Located in the Escondido business areas, close to the Auto Park. It was pretty busy when I came, it seems like it is the go to eatery for those who work nearby. Friendly service. They serve breakfast items from open 7am - 1030am. They have a variety of cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, salads & pastries. Chicken Chipotle Ciabatta Club: Hot sandwich. Generous filling, hearty sandwich. I am going to ask for extra chipotle sauce next time because it was so tasty! I will definitely come back to try their Mac Salad, slappin' style. read more

A diamond in the middle of the industrial park of Escondido, and has become one of my favorite sandwich shops in town! The ladies running the shop were so patient and nice to me with how indecisive I was trying to decide which to try. I opted for the Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich and their soup of the day. My husband ordered the Toasted turkey and picked up a container of deviled eggs. Everything was AMAZING. My only regret was not getting the large soup. The chicken poblano soup was very creamy, a little kick of spice and would be perfect for a cold winter day. The sandwiches had generous portions of meat and veggies. One of my friends showed me this cute little sandwich shop near work. We went a little later in the day about 1:30 so it was pretty empty. They have a few tables inside and a couple outside. Menu is on the counter to choose your food. They have a soda machine and also a fridge with bottled drinks. I tried the roast beef sandwich (cold), added chips and a drink. The sandwich was a good size and definitely filled me up. I subbed out the horseradish for mayo and it still hit the spot. Will definitely come back to this spot for lunch. read more

Great little hole in the wall Sandwich shop. Definitely a locals vibe here. Owner and staff are very nice, owner ensured everything was just perfect for us. High quality meats and veggies here, my salad was huge and I added extra chicken to it, which many places would give you a few slices, I think here they gave me the equivalent to two chicken breast cut up on top. Very tender and flavorful as well, not dry chicken breast. The interior has a nice homey feel with various types of seating to be comfortable and an intentional shabby chic look to it at. Seating inside as well as some outdoor patio seating, private parking lot, great spot overall. Next time I am down in San Diego, I plan on dropping by again and getting a nice lunch at Tina's Too again. Enjoy! read more

This is a small but mighty sandwich shop located in a business park in Escondido. There's plenty of free parking. You can sit inside or on the patio outside but they seem to do a lot of takeout business, which is what I did. We tried the Turkey, Bacon and Avocado, the Toasted Club, and the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch and Avocado. All were very good and the ingredients were extremely fresh. (By the way, there are no cutesy names here for the sandwiches. Personally, I really appreciate just ordering sandwiches with completely normal names that tell you what the sandwich is all about. Can I get an amen from anyone else?) Of the three sandwiches, the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch and Avocado on a toasted roll was the clear winner. It's a hefty sandwich with great textures and flavors. I think the fact it came on a roll--as opposed to just sandwich bread--definitely helped. We also tried the deviled eggs (delish) and the potato salad ("slappin' style"--the only cutesy name on the menu--which means it comes with cheese, bacon, and jalopenos on top). The potato salad was nice and creamy and the addition of the "slappin" ingredients made it even better. The sandwiches were made quickly and perfectly. Service was very friendly. My one complaint--there is no website for these guys. Folks, it's time to join the 21st century. Get a basic website and put your menu on it. Please. Very good sandwiches here. Found the location from the Yelp app and so glad I did. The employees are very friendly which you can tell because they have regulars. I went with the roast beef and cheddar sandwich which was on sourdough bread. I usually don't like sourdough bread because it's usually too chewy but theirs was soft and really fresh. Been looking for a consistently tasty sandwich place since moving to Escondido & although I have to drive a little more than I'd like to pick up from Dood's... SOOOOOOO worth it! First time we visited was to treat ourselves to lunch after receiving our 2nd vax. I wanted to keep it healthy, but filling so I ordered the antipasto salad with Italian dressing. When I tell you this salad was big, I mean like this is a 2 person salad, folks! I eat large portions but I couldn't not tackle this! No sir! So to say the least, this was FILLING! So when I read that they were collaborating with Tina's Deli and opening up shop in Escondido I had to check them out.. Dood's Deli is a traditional office deli so don't expect crazy food truck cuisine to be served here.. The menu is sandwich focused with breakfast items and a daily soup selection. We ordered the Hot & Spicy Turkey (turkey, habanero jack cheese, jalapenos, avocado smash on toasted sourdough). It was a good tasting sandwich. We had lunch yesterday at this Deli again and we were grateful for the tables and chairs outside! Even though it was warm, there was a fresh breeze. We were greeted by George, the owner who welcomed us back and asked, "Are you going to try something new Mike?" My hubby ordered a Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich on Sourdough (they didn't run out this time). I ordered a Sunrise Sandwich. When my hubby picked up the sandwiches, one of the helpers gave him extra spears of pickles which he loves. Both sandwiches were delicious. When I went in to throw my trash, George remembered my name and asked how was my sandwich then we got to talking about my last visit which they were able to remedy the tuna situation. This place has the best sandwiches in town, hands down! My husband usually orders the spicy turkey avocado ranch, I have had it before as well, mouth watering good! Today I ordered the special: buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken was so tender and the sandwich was full of flavor. The food here is always fresh. The soups are just as good as the sandwiches. They have salads and serve breakfast as well but I am usually here for the sandwiches! The place has been remodeled, the interior is inviting and organic. It seems as though they designed the place with spatial awareness in mind. There is plenty of space to sit indoors and they have outdoor seatinh as well. I like that when I enter, I am greeted by a cheerful employee and when I'm ordering my food, the cashier is paying attention, asking questions, and informative of the menu. Tina's Too is an excellent lunch spot! I want to thank the employees for having such wonderful hospitality and sharing their delicious eats with the community. I was starving after fasting all day for a medical appointment nearby, and sandwiches at Dood's were my saving grace! The awesome ladies behind the counter were friendly and helpful with suggestions, and my mom and I stepped in 20 minutes before closing time (2pm on weekdays) to grab some lunch to-go. I got a massive Italian sub and she ordered the Toasted Club (there is currently a reduced menu print-out available inside that's slightly different from what's here on Yelp)--both were piled high with meats and more than enough for our lunch. We also ordered a Chef's Salad to split together later, which my parents RAVED about at home because it was so generously portioned and bursting with crisp, fresh veggies. They don't skimp on anything at Dood's! This will be my go-to lunch spot next time I'm in the area, as I really want to try the Poblano Chowder from the pictures others have posted. Was referred here by my coworker Steve since we both work real close to Dood's. The previous deli that was here I always felt left a lot to be desired and after a few try's I eventually gave up on it, but Dood's definitely brought life back into this deli and boy they excelled at it! I've eaten here a few times now, or rather picked it up and brought it back to the office to enjoy and both times had the Italian sub. The first time it was the basic Italian sub, but the one I had today had some extra kick behind it with the ghost pepper jack cheese and spicy salami. The gentleman that took my order over the phone was very enthusiastic, gave me a realistic wait time and assured me that it'd be fresh when I picked it up which was accurate as they were just finishing making it when I arrived. The quality of their meat and all their ingredients were far better than any regular sandwich chain and everything definitely exceeded my expectations as well. I look forward to more lunches from Dood's and find that it's worth the extra buck or so for a quality sandwich. Would strongly recommend Dood's to anyone who works in the area! read more

The bread was fresh, fluffy, and fa-real good. The meats were on point too! The salami was top shelf and was extremely savory. All the other meats they packed in there were really on par with the sandwich itself. The lettuce was crisp and freshly balanced out the sandwich.
