I tried this meal prep company for the first time and was extremely disappointed. My food was delivered late on a Monday at 10:20 PM. The delivery guy called saying he was outside my building complex and just handed it to me as I was coming out the elevator without confirming who I was. Worried me that they could just deliver it to anyone in the building. I didn't inspect the food until the morning after because I had stayed up waiting for the meal delivery. I paid about $140 including delivery. I ordered 10 meals and chose the plant based meal plan because they have a set menu and I'm lactose intolerant. Sample meal descriptions were included in their website (picture attached). They are very misleading. It didn't mention anything about salads. I was given 5 "salads" and 5 entrees. The salads are very basic and look like a side salad given at a fast food restaurant. Not filling at all. Half of the meals contained shredded cheese. I could have made these myself for a fraction of the price. None of the nutrition information is listed on the meals nor website. Almost every label with the meal description was inaccurate and missing a lot of the items especially on the salads. Example of the garden salad without the bell peppers or flax seed. Never using this company again! Stay away and save your money!! They are looking to make a quick buck!! read more

I love eat clean! I can't believe all the time I used to waste meal prepping organic, non-gmo meals for about the same cost. The variety is unbeatable and even the whole grain rice has flavor! This is eating healthy but somehow even more delicious than non healthy dinners out. I'm a triathlete so I need really good nutrition. When I got my first delivery 4 months ago I was worried the portions wouldn't be enough, but I actually don't even finish many of the meals. The chef knows how to make filling yet healthy portions that make you look forward to eating the next healthy meal. I never understood the phrase 'abs are made in the kitchen' to mean anything more than eating tasteless food and just being hungry all the time till I started with eat clean. Update: They have been very kind regarding the below issues, and will work to resolve and improve, they have refunded me for my order, which I am grateful for. Original: I was really excited to try Eat Clean Meal Prep. They were nice enough to be able to fit me into their schedule fairly quickly, which I appreciated. To be honest, I wasn't going to leave a bad review or even ask for a refund, but the dirt/bug excrement on the lettuce forced me to do so. You can get very sick from dirty lettuce. THE BAD: (How's this list so long, I've only ordered once...) 1) Their "examples" of lunch & dinner are very misleading in my opinion. They list ONE salad. However, they gave me FIVE salads. Who wants a salad every single day for five days in a row for lunch? 2) The meals aren't really meals in my opinion. They appear to be three random ingredients they threw together. Ie one meal is red beans, brown rice and some store bought cole slaw. That's it. The meals, in general, do not taste good. I can saute up some veggies in coconut oil with some flavor god spices in 10 minutes and it is much more pleasing to eat. When you're spending this amount on a meal, you want a recipe that's planned out, that goes together. 3) The lettuce in one of the salads has dirt all over it. See the image I uploaded. Clearly, it was never even rinsed. How concerning is that!? I order meal prep because I am a very busy business owner, I cannot afford downtime due to uncleaned lettuce! 4) They provided 5 snacks, 3 of which were 2 bananas and 1 apple. I could easily buy that myself at 7/11. Their snack examples on their website don't ONCE mention a purchased piece of fruit that's not even diced up or prepared. Needless to say, I am requesting a refund and getting rid of this food. I question the cleanliness of their kitchen after finding dirt/poop and whatever else on my lettuce. Good food CAN taste good. I have tried many meal prep companies and for the price this one was definitely the best. Under $100 for a weeks worth of food is great! I am on my second week now and I plan to continue on the weekly plan. The salads and snack and perfect to take to the office and the salad is rather large size in my opinion. The hot meals are on the small size but for the price I think they are worth it and also for someone trying to keep slim while sitting in front of a computer all day. I supplement with a small salad for dinner and its all great. I love that I do not have to pick the menu and its just done for me. The first delivery I was not home and they called me and instead brought the food to where I was. Its not delivered in an insulated bag so I am purchasing a big cooler to leave in front of my door and they can place the food their in case I am not home. read more

I'm a person that never leave reviews but will today. I would give zero stars If I could. This place is horrible. The first week I received carbs, starches instead of veggies and protein (wish I had a photo). After speaking with them they said the would accommodate me and provide me protein and veggies. My following week ( four meals) came with broccoli 3 day in a row and double broccoli on the fourth day. I ask for a partial refund and they did not provide it. I paid $176 plus taxes etc. per week on a family plan and we disliked the food. I wanted to give them a second chance after speaking with Laura, Operations Manager. We immediately cancelled and started up with another food service for the same price that allow us to select our dishes. We're stuck with containers of steamed broccoli, container of carrots and peas (more starch), and Cole slaw (lots of calories). I plan to bring to work for my co-workers. read more

I'm only one lunch, one snack and one dinner into my weekly meal plan and if day 1 is any indication...I'll be hooked. The lunch salad was a huge portion and really delicious. The veggies had fresh snap and there was a generous portion of chicken. The turkey meatball jambalaya I just had was great....just enough spice and the right size so it's not too heavy. I could take or leave the snack (they're pretty tiny) but I imagine it doesn't really impact the price much so why not throw it in. I'm impressed and hope the rest of the week impresses me this much. Side note: delivery was perfect. The gentleman who delivered was kind enough to call me so I could meet him outside so as to not wake up our baby. ULTIMATE LIFE HACK FOR HEALTHY EATING! The meals are all super healthy, organic, and absolutely delicious. For $97 per week, you get 5 dinners, 5 lunches, and 5 snacks. I also just signed up for 5 cold pressed juices that come to an additional $22 per week. Overall after the first week, I was blown away at how healthy and delicious the food was and I'm now a total raving fan of this service. (So much so that I decided to share this post on my personal Facebook just to spread the love) Although the price might seem steep to some people, it's actually saving me money from all the eating out I've been doing lately since I haven't really had much time to cook. It's also saving me tons of time, since it's all already pre-cooked. The salads are ready to go immediately, and the dinners take about 2-3 minutes to heat up on the stove. But I think the main selling point is the health benefits. I love eating healthy but I personally find it really difficult to find healthy food thats fast and convenient to prepare day to day. Ordered the food for my hubby as a surprise. We live in different states and he has no time to cook or shop running our company. The food was good quality he said, but the portions are extremely small. He works out daily, is a big, muscular man, needs more protein for each meal. Even if we paid the extra $15 for protein and greens I don't think it would satisfy him. If they could find a way to accommodate to fitness people, especially men not trying to lose weight, but stay lean, I think that would be great and benefit them as much as their customers. I would rather use their service then see my hubby eat out so much. Also, add an option of breakfast to their work week menu would be a great idea!! We decided to try again another week for my hubby. So, I just started their Work Week Meal Plan and so far it's been great. The customer service has been on point. For me, the convenience of this is worth the money (and I'm spending less than I normally do being that I go out to lunch frequently) The hardest part with clean eating for me is the prep and the fact in can get so repetitive and boring. Eat Clean San Diego takes the pain out of having to grocery shop and meal prep, I don't have to think about anything, I just pull my meal out of the fridge. The dinners vary nightly, so you can look forward to something new. The amount of food is perfect for me, some times a little much. I usually do all this meal prep for my family on my own which is exhausting and stressful week over week. I focus on clean eating, organic, local, non-GMO and fresh foods. This week has been so amazing with these meals ready to go. The delivery was smooth and on time. We got the bag Sunday evening at about 6pm. The reason I gave a 4 is because I'd love if the packages were labeled. I don't know what I'm eating since they aren't labeled. The food is delish but would like to know what I'm eating. Since where my food comes from is very important to me - I'd like to know if it's organic, non-GMO etc as well. I stayed with my sister for two weeks in Escondido and instead of trying to cook during my visit, she ordered Eat Clean for us. I work out everyday and need a lot of protein. Every meal that I received was packed full of veggies, rice, quinoa, and meat. I liked how they switched up the meals every week and always had a different variety of veggies and meats.
