I was returning home from a road trip when I decided to stop in Bowling Green, Ohio to stretch my legs and grab a quick bite. I found The Clay Pot near where I parked my car and Google said the restaurant served Eastern European inspired food. Naturally this peaked my curiosity since it's not often I eat at such establishments, so I gave it a go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as I walked in I felt very relaxed, because the restaurant was dimly lit and very quiet from having no customers at the moment I stepped foot inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eventually more people arrived, but it really felt like a fine dining experience during my stay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu was very simple and everything on the board looked delicious. My waitress mentioned the seafood risotto (which was the chef's special) which I decided to go with it. My meal started off with a very simple salad that took maybe 4 bites to finish and had a sparse drizzle of oil and vinegar. I'm not looking to get filled up on an appetizer of course, but it felt like an afterthought. I was however satisfied with this blackcurrant soda that I washed down my meal with because I requested some kind of unique beverage. The star this evening was indeed the seafood risotto. I try not to exaggerate my words after eating something satisfying and I had a few weeks to stew over this review, but this dish is THE BEST RISOTTO I'VE EVER HAD. Between the shrimp, the langostino and vegetables everything was fresh, flavorful and came together in perfect harmony. I'm not one to finish a pasta dish in one sitting, but I could not resist cleaning out my plate. Whatever minor shortcomings I may have had with this entire visit was more than made up for by the risotto alone. You need to eat here, it's worth every penny.

Service staff and kitchen staff are impeccable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was so friendly and homely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The dessert special tonight was (homemade of course) blueberry cheesecake and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD Texture 10/10 and flavor 10/10. Moscow mule, 8oz steak, and Sea Bass were to die for, and I don't even like sea food

Chocolate cheesecake--terrible texture, and flavor was lackluster

I had such high hopes for this little bistro, but this was the most disappointing meal we had in Bowling Green. The chicken piccata was great, but everything else was lackluster: side salad was boring, lamb burger was dry, and I'm not sure what was wrong with the chocolate cheesecake but the texture was all wrong and the taste was not pleasant either. Maybe we came on an off night?

Just finished dinner with the chef and it was absolutely fabulous!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told them it was for my mother's birthday and they had the table set so nicely with flowers, candles and table cloth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tget even let Mom keep the flowers which was so thoughtful. Our waiter Ben was so attentive and gave knowledgeable wine pair information with each course. He kept the dishes cleared and water filled. Chef Gabriel is definitely a people person. He shined in his element!! Each course was specially prepared for us and it was just perfect!! He presented each course and explained what everything was and how it was prepared. You can really tell how much he loves cooking. He was very passionate and talked about how much he loves cooking for people. The owner/sous chef made our dessert and it was so rich and delicious we ate it all even though we were all full but it was that good. if you're looking for something special: Anniversary, birthday or even impress a first date I definitely recommend you try dinner with the chef!

Order the grilled Feta!! Wow. If you want fresh and clean eating this is your spot. The staff is incredible and the food and portion sizes leave you feel satisfied and feeling great! They have a large front table that faces Main Street - very fun for a group. Out back are some tables for dining when it's warm out.

Gluten free options, organic wines.. No microwaves. All clean, organic, grass fed, amazing atmosphere..

Tuscan Salad with Beef Tenderloin (lot of food)

Amazing European food! Fancy and unique. Must go to date night. Owner is literally from Greece.

Venison ribs, chicken piccata, grilled feta, house sangria.

This place is great! All of our food was delicious. We started with a house sangria, the grilled feta, and the olive plate. The olives were in a tasty oil, the feta was served with nice warm bread and perfectly seasoned. When the main course came out, a nice Whistle Pig Rye was also ordered. The chicken piccata was a very generous portion, packed with flavor and cooked right! The special was venison ribs, and it did not disappoint. They were a great medium rare, served over a root vegetable mash with asparagus on top, adorned by a delightful citrus glaze. The herbs were noticeable on your palate, but did not overpower the dish. We will be going back, as this just became a favorite of ours!

We ordered a white flight and a red flight (very reasonable only $10 each!) The flights arrived and we began our tasting. Of the white flight we both agreed the Verbena was our fave. The Diablo Rojo was our pick for the reds. We decided to order a couple of appetizers and a flatbread to share for dinner. The chicken bacon ranch flatbread was okay, nothing to celebrate here. Could have used a drizzle to perk up the flavor and eliminate some of the dryness. Next up loaded tots. They were really good, with two ingredients stealing the show. The pulled pork that topped them from Miller's meats was phenomenal, full of flavor. The next star of the show was the chipotle ranch drizzle; it combined with the BBQ sauce and bacon bits was a flavor explosion! Finally my favorite was the Bacon and Bleu Cheese Munchies. Kettle chips topped with bacon, provolone, bleu cheese, balsamic glaze and scallions! The bold flavor from the bleu cheese combined with the balsamic glaze was bold and delicious! Finally the ambiance was so peaceful. Despite the patio being full, the light breeze and chorus of cicadas, with their choreographed ebb and flow, made the night truly magical! I highly recommend for a peaceful retreat.

I can't wait to sit on their beautiful couch by the fire with a tasty beverage, later this year. Bonus, the genuinely nice owners who took time to introduce themselves & share their background. We liked the staff who knew their wine selections, were kind and didn't rush our girls evening out. It was a charming Italian spot with a cozy dining room and a welcoming patio. The menu looked great, so even though it was already late and only about a half hour before closing, I chose to dine there. I was a little worried I might feel rushed because of the time, but that did not happen. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and the manager as soon as I walked in, which immediately made me feel welcome. Since it was a bit cool outside, I chose to sit in the dining room. I was seated in Sydney's section, which turned out to be perfect because she was an excellent server. Even though she had already started the closing tasks in the dining room, she still provided outstanding service. She was attentive, polite, professional and efficient. She took my order right away and kept the soda refills coming without me ever having to ask. Sydney's service really made the difference and it complemented my delicious meal. In an era where many restaurants feel inattentive or simply not invested in the guest experience, Basil Pizza and Wine delivered a memorable evening. It ended up being an unexpectedly great dinner and it will be my go to restaurant the next time I am staying in Perrysburg. Sydney and the restaurant were fantastic.

The bread is very soft and fluffy and tastes great, but they pile that sweet cheese thick on top of it and it's just not my cup of tea. My friends ordered pizza and they loved what they ordered. I ordered the Caesar salad and added chicken. The Caesar dressing is chefs kiss. I absolutely loved it and wish I could've taken a bottle of it home with me. The chicken was cooked well, but definitely needs more seasoning. It took a bit to get our checks, but overall it was a great experience.

It's got all the essentials: cold beer (only slightly overpriced), bartenders who are usually nice enough, and a smell that can only be described as shame with a hint of stale beer. The bathrooms? Perfectly disgusting, just as they should be in a place like this. The walls are covered in layers of graffiti and stickers, some of it actually pretty interesting if you take the time to look. Live bands crank out music that ranges from surprisingly solid to who let them on stage? But that's part of the charm. This is the kind of bar where you go to lose track of time, drink with strangers who might become friends, and soak in the glorious decay of a true dive. It's not for everyone, but if you appreciate a bar with character, history, and just the right amount of grime, Howard's Club H is a must.
