I have a freezer that was bought from Sears with a warranty 6 years ago. This Eastside company was the company contracted to fix it. The motor died and I called Sears to have the freezer taken a look at. The guy came a few days later and tested the motor and determined that its dead. So he called Sears and told them the problem and they would ship out a new part, but the part would come to me instead of the mechanic. After about a week and a half the part came and we called Eastside. They said they be there in 2 days in a certain time frame, but when 6pm came, he called and said he wouldn't be able to make it out, so we had to wait thru another weekend without a freezer. Finally on a Monday, we were first on his list, but he had another person with him. My mother was present, but she didn't observe their work. They only took a little more than a half hour to "fix" the problem. Now the freezer wasn't getting cold as it should've been. Not even one week and the freezer stopped working. I immediately called Sears and told them the freezer broke down again. They sent another person to check it out and saw that the new motor was never installed!!! They essentially stole it and charged Sears! A wire was also cut and covered with black tape. I couldn't believe I was ripped off by these crooks who call themselves repairmen! In the future you should watch every repair person fixing or installing anything to make sure they're not doing something underhanded. Do not use Eastside Services!!! read more

purchased an extended warranty from bestbuy for fridge, eventually needed repair because the icemaker was'nt working.They sent eastside repair.When the service guy came, he was not remotely familiar with my fridge, which is a popular Samsung model. I even had to assist him in trying to take off the icemaker. i also had to provide 2 towels because he ran hot water thru the ice maker that went all over the floor. My dad asked him not to use the same towel that he wiped the floor with in the freezer. I guess he didnt hear him because he proceeded to wipe down the freezer with the same dirty towel that was used on the floor. The box would'nt come off so he had no clue what to do because he said he has never encountered a problem like this. He left and said he will get back to me.That never happened.I followed up numerous times over course of 4 wks and secretary would say they'll call me but I would always have to call myself b/c they'd NEVER return my calls. Oh, she even transferred me once to a service tech who said that he did call and no one answered (clearly an infantile bold face lie because there was no log in the caller id or message on the machine). final straw was when secretary told me they'd have an answer later that day about possibly replacing the frige door and someone would call. Funny thing, i even said to her, are they really going to call me because you always say that but I never get a call. she replied, oh yes they'll definitely call later in the day. Big surprise, nobody called.I had been EXTREMELY patient with these people. I have recordings of each time I called there as proof. When i called and asked to speak to manager, moron of a secretary wouldnt let me and hung up on me after saying she can't understand why I was angry. She even had the nerve to suggest that i leave a message for management to get back to me (as if that would ever happen)!! I spent 2hrs on the phone w/ bestbuy and kept getting the run around, but eventually I got transferred to a manager who stated that they should've repaired it w/in 2wks, which is the amount of time bestbuy allots them. The manager agreed that I had been more than patient with eastside, in spite of their ignoring me. Due to eastside's incompetence and unprofessionalism, the bestbuy manager of repairs gave me a new fridge. if eastside tries to deny any of this, I will post the links to the recorded conversations and messages I left as proof (lucky me, this is legal in ny as we are a one-party consent state) read more

Worst 'service' experience of all time. I had purchased a new Blomberg refrigerator from Home Depot. After a year, the compressor began knocking loudly and cooling became erratic, so I called Home Depot extended warranty dept. and was referred to Eastside Service. I was sent a 'repairman' who showed up nearly an hour later than the three-hour window initially given. He was physically out of shape and clearly did not want to be bothered with my appliance. I had to almost force him to take a look, which he did begrudgingly. He then chuckled and insisted there was nothing wrong with the appliance, that the 'little' knocking was not 'loud', and that I simply had not noticed the tractor-like noise my refrigerator was making before. (My husband is a professional sound engineer. We would have noticed.). He claimed that it was the defrost timer (not the compressor) and indicated that he could not replace it, because it was not broken. He stated "they would kill me for fixing something that ain't broke", despite the fact that the appliance was still under manufacturer's warranty for parts and service warranty for two more years. He then simply left. I called Eastside Service immediately to request a different technician, and they indicated that this technician would be making his report at the end of the day, after which I would be given a call. No call was forthcoming, however I did receive an email within the hour from Home Depot congratulating me on the successful repair of my appliance. I called Home Depot, who referred me to Eastside once more. I made another appointment for the next week, requesting a different technician and second opinion. I called the day before my appointment to confirm (as again, no call was forthcoming from Eastside), and was very rudely told that I needed to call Home Depot for another appointment. I indicated that I had done so, that this way my second appointment, and was interrupted mid-sentence to be told that I needed to find a different company to service my appliance. I did so, and not only did I have my compressor replaced within two days, I also discovered from their website that Eastside Service does not work on my appliance brand. Eastside Service should remove the name 'service' from their sign. Their technicians are incompetent, they blatantly lie on the telephone, are rude and, in the end, provided zero service. They are an embarrassment to the service profession. read more
