    Enjoying breakfast on Sunday morning

Fantastic experience at this restaurant. Employees are very friendly and professional. We have a service dog and they treated him like royalty. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend this locally owned restaurant!!!

It's called American Table. It serves traditional American food. Not (NEW) American. This is old people American food, and it's A-OK in my book. Soup was good and my fried seafood platter was not bad. I ordered it because, as I entered, I noticed several signs promoting their "all you can eat" friday fish fry. I figure if they are that confident with their seafood prep, it was worth a try. But heck, you can't really go wrong with deep fried seafood. The green beans were pretty boring but who am I kidding. I wasn't planning on eating them anyways. I only went because my Grandma is really into this place. Honestly, I'll probably never come back unless she wants to go again. And while I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend American Table, I have to say I had a completely pleasant experience.

American Table is a diner style eatery with kind service and large quantity plates. Hearty old school meals. I went in with no expectations and came out satisfied and very filled. There are plenty of tables to sit in, televisions (which were playing The Walking Dead), and a wide variety of dishes to chose from. From my best guess and the interesting choices of some menu options, the owners or at least part of, are Greek/Italian? Amongst the expected chicken strips,  fish & chips, burger, there are also kabobs and gyros amongst many Italian dishes. I ordered the chicken kabob with fries and rosemary chicken soup. While I was not fully satisfied with the kebab alone (being a single stick with maybe 5-6 chicken pieces), I dabbled in my fellow comrades' dishes as well.  The food certainly tastes good, not as if it had been frozen for days. It's not fancy cuisine, and some plates might come messy, but it has a homemade vibe and taste to it. It is as titled, traditional American meals. Old school, and hearty. I can say that it is filling though. Some of the other dishes I tried were the Lasagna and meatloaf. I was not too keen on the Lasagna, being a bit bland with no extra special taste. Meatloaf was a large portion and heavy on the gravy.  All in all I thought it was better than I had expected, but only for more of a homemade simple dish variety. I'm not comparing the two, but it seems like a more homey Bob Evans. It is very affordable too, which makes it even nice enticing.  One small complaint arises from the service being a bit slow. Perhaps it was from being a busy hour? We went around 13:00. There is also a All you can eat fish & chips on Fridays. I have not explored that yet but would very much like to. - Le Big LeBoschski

Very quick and friendly service. Very busy on weekend mornings, but because the service is fast, not a long wait. Omelets are great.

All of the food was amazing, but hands down the table favorite was honestly the whipped feta. It's what dreams are made of! It had a slightly spicy oil topper, and delicious crostini! The only note I would give, is that the bacon appetizer really needs to come with a steak knife for sharing. It was a little too hard to cut with just the butter knife. Steaks and sides are all prepared perfectly, the button mushrooms were a hit as well. I would completely recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will return again if I'm back in the area.

We arrived 45 minutes before closing, and the host asked if we'd like to sit in the bar where they offer the full menu. Saying yes was fine until the last 15 minutes. A better choice would have been to sit in the dining room. We started off with drinks, V ordered a Mai Tai, and I had a Tequila something or other. The drinks tasted good, if I were a betting person, I'd say that they touched the ice with alcohol, and that's about it. I don't drink very often, so I always know if a drink contains a meaningful amount of alcohol. They brought out a warmed puff bread. It was unique for sure, and tasted good too. Our appatiser was Lobster Tail served on a bed of vinegar-based coleslaw with miso or something similar. The flavors worked together fabulously. V's entree was a beef stir fry. He said it was ok, but nothing special. He also ordered the Smoked Gouda & Rosemary Mac & Cheese with bacon. That side dish was very tasty, but overpowered my entree, though it paired well with his beef. I had the Miso Halibut, which came over with Sweet Chili Bok Choy and Jasmine Rice. This entree had perfectly paired flavors; I'd certainly like to have it again. Our waitress was friendly and attentive; we couldn't ask for better service. Sitting in the bar wasn't a good idea as in the last 15 minutes a loud-mouthed womanizing man started sharing his conquests with six other people.

We then decided to make the drive to Levi's Commons hoping to take in some incredible ice sculptures. Most of the sculptures we saw at both locations were business logos... a bit of a disappointment. We decided to take a chance on trying Perrysburger's in downtown Perrysburg beacuse it was later in the afternoon. I had been there a few times several years ago not long after this eatery opened their doors. We were immediately seated and while we were looking over the menus, all the other tables were subsequently filled and a line began to develop. We timed our visit perfectly! We ordered Fungus Amongus and Let's Brie Friends burgers along with the unending fries. Small restaurant with only a handful of tables, one server, and the grill chef - that's it. Burgers were well seasoned and good tasting. In my opinion, these burgers were on the medium-well side of the spectrum, so a bit over done for me. The fries = yum! Reminded me of a shoestring type version of Berardi's in Sandusky Ohio. These fries were nicely seasoned and done to what I would call, perfection! Even with every tabled filled and a line of hungry patrons, the food did not take an inordinate amount time to be served. Impulse purchase homemade cookies were located at the register. We obliged and purchases one of each flavor - choc chunk and oatmeal with butterscotch and walnuts. Overall, price was moderate as to be expected for a downtown P-burg location to cover costs for this husband and wife owned/operated business.

The place really is super small, so I'm curious about dining in during a rush, but fortunately we came on a Thursday evening around 7, where the dinner rush was just beginning to taper off. Anyway, the place had good toons, clean and friendly atmosphere and good service. If you are in the area, you NEED to eat here. I had the Jiffy - a burger with peanut butter?! But yeah, it slaps! Also had the rosemary truffle fries with parmesan. Those were tasty too. I think what makes the burgers in all their iterations consistently good is the quality of ingredients, especially the beef. I'll be back for sure.
