    Eastview Park in RPV everywhere

It's very unfortunate that I cannot recommend this park. Pet parents don't care about anything but themselves. There's poop everywhere nobody cares to pick up/ clean after their dogs. There are some aggressive & untrained dogs that will attack the smaller ones. The owners don't interact or watch their dogs; they sit on the benches focusing on their phones. The park itself is decent but it's the people that make this park unsafe. Avoid

Beautiful park, unfortunately many dog owners do not follow the rules and let there dogs off leash in the non-gated areas. For this reason, my children are unable to play and run in the grass areas intended for human use. There is a really nice playground and newer park benches. The dog park itself is very nice, I'm not sure why dog owners are not following the rules here. The city should do something about this. RPV - please do something.

We absolutely love this Park...usually. Took our golden retriever puppy to the dog park and about 6 huskies ganged up on him. Had my 3 and 4 year old girls with me, had to pull the dogs off mine and ended up with scratches all over me. So glad my girls and pup are ok. The owners literally sat there and did nothing. Very frustrating to say the least! No reflection on the park, but will make me think twice before taking my dog to this park in the future.

This is a terrific dog park. I usually go to the Redondo Beach dog park which is mostly dirt so my pup gets really dirty. I heard from several other pet parents to check this park out, and I'm so glad I did!! It has a lot of shade, big areas full of grass and they have restrooms. The parking lot isn't very big, but I managed to get a spot just fine on a Saturday around 10am. There was a pup's birthday party happing on the grass, it was so cute. I love the shade and benches under the trees, much more confortable than I'm used too. I would highly recommend this park, so glad I checked it out.

Our first time at Eastview Park was a success. All 3 of my dogs were very happy running around. We accidentally went to the small dog park side and I noticed there was a Big Dog side. The pups were happy in both sides of the park running around and interacting with other dogs. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful park with lovely owners and socialized dogs. Brought my pup who is a bit timid, I watch her closely to make sure she's not overwhelmed in the leash free enclosure, everyone was so nice and the greenery is a yes for the pooch.

Clean, spacious, nice people with generally nice dogs. Like the fact that it's grass. Feels like a little break for me too. Parking is free and usually available.

I haven't been here in so long with my pups so we decided to hang out at this park. Little did we know, a new dog park was built here!! It is so clean and beautiful! First dog park in the south bay area that has grass, that I know of. There are a lot of poop bags around the park and nice water fountains. There's a small and big dog area and both sides look equally clean and well maintained. There's a couple of benches around the park that is all placed under the shade which is perfect. The owners are very responsible and friendly. I came on a Friday afternoon and there were lots of playful/adorable/cute puppers here! I live closer to the Redondo beach dog park but this one is way better and we will only be coming here from now on. Hopefully this park stays clean and owners remain responsible. Great place.

After being worked on for several months, the Eastview Dog Park finally got its grand opening on 12/7/17. Situated within Eastview Park itself, I think the dog park is worthy of its own Yelp page. I was not able to make it to the grand opening but I just got back from the park today (a Saturday afternoon) and figured I would share my thoughts. Ample parking? Check. (The park has its own medium-sized parking lot but even if its full there is ample street-side parking.) Cleanliness? Check. (Of course, the park is still new but as of this writing the grass is well-groomed, and the fencing is new and sturdy.) Availability of doggy poop bag and water dispensers? Check. (At least one each near the entry point for both the small and large dog park entrances.) Friendly dog owners who respect the small vs. dog designations and pick up after their pooches ? Check. (Small sample size from my sole visit so far of course, so take this with a grain of salt.) Comfortable for owners? Check. (Ample benches spread out throughout both the small and large dog park sections, some under or near big trees. The small dog park in particular, has a large tree right in the center with benches for 100% shade throughout the day.) I'm by no means a dog park aficionado but due to how new and clean this dog park is, especially how close it is to where I live, it's a big 5-stars in my book!

I used to go to the dog park in Redondo Beach and a friend told me about this one and I loved it ever since.

However, I respect and truly admire that they added a cultural term to modern vocabulary: the Tardis Effect, which basically means that you enter a space and it is more spacious and complex than you can imagine based on what you believe it can hold based on exterior. Another example is Snoopy's Dog house. And as a final example, I offer a person's head. It does not seem like it holds a lot but it holds an ever expansive universe of thoughts, ideas and memories. This park can serve as another example of the Tardis Effect. It is a small park, like legit tiny, but when you look from its multiple view points you see the vastness of the pacific ocean and shore lines, which can induces so much within your head universe. Like one time I went and I imagined that a sea monster would rise from the waters far away. The sea monster was like Godzilla, except purple and its blast were white and froze people to death. Missiles could not quell its fury. I imagined that the solution would have to be mystical like when Perseus defeated the Kraken using Medusa's head. I repeat that the park is small by feet or metric cubes, or what ever unit of measure is used to measure a park's length, but when you enter you will see more than you expected, if you let yourself. I wonder what the opposite of the Tardis Effect is? What is something that is super big but when you step inside is actual small. Hopefully, a whale's belly cause I might end up there one day and wish to survive. If you are not one who embraces imaginative trips, this place offers something more grounded: beautiful views that are plainly gorgeous. When you allow yourself to sit and view, you want to take pictures, you want to have a date, you want to have a meaningful conversation, you want to meditate. It is a small gulp of fresh air that can be released into a big space. Logistically, parking is hard to come by. I am a local so I park on the street nearby and walk. I do not have a parking permit, I find street parking. The walk from the park to the car is not that long and depending on your fitness level it can be exhausting or a breeze. I went today to hike some of its neighboring trails. And the trails were closed. So expect this place to be a treat, if you are the type of person who can take the small of the earth and see the large of the earth.
