Really quick service, customers are always flowing in, parking can be crowded. The technician recommended I go to a DMV kiosk to renew my registration. Please note it will take 3 to 5 hours for the smog results to post to the DMV records - as explained to me by a DMV agent. Unfortunately, I went prior to the 3 to 5 hours processing period, whereby, the DMV kiosk had asked for a 'renewal fee deposit' to have the registration card and sticker mailed once the smog results have been acknowledged. read more

Stat Away!!! This place is a scam! My normal smog guy was not open and sent me here. I had a coupon for $10 off plus recheck. He tested my truck and all the readings passed but he can back and said his "visual dashboard gauge" test failed. He had a mechanic standing next to him and told me it failed but this mechanic could fix it. I said no and drove it back to my mechanic who hooked it up to the computer and said everything was fine. He also told me that it is illegal for a Star smog station to recommend a mechanic. I took it back and he said it was fine and passed. Nothing changed! He would not give me my car until I paid another $20 for the recheck even though my coupon said free rechecks! Stay away! This guy is a crook! read more

The person who did my smog accidentally locked my keys in my car when moving it into the parking spot. When I informed him of what happened, he tried to Jimmy the door but couldn't do it. He had another customer and just gave up and it was basically my problem after that. I reached out to the manager and he was nice enough to refund me the money I had spent on the smog.
