One of the best theatres you will ever visit. Seats are world class with the best recliners and very comfortable. Screens are amazing and the audio quality is top notch. They have a restaurant and you can bring food inside. Arcade area is awesome for all age groups. Various things to keep yourself and your kids occupied for hours. Highly recommend checking out mini golf and go kart. If you're into baseball, you will love their batting cage as well. It has speed setup for various levels. They provide helmets and bats. The landmark theater celebrated its 75th anniversary. The theater is open seven days a week. The Clayton is rare for being the only single-screen theater in Delaware that consistently shows first-run films. The older people that come love it, because it reminds them of their old theaters. The theater seats 350 people. The Clayton Theatre offers today's moviegoers a rare opportunity to see first-run movies in a charming hometown atmosphere. They offer fresh popcorn, ice-cold sodas, and a vast array of the most popular concession candies. I was amazed that the theater was very nice and not run down. We purchased some popcorn, drinks and snacks. I was here with my family of five including two elementary school children for $56. I was expecting a smaller theater, but was surprised by the size and updated design inside the theater. It was very nice and comfortable. See my pics. After arriving I went to my seats and some people were sitting there, so I got an employee, who looked at the tickets and told the people sitting in MY seats that they were here for the wrong showing time, the person in MY seat said "we got these tickets 10 min ago from the guy up front", the employee yelled, "oh f***" and RAN AWAY. I was just a kid so I thought he would be back....NOPE. Me and my friend sat there with our other group of friends just waiting. The movie started and we looked at each other thinking "where is he". We go outside and talk to the manager who said the best she could do is give us "some free popcorn and tickets to a different movie". Thank god my friend's mom was there to advocate for us, giving the woman a good talking to. After all of that I still went back recently for one of my friends, and the place somehow got WORSE. None of the drinks were working, popcorn was nasty, theater was DISGUSTING and broken, the whole place was gross. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE EVER IN MY LIFE. I now take the 45 minute drive up to Annapolis to watch movies. I'm waiting for the day this place gets shut down FOREVER.

There was no one in line at concessions, so two employees were having a grand time socializing. When the young lady finally came to the register, there was no greeting at all. Interesting how one can be friendly toward their co-worker but lack customer service for the job they are being compensated for. I actually greeted her first and jokingly said something like, "The roles seem reversed," but I don't think she understood what I meant. Since when did greeting customers become optional? And why should customers feel like they're inconveniencing employees simply because they'd rather continue chatting with coworkers? Basic courtesy and acknowledgment still matter. There are other places I can spend my money.
