters. The theater seats 350 people. The Clayton Theatre offers today's moviegoers a rare opportunity to see first-run movies in a charming hometown atmosphere. They offer fresh popcorn, ice-cold sodas, and a vast array of the most popular concession candies. I was amazed that the theater was very nice and not run down. We purchased some popcorn, drinks and snacks. I was here with my family of five including two elementary school children for $56. I was expecting a smaller theater, but was surprised by the size and updated design inside the theater. It was very nice and comfortable. See my pics. Very few people were here Wednesday night for the 7 PM showing of Karate Kid: Legends. I enjoyed the movie and my movie viewing here because the theater was not crowded. I went to the 2 pm screening of Captain Marvel and was the only person in the theater. I gotta tell you, it's pretty cool to have any theater where you are the only person, but in an IMAX, it's incredible. The sound was amazing, the image quality was amazing and the seats are comfortable too. The concessions was open, but they didn't have any popcorn so I got a bottle of soda and some dots ice cream. For $13.95 with no tax, the experience is a steal and I highly recommend to see whatever Hollywood movie they are playing.

We recently watched "Avengers:Endgame" here and here's what I think: PROS: 1) Ticket price is way cheaper than Imax tickets at AMC, or comparable formats at Cinemark, Landmark, etc. 2) It boasts of having the largest screen, and it really is. Very impressive. 3) It's at Inner Harbor, so there are lots of things to see and do before and after screening. 4) We went on a Sunday, and there was a concession stand with popcorn and drinks and other stuff, not much, but at least. CONS: 1) I wasn't impressed by the sound. They said it was surround, but it wasn't. Plus, you can hear other people's laughter more than the movie audio, very distracting. 2) There is no Wi-Fi at the Maryland Science Center where this is located. Which is surprisingly disappointing for an educational site. 3) There are no reserved seating so if you want to get the best seats, be prepared to line up early. For us, since it was the Avengers opening weekend, we lined up an hour before. The place was full. 4) The seats don't recline, they don't even swing back, they are fixed. 5) Others may find parking a problem if you don't come in early. So, to sum up, would I go again to this place? Yes, I might. It depends on what's showing. For me, the best movie experience is still the Dolby theaters at AMC with the clear visuals and moving audio: the screen is not that big but you get recliner seats and reserved seating. It just costs a lot more.

One time the dr. pepper soda was out so I let someone behind the snack counter know and they addressed the issue promptly. The staff includes a lot of young people (kids really) and they have for the most part been respectful and helpful. Try to understand the limitations in small venues and be patient. I hope this place sticks around for many years to come and continues to improve as they have over the years.

I saw an R rated HORROR film that started at 10pm at this theater. Directly behind me was a group…read moreof young adults or teenagers and a toddler. I let the employees know that there was a toddler and expected them to remove the child and parent from the theater because they are supposed to check IDs for the 17+ age requirement and clearly that wasn't done (and a toddler of that age can't consent or choose to see this type of movie; they are forced to). The parent and group were approached by management and nothing came of it. They allowed a toddler to witness a horror film and for the rest of the theater to hear the child's noises throughout the film. I won't be going back. I expect an R rated film showing at 10pm to be child free, and children shouldn't be subjected to the scenery in such a film. Completely unacceptable on the parts of the theater workers and the parent(s) of the child.

Movie seats are soooo comfortable and very spacious. Only ever had one issue, movie was scheduled to start at a certain time, we got there about 15 minutes before hand, got our drinks and snacks. Once we got into the theater we got settled with about 5-10 minutes before movie start time which was perfect. Once movie started at correct time we noticed people coming in about 15-30 minutes after and the late people demanded the manager to restart the movie.... So about 30 minutes into the movie we already started, he started it over for them vs them just coming to a different time. Inconveniencing the people that actually arrived on time.... They did give us a gift card for the inconvenience so everything was handled but I just feel like since it was a new movie with so many show times they could of just been moved to the next showing since some people are running on a time limit.
