We had just purchased a vintage camper in Bozeman and Two Medicine Campground was our first spot with the new/old rig.....what a joy and a treat! Get there early...it fills up fast.

It lacks pretension, it's doesn't have a bunch of frills. And it's perfect! Full hook ups, pull thru, very spacious. It's close to Glacier, so we were able to roll our motorcycle out of the back of our rig and ride into the park. This really is a hidden gem, you just can't beat the view or the scenery. It's walking distance to the village and we are of the opinion Serranos for dinner is your best bet. Laundromat serves not only the local community but the campground as well. This is essentially a 3 or 4 acre spacious lot in front of someones home and we could not ask for a better place for our base camp for our motorcycle adventure in Glacier.

She made mention that it was locally owned, AND it was the only one of the 3 restaurants she named which was open before 4pm, which is when we were there, so we trekked on over. We arrived behind a large party of about 8 people and were the only other table in the restaurant. They - or should I say he - took our order quickly and were willing to accommodate a special request (to have a breakfast dish after their stated cutoff time due to a wheat allergy; almost everything on the lunch menu is breaded/fried, so I couldn't eat it). It was clearly Native-owned, which I was happy to support. However, the poor guy who took our order was the only one in the place. He was doing everything: stocking, cleaning, taking orders, cooking. We were there for nearly an hour when the other party's food came out. By this point, we had figured out that he was flying solo, so we were sort of hoping our food would come out at the same time. It didn't. We asked if ours had been started yet, and it hadn't. Seeing that we were staying 3 hours from the park, we had to leave to meet up with our family without having any lunch. This could easily have been avoided with a little communication from the get-go: "Hey, a large party just came in ahead of you. Just so you know, it's probably going to be an hour or more before you see any food." We would have left then and had time to get lunch before starting our drive back to Augusta. As it was, we paid for our 1 drink, made do with whatever snacks we had, and hit the road. Can't comment on the food and the guy was super nice, so I hate to leave a not-great review, but I can't imagine what would have happened if 2 or more of the parties from our boat ride had arrived at the same time we had. I think a little work on the staffing side would do wonders.

Special of the day was bison sloppy Joe's, but I opted for the wedge salad which included a huckleberry vinaigrette dressing. When we arrived at the campsite the ranger was very friendly and gave us helpful information about storing our food items and being sure to pack everything up as this area is prone to bears. The site itself was very private. Our particular campsite allowed the RV to be parked in front and was surrounded by trees so we felt as though we were in our own little camping world. The sites at the top of loop C offer an open field perfect for sunset watching or stargazing, but do not provide as much privacy. When planning your stay, be sure to note the shower locations. We were on the opposite end of the loop, and running to the showers in the brisk morning air was not a favorable option. Additionally, the visitors center is a little bit of a walk, but provides a shuttle to Logan Pass via "Going to the Sun Road". This was a great option for us, as our RV was not able to drive the road due to vehicle size restrictions. I would recommend the shuttle as it runs pretty frequently and parking can be scarce at the popular overlooks and trail heads. Overall, we enjoyed this campsite and look forward to coming back here!

Views views views!…read more Great change of pace after days of hiking. I rented a 1 seater kayak from glacier outfitters. It may look like a far walk but it isn't! Totally doable. The staff was very nice to explain everything to me. They showed me the lake map and where to go and not go, etc. Instructions were very clear. I rented 2 hours (they have you 15 mins for the round trip walk). The walk from the rental to the lake I thought was a bit of a walk but it was not bad to haul the kayak there, they are on wheels so it is not bad. You leave the wheels near the trees. Returning the kayak was fairly easy as well. There are lockers available that you can put your stuff if you don't want to take it with you. The minimum number of hours is 2 hours and it was 40 something. Overall it was a good experience! Everything was great. Would recommend and use service again.

(highly recommend reservations)…read more There is a small parking lot and some street parking but it was not a busy day and it was full. We had people waiting for our parking spot when we returned to the car. I'm not sure where people would park when it gets very busy. Perhaps there is another parking lot I didn't see. When you walk up to G.O. you sign waivers, pay the fee and are gathered in an area for instructions. The man who provided the instructions was very informative. Advised us of areas in Flathead Lake to avoid including a rough water area and a few bald eagle's nests as they recently laid eggs. After instructions, you are provided with the kayak, paddle, life jacket and a cart to roll the kayak down to the lake. Now, I'm pretty strong but the kayaks are heavy. I did think to myself, how would someone with less strength get this kayak down to the lake? Something to ask about if you are renting as it is several yards to walk with a heavy kayak. The carts were easy to remove and stash while we spent the day in the lake. When you finish kayaking, you simply load the kayak back on the cart and roll it back to G.O., drop off gear and you are done. We had a great experience with Glacier Outfitters and would use them again.
