The letter sent to their offices after asking by phone, several times, to be removed as a patient.
-----------
I have sent email responses and my wife has spoken with you or your staff on multiple occasions by phone. Please do not schedule any more appointments, such as those made recently without my consent. Please remove me from your system as a patient.
I have had many dentists over the years and this has far and away been my worst experience. The work your team did on my teeth has only created more problems for me than I had in the first place, and as I learned from having another dentist review my files from your office, unnecessary altogether. In particular, a costly crown was urged by Dr. Sciabica for a tooth with an older filling, that could have simply been refilled. I agreed but clearly should have gotten a second opinion. Much of the prep work was done by a dental assistant who Dr. Sciabica later told me was a temporary employee. The temporary crown came off several times, both out of the office, and in the office after placement during the cleaning the area around the crown. Each time, additional and painful preparation of the stump was required before another crown could be placed. The tooth has been sore ever since the crown was placed 6+ months ago, and now requires a root canal. The tooth had no pain to begin with, never needed a crown in the first place, and now I need a root canal. This doesn't speak to the fillings that weren't required and were over-drilled.
The clear effort to drive volume through your practice, both in incessant calls and emails in scheduling and maintaining appointments, and the rapid fire approach to patients in the chairs, adds to the poor experience. The later is likely a factor in the errors made in the actual dental work. Flashy office or not, the focus should always be on customer care and respect, and a conservative approach to procedures, not driving volume and unnecessary work.
I felt it important to take time out of my busy morning so you, Dr. Sciabica, and your team understand exactly why I am no longer a patient.
