The septic inspection they performed was not adequate in the least. I am learning this now as we are selling and had a septic company come inspect. The septic system was rated functional, with anticipation of replacement in the future. My septic system had a thorough inspection today, the tank was dug out and actually looked at, the cover was not just removed. There was plywood overlying the Steel tank which was deteriorated to a point that it is not safe to even walk over. The home inspector from housemasters did not do a thorough inspection in the least, this is an issue that should have been discovered a year ago. I am a single mother who bought this house with FHA financing, I feel had the real condition had been disclosed I would not have been financially in this situation now. This is morally and ethically unjust. The report is worded in a way that would release them of liability, had it not I would have 100% sued over the financial hit I will be taking selling my home with a failing septic system.
