I had the owner give me an estimate for another bathroom remodel since he was already there. He said it would be approximately $600. So, now I finally have the new vanity in my possession and called them to schedule the job. The lady in the office (Heather) told me that they now refuse any jobs less than $1,000. They wouldn't honor the original quote by itself, even though the owner of the company provided it while standing in my home. Against my better judgment, I asked them to come out and provide an estimate for some other work I know I want to get done...just so I can get the bathroom done. They only provide quotes on Monday-Friday, so I had to schedule the appointment between 3-3:30 pm on Martin Luther King, Jr. day. 3:00 comes, 4:00 comes, 5:00 comes, NO JAMAL. Finally, at 5:08 pm, I called and spoke with Heather regarding the situation. She appeared very surprised that he hadn't shown up and advised me she would call me back. When she called back, she said she had gotten in touch with Jamal and his car had (conveniently) broken down. The owner of the company never bothered calling a customer who has a paying history with his company AND who they're now attempting to strong-arm into authorizing a job in excess of $1,000. So Heather asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I informed her that I work during the week. The only reason I was able to schedule them on Monday was because I was off for the MLK holiday and that scenario wouldn't reoccur until the end of May (Memorial Day). Heather said she understood and was surprised and appreciative that I wasn't yelling and/or cursing at her given the situation. She admitted that she probably wouldn't have the sane self-restraint. She said she would call Jamal to see if he would just do the bathroom for the ~$600 he quoted me given the fact that they caused me to waste half the day. As you can probably tell by this review, I have not heard from Heather nor anyone else at Plano Home Remodeling since that conversation. I very strongly encourage anyone to do business elsewhere. If a contractor does a no-call, no-show for an estimate, what do you think he's going to do on a job? I wouldn't recommend finding out!

Another fantastic project with the Wreedone team…read more This time, we hired them to replace the flooring throughout the majority of our house, tearing out older tile and hardwood that had suffered from previous water-cupping damage. I had manually measured close to 1,700 square feet, but Wil and Spencer utilized a mobile tech scanning tool to map both the floors and walls (for a future paint project) in a matter of minutes. It immediately validated my manual measurements and gave us complete confidence in the project's scope. We chose to vacate the house during the heavy demo and installation. Scheduling-wise, Wreedone was exceptionally punctual, hitting every milestone exactly when they said they would. They carefully moved and secured our heavy furniture, treated our property with immense respect, and ensured everything was locked up tight at the end of each workday. I had the chance to meet the tile installer, Daniel, and his crew. Daniel is a true craftsman--he noticed minor pattern differences in the tiles and expertly blended them so the installation looks perfectly seamless throughout the house. A true professional! Spencer also brought some great problem-solving to the baseboards. Because the new floors sat a bit lower, reusing the old baseboards would have left a noticeable paint gap along the walls. Factoring in the labor to patch and paint that gap, it was actually more cost-effective to install brand-new baseboards, which ended up looking even better than the originals. Given the massive amount of demolition dust, the top-to-bottom post-construction cleaning was incredible. Walls, floors, countertops, ceiling fan blades--everything was spotless! I am also incredibly grateful to Justin and Chase for the daily updates and progress photos, as well as their care in quickly moving the large furniture back into place post-cleanup. Wreedone's methodology isn't just about executing a single task; they deliver a complete, holistic package. Poor Quality of Work, Does NOT Stand Behind It:…read more Our home was built by Sardone Construction in 2015. In 2023 all of our wood siding completely rotted and we began having multiple leaks inside our home. Every siding company we called to fix it said the same thing: this should never happen to a house this young; the materials (type of boards and paint) used were wrong, the wood was not primed, the seams were aligned incorrectly and thus it was a completely avoidable problem caused by shoddy workmanship. It cost us $30,000 to remedy the issue by replacing ALL of the siding. We reached out to Sardone Construction who completely ignored us and refused to make things right or stand behind their work. Would strongly advise against hiring them unless you want things to fall apart much sooner than they should and be stuck paying for the repairs yourself.

Because I live out of state, it was even more challenging to find contractors to replace my flooring and repair the walls that were ruined by the water. I reached out on Yelp and Rafael responded quickly and called me to discuss the issues. He was able to get me an estimate in a couple of days and, when we agreed on the scope, was able to get started quickly. Although I haven't seen the work in person, my tenant said that all looks good. When I see for myself in a couple weeks, I have no doubt that my expectations will be exceeded. The best part is that I was told that the work would be done within 7-10 days and it was completed exactly when promised! I have never had a contractor actually complete when promised so I was pleasantly surprised indeed!
