I was looking for a great deal to get my 2012 vehicle smog checked and ended up coming back to Beach Smog Check. They offer a $20 discount for 2000+ vehicles. Just mention you saw the coupon on Yelp or online. No appointment is needed, which made it even more convenient. I stopped by on a weekday around 9:00 AM, and there was no line. I was greeted right away by Angel, who made the entire process easy. He gave clear instructions from start to finish and kept everything moving smoothly. There are two waiting areas: an indoor lounge with a couch and a small beverage station and a covered outdoor seating area. I was excited to see one of my favorite sodas, Mountain Dew Baja Blast, in the fridge! They also have a Keurig for coffee, which would be nice in the morning, although the coffee station looked a little dusty, so I decided to skip it. They definitely lived up to their promise. I was in and out in about 15 minutes, my MDX passed, and Angel explained that my smog certificate would be electronically sent to Sacramento within about 30 minutes. Woo hoo! As a nice bonus, if you pass, they give you a free car wash card at H2Go, which was a pleasant surprise. The shop can service two cars at a time, and everything was clean, organized, and efficient. Great customer service, great value, and a hassle-free experience. I'll definitely be back the next time my smog check is due. See you next year! read more

Fake coupons!!! Had to leave when I heard the real cost of their SMOG. The shop was completely empty however the guy there insisted their price is $65 after $20 coupon/ discount. He even literally said they also accept tips, stating "it is lunch time so we accept tips as well". They didn't bother seeing me leave, as I guess they just work their not the owners. The area is full of better SMOG shops that only do it for $40-50 without claiming fake coupons. Really disappointing!!! read more

Carly walked me through the entire process and I was in and out within 15 minutes. She was super friendly and very detailed with the entire process. Angel and Chin were the technicians and were super friendly, competent, and quick! I barely had time to drink a water before it was time to go. And, a cool perk getting your smog certificate there is they give you a free local car wash. Also, your certification goes straight to the DMV but they give you a copy of all the reports just in case you need it. So easy, so quick, very professional. Highly recommend this place. Alexander responded to my request on yelp and informed me that they're open all 7 days from 8am 6pm. So convenient. I got there about 2:55pm and my smog was done within 12 min. I only paid $65 and got a certificate for a free car wash up the street - valid for a month. I had an outstanding experience here. This a drive thru smog station with awesome customer service. They were prepared, knowledgeable, and friendly. They contacted me immediately and set a the appt and then provided instructions on how to get there and what to do when i arrived. They guided me to where to the car would be inspected then offered me water, coffee or a carbonated beverage and a place to sit while they performed the service. We did the paperwork and what seemed to be around a half hour they finished the testing and I was on way. easy-peasy. Two ethical, extremely nice area brothers(Anthony & Alex) a few yrs over took over this long established Smog Cert(and much more in terms of services since they purchased it from the prior owner). I'm a journalist, did my homework & saw Beach Smog is tied for #1 locally here in HBeach. My Hybrid (weird once they hit ~10 yrs old that they need to be smogged)was smogged by highly-trained equally great folks(some of whom came over from Just Smogs which was great to know. I did my research here and Beach Smog(16861 Beach off Warner before Bella Terra shopping center & across from/same side of the street as Olive Garden. My wife's car was smogged in 15 minutes, they have a comfortable waiting room with comp snacks, water, sodas & it was my best, quickest smogging. They're jazzing up the existing Surf City murals with surfboards & more; but most importantly; they deliver efficient products at a great price(go to their website + have ready their online, Net coupon.
