Today was our second visit to Easy Street Cafe, and once again, it did not disappoint. First, the restaurant itself has a ton of character and provides a cozy, welcoming feel. The staff, too, is quite friendly, and the service is always quick. But the star of the experience, of course, is the food. I ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant sandwich with a side of potato salad. The Croissant was lightly toasted, which I loved. The chicken salad was flavorful and savory and not overly loaded with mayonnaise. The potato salad was a nice mustard potato salad, and the serving size was quite big. My husband and son each ordered an elk burger, which was huge and juicy. Finally, my son's girlfriend ordered the Chicken Kabobs, which again was quite a generous serving, and she enjoyed every bite. We shared a delectable piece of chocolate cake for dessert, which was quite rich and oh so yummy. The next time you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend you stop in for a bite. Well... the moment you enter this place, through tiny wooden double doors with stained glass inserts, you begin to suspect you are in for a treat....and it would be true. Stopped here for lunch and it was pretty darn good. Pesto chicken sandwich was good, tater tots very good, quarter pound hot dog was very good, all beef and big. Santiago chicken sandwich was excellent. For all three, the buns were perfectly toasted and soft on the inside which I think is perfect for these types of sandwiches. My wife liked the potato salad but had to add salt (which means it needed salt as she doesn't need salt often). The fries were not my style, kinda like 5 guys, really brown and floppy. Our food came out pretty fast and the service was solid. Good choice for a sit down lunch, the menu is extensive which is usually a red flag for me but all good and I'd try other stuff next time and my wife would get the Santiago chicken sandwich again. Usually great food, good service. Experience was poor to say the least. It took forever for our food, people were seated and leaving before we got our food. Appetizer was delivered with meal. When they delivered my daughter's salad she requested no bacon and there was a ton on it, and the person that delivered the salad wanted to argue about it and was so rude, she said she would let our server know. Was craving a good burger today and got it at Easy Street. I am usually dining solo and like to eat on a stool at the bar, even though i am not a drinker. I ordered the burger with grilled mushroom, Swiss cheese, tomatoes and lettuce and their hand cut fries. The bartenders were friendly and courteous and took my order, which arrived within 15 minutes. Had lunch here today with my daughter after a college visit to BGSU. Stopped based on the recommendation of our tour guide. Thought lunch was good but not great. My daughter liked her Philly Cheese more than I liked my Easy Street burger. French fries could have been cooked another couple of minutes. Service was good. Stopped in for dinner to this nice older pub style restaurant. This restaurant has been around for many years. Came here as a young adult many moons ago. Wife ordered the eggplant sandwich with fresh fruit. I ordered the Cajun chicken wrap with Cajun tater tots. We both really enjoyed our meals. Her sandwich had a very thick piece of eggplant that she absolutely loved. My Cajun chicken wrap had the right amount of Cajun seasoning and it was tasty and filling. Last time I visited Easy Street, I was turned off by the bad service and wait times I had recieved. This time around ee came around 7-8pm, and almost had the entire restaurant to ourselves. I bring this up because this visit was completely different. Not only did our food arrive quite fast, but it tasted much better, and the service was very attentive and friendly. Granted, having around three tables to serve would give much more personal time for each party, but it did make for a better experience this time around. But even when busy, a professional restaurant should be able to handle their limit. Anyway, I really loved the catfish dinner plate I ordered. It might be my favourite fish meal in town. So crispy in the outside, with a very hot inside, and a clear taste. Now when I say hot inside, I was truly impressed with how much heat retention the fried batter maintained. It was hot to each bite, toll the very end. I also tried the special of the day, which was a less tasty but still good lake perch. The fries did leave much to be desired, but that may just be because of their thinner type of fries. I wouldn't go to Easy Street for their steak options, but I am certainly keeping them in mind when I'm frcraving some fish. Oh, and I must mention that I really liked their rice pilaf. For apps, we got some French Onion Soup, onion rings, and a bacon wrapped chicken gouda bites plate. I liked all three, but I'd probably only order the bacon chicken again. I'm not a big fan of onion rings, but if you happen to be, Easy Street has an enormous size portion. The only other big size onion rings I've seen are from Outback. I tried the soup, because I never had French Onion, and while it was tasty with the melted cheese, I don't think I'm too keen on the soup overall. I'm more of a minestrone, chicken noodle, lentil, and pho type of guy. All in all, I had a great time, and would very much like returning to try some of the other plates that caught my eye. I'll just be weary and acknowledge not to go when it's too busy at rush hour. read more

This is the first time I've ever went to Easystreet Cafe in Bowling Green we met my brother and sister-in-law and my wife and I had lunch there we had the Friday special which is fish and chips, which was just spectacular as an appetizer we had onion rings. We were on our way home and decided to have our last onion ring box food food was great the driver short parking was easy service was really good I highly recommend it as my wife said let's go back down to Bowling Green and more rings onion rings. read more

Might be the best French onion soup I've ever had. The only one that comes close was a place that had a large dumpling under the melted cheese. This one had croutons. Top notch for sure! Highly worth the trip. Glad the guy in the reviews I read said his only regret was not getting a bowl over the cup. I took his advice and was not disappointed. I won't fail to mention the Chicken Pesto sandwich. It's no slouch and would state it's a great sandwich and worth stopping in to try. But if you don't try the French onion soup you are doing yourself an injustice. If I was allergic to onion I would eat so I would die a happy man. JK, but it is that good! read more
