I love shopping at Sprouts Encinitasbecause of the very high quality and variety of fruits and vegetables. i also enjoy their fresh made sandwich section. Not only are sandwiches delicious, but they are a great value. What is even more special about Sprouts is the kindness and helpfulness of its employees. Today , I had another very special surprise. I spoke to Bob, the store manager, about Sprouts supporting a Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thanksgiving Day for our community seniors who have no one to share that special day with. What a gracious man!!! Stores are constantly being asked to support various charities, but he reacted as if my request was the most important one he had to deal with and agreed to a generous donation. Stores are in business to make money, but by his actions, Bob made it really clear that Sprouts is in business to serve our community. Sprouts is a great place to patronize. read more

I love shopping here for multiple reasons. The store is clean and organized, has incredible selections and the organic produce. I made the review 5 stars despite one checker / one time / talking to me in a disrespectful way. I chalk that up to everyone can have a bad day or a poor moment....it was an anomaly. extremely disappointed with sprouts deli. it used to be the place to go for big sandwiches for a great deal! $4.99 to $5.99 for a meal w/ a bag of chips and a water. I'm used to the sandwich being a hefty portion, now it feels like they're skipping. Also took away their toaster so I had to bring the sandwich back to work and toast it there. really nice customer service but disappointed in the size. read more

Starting a diet can be tough, and honestly, I wasn't sure if I could stick with it. Fast food like McDonald's and Krispy Kreme never really left me feeling full, just wanting more. But walking into Sprouts was a game changer. This store is known for its healthy options, and I was so glad I came here. I picked up sushi and sandwiches for me and my boyfriend, along with juice, muffins (blueberry and pistachio), and a yogurt parfait. Which actually filled me up! I also found out that Sprouts accepts EBT, which is a huge plus. I didn't interact much with the staff since I used electronic payment, but the sandwich maker was really kind. When I asked for a spoon for my parfait, he even checked if I needed one or two. That small gesture made my experience even better. Overall, Sprouts made healthy eating feel easy and satisfying. My review is in regards to 1. Pickup 2. Deli DO NOT order ahead. I've had my time changed hours past set time, changed to next day, or cancelled almost 8 times in the past few months. I work doubles every day and me not getting the order within the window provided when I first order (which is usually in the morning or day before) is super irritating. I ordered my pickup order this morning to be ready by 6-7pm and it was changed to tomorrow in the afternoon, which does not work with my schedule, so I had to cancel. So I now have to run inside after a 12 hour work day to pick up the food I need, again :/ 2. "Sandwich slices" have turned into thin pieces that break apart. I always order the same meat and same style slices forever, so I know this is not how it used to be. Paying $15 for meat when you have to throw a bunch of torn pieces to make a sandwich is not ideal. And the older woman that's been working the deli there forever (and used to be so nice) now acts like you are inconveniencing her. And if you make a little change on something she gets extremely irritated and rips the paper and starts over, when it's not even a big change. If it's too overwhelming (which it wasn't when I went and I order two things), she should move departments. read more

Sprouts in Escondido is hands-down one of my favorite grocery stores. Their vegan and plant-based selection is amazing! It actually feels easy and exciting to shop here. The Blackbird pizza is one of the best frozen vegan pizzas I've ever had, and the vegan chocolate chip cookies from the bakery are seriously next-level. Couldn't give a review of 0 stars. Started out in the vitamin section and asked for assistance and the clerk said this isn't his dept. He didn't try to help or find someone who could. There seemed to be a lot of things out of stock not sure why but going in to a holiday weekend you'd think they'd be ready. In the deli section the one thing I came for I was informed wouldn't be prepared until after 12 I was there at 9:45. I proceed to check out there are two checkers standing in front of registers. Both state they are closed and there are no other lines open. I blame management for poorly hiring and training. No stars for Escondido failed miserably. read more

This review is for the deli. My husband had a great sandwich the other day, but today when we went it was disappointing. Service was slow, and the sandwich was just mediocre. Paid an extra for avocado, and was given 2 slices for the entire sandwich and the avocado stem was left on in the sandwich. Reviews with Attitude may have a set of pretty eyes, but being disabled, I sometimes need a little help. So I regularly purchased this and other Sprouts precooked meals prior to the pandemic for between $6 to $8. They had a good variety, tasted good, were nutritious and saved me the trouble of cooking. But there's been a snag . . . The price understandably went up $2 to $3 per meal during the pandemic, which they told me in an email was due to supply chain issues. OK, this I can understand. However, two years post-pandemic, and Sprouts is now price gouging it's premade meals (and a great many other products) almost doubling the price, like this shrimp and mashed cauliflower meal, which used to cost $7-8, but is now priced at $11-16 (depending on purchase in-store or online). Additionally, they've reduced the amount of protein in each meal, like this one which used to contain 6 shrimp, but now contains only 5. I've emailed Sprouts about this issue, which they are pinning on increased post pandemic expenses. However I believe Sprouts instead discovered during the pandemic most people would pay a higher price, so they're sticking with that. I've stopped buying this and most other products from Sprouts, due solely to their post pandemic prices, which lets be honest were already higher than most grocery stores. Coincidentally, our federal government is in the process of implementing new post pandemic price gouging regulations to crack down on companies where documented experiences like mine can be investigated by gov't regulators, who will take take punitive action if validated. read more

They've got a pretty good Deli. My wife enjoys shopping here in the other departments, I am partial to their Deli counter. I think they carry everything from Boar's Head. This is a very friendly store. The employees are very pleasant and seem to enjoy that you came there to shop. The layout is a lot different than other grocery stores. Sprouts is all about their produce, so it's front and center in the middle of the store. Five stars for an awesome Butcher and Deli. read more

I used to love shopping there, so much so, I took a part time job working at the deli since I've been retired and really just wanted to stay active. I had the worse experience of my life working there, not only because of the horrible toxic environment, but most of all because of what I will never be able to unsee. EXPIRATION DATES ON FOODS they prepare mean absolutely nothing. Please do not but any food they prepare!! I will do my best to try and an agency to go inspect what they do, until then, please, please take care of your self.
