We had a like for like swap making any sheet metal reworking unneccesary. With all 5 estimates, Fuse Service HVAC came in the lowest. Considerably lower! But we asked a lot of questions to make sure they would do everything you must do to do a proper installation and they checked ALL our boxes. They were VERY knowledgable to share different options....thanks Dmitri! They showed up a few days later on the scheduled date. There were only 2 installers there except Dmitri came a couple of time but didn't need to do much at all. ALL their installers have 10+ years installing. I checked to see the progress through the day and they never stopped except for lunch knowing exactly what they needed to do! Impressive! They were working in the garage, in the back w/ a new A/C condensor and in the hallway to install a new Ecobee thermostat. We paid for an upgraded one that has a separate sensor which we put in our bedroom for the thermostat to only take that reading to make our sleep more comfortable, a great tech for sure! So Dmitri from the start came across as caring to meet all our needs, a good guy the kind I can relate to. Very personable and yet professional! All people from Dmitri the owner to his crew were friendly and answered my many questions every time as I am a detail guy LOL. There was NOT ANYTHING that I could see that didn't look anything less than a TOP NOTCH INSTALLATION. To get a price even thousands below what most others quoted and getting a high tech Rheem furnace and A/C is delightful knowing that our exceptionally old furnace won't be quitting in the middle of a big cold snap. Lately I have had a real nightmare with customer service. It seems like every time I reach out to a…read morenew company, or even one I have been dealing with for years, they manage to turn a simple exchange into a nightmare. And then my ice maker stops producing ice...ugh... Ok, I will deal with you later... A few days later I went into the freezer for an ice cream sandwich which is a liquid versus a solid... *sigh*. I bought the fridge brand new 16 years ago and have never had an issue so I was afraid it was one of those situations where the thing just dies. And genuinely I've never had to deal with appliance repair but I do know I always fear that you just do not know who you are inviting into your house or what kind of service you are going to get until you are there. A close friend has a huge list of recommendations she gets from family and friends. She gave me 1st Appliance Repair saying she WAS going to use his services but ending up cancelling and not needing his help but that he came highly recommended from another friend. Hmmmm... I called and he was genuinely way nicer than most businesses. I am a very straight forward person and it is hard to impress me and instill confidence with a phone conversation yet he did. He was friendly but not overly so - direct, asking questions and very clearly knowing a lot but not needing to say it. He gave me his rates, making them very clear and setting up an appointment so he could give me a heads up of at least a half hour so I could head home from the office. He called to give me 45 minutes and was super on the dot punctual! He was so warm, friendly and, again, CLEARLY very knowledgeable but not in that condescending or braggart way. As in, after a few minutes I genuinely way educated about my fridge and feel so great that I do have the fridge I do. We really researched before buying it and because of that this was an easy fix! With parts and labor it was just over $200 and he was a task master! I cannot stress enough how amazing this experience was...like, no one WANTS to have an appliance issue. I definitely have to say that having someone to call that I trust is a major relief.

He responded proving that he understood the problem. On the appointment date he arrived and in just under 5 minutes he determined it was the linear compressor and he would not work on it. This was decided by looking at the make and model As this model has a known history of linear compressor fail. ( which he already knew from our original call. ) Instead of calling and reporting to us that he would not work on it, he made the service call charging us $95.00 to do nothing to help. After asking around I found out this is not the first time of this company of diagnosing but not fixing getting a hefty service fee to boot. So make sure you know what you're getting into when hiring this company.

I purchased a new Samsung LCD TV that had a manufacturing defect - a part internal to the TV,…read morerequired for installing a customer-provided wall mount bracket, was not installed during LCD panel manufacturing. After a poor experience with another Samsung authorized service provider (there are two in the Portland, Oregon area), I escalated the repair issue to the Samsung Americas CEO office, and Tekniton was assigned to do the repair. From the start, this company was very good (not perfect) at communication. When I told the scheduler that the issue wasn't listed as one of the failure modes on Samsung's website, she indicated that Tekniton would need to send out a technician to confirm the part that needed to be replaced. Technicians called before they came out. One minor communication incident occurred when Tekniton sent an SMS message to my home phone, which can't display SMS messages. Since I'd escalated the repair with Samsung, I received two E-mails from Samsung that the panel was available and that Tekniton was trying to schedule the repair, so I called Tekniton to get the repair scheduled. The repair required two different visits from two different technicians. The first confirmed that the LCD panel needed to be replaced, and informed me that the part was on backorder through Samsung service parts. Three weeks later, when the panel became available to do the repair, a second technician was scheduled. I've dealt with several different appliance repair providers over the past 18 years, and Tekniton is definitely one of the better companies I've worked with.
