Bomb burger. Atmosphere: It's a burger joint inside. They have electronic menus too so you don't even have to talk to anyone anymore! That was ALSO not around 20 years ago. Damn I'm old. Anyway, they just remolded the place inside so it looks all new except for the hoard of boxes to the left of the registers. NGL, little wigged out by that. I think you should put all of your supplies in the back or somewhere where customers don't see your mess. Just sayin. Service: Ummm the electronic menu got our order right at least, haha! The guy that handed us our food looked nice enough but there wasn't much more than that for "service." However, this doesn't impact their score at all. Price: It's a burger. Call me old (because I am?) but hot dang when did a burger jump up to 8$ just for the burger? And it's thin meat too so like... I would expect it to actually be cheaper than a big, thick burger. I guess it's a sign of the times, but a meal will run you close to 15$ after tax. So it's not super pricy but I just feel it's a little more than I would typically pay. Overall: It's good, love the mushroom burger, not a fan of the price. I guess I should have gotten the special, I think they do one of those for 4$...? So I dunno, I'm just old. Breakfast menu is fire! Everything is cooked to order, is it fast like McDonald's, no, but food is always hot and fresh. Hands down my go-to spot when I'm craving a breakfast sandwich. Rather support a business like this instead of getting slop at other bigger chain fast food spots. They also offer gluten free buns for anyone that is allergic. read more

This place 10/10 my new fav burger spot! First let me just say the staff was SO nice!! They ALL greeted us when we walked in, offered help if we had any questions. You can either order at the kiosk or with staff. It took maybe 5-7 minutes for our food to come out. It was hot, tasted super fresh and perfectly well made. The brioche bun was as so soft! We got onion rings, two of the kids sliders combo and my kids loved them and the double cheeseburger with added grilled onions. My brother goes to another location and others have told me about them. Based on good feedback, I've been wanting to try them. Plus, the NC location is across from In & Out. I & O always has large lines while crispy doesn't. Not only do I not want a long line, but I want to support the new guys. Finally tried them today. In & Out is classic and has its place. But the burger and fries at Crispy are just way better. I tried the cowboy burger and fries combo. Burger was awesome. Also, their fries are a little more well done and seasoned awesome. I needed to be in the area, so looking for some place to eat, Eat Crispy came up. I like the fact that there's an outdoor patio, so I could eat outside with Cako. The staff is really friendly...and so are some of the other customers. I had asked how long they had been here and after the worker told me, this guy told me what it was before. He appeared to really like the new place which is a good sign. I ordered the combo American, double, but I sadly forgot to add bacon. Guess I need to come back! LOL! The burger was delicious! Wow! We stopped by here a week after finding out that the former tenant, Freddy's, had moved on. I went inside and walked up to the ordering kiosk. I placed my order for a western/cowboy burger which had onion rings on it. I also ordered onion rings as my side item. I waited about 12-15 minutes and so I figured that they are making the burgers as they are ordered, a plus! We drove home with our food and it was great. The story of the owners is posted on the wall inside the dining room. The workers were all young and not too friendly, just doing their jobs to get through the night. Unfortunately, I did not have a very good experience at this Eat Crispy Burger location in National City. I ordered the double O.G. cheese burger with the thousand island dressing on the side and at a medium temp on the meat, with a side on onion rings and a black iced tea $14 and change plus tax. To my disappointment, they put the thousand island on the burger, and they overcooked the burger to a well done. The burger was not only well done but overly charred and burnt. It was burnt to the point that the black charring left a bitter flavor throughout both patties. I could actually taste the burnt flavor from the griddle. I understand these crispy burgers need to have a good charring to promote that nice crispiness, but there's charring to a nice Mailard reaction that promoted that caramelized dark brown, almost glistening appeal. If you look at my pictures, you will see the black burnt portions on the burger. On a good note, the onions were very good. They were of the frozen variety but had a good crispy texture, pretty good-sized tender onions inside, and tasted good. The black to made by Miranda was very good, too. The service was very nice too. A burger separated in a bowl. This difference, is the presentation and items in it. It has juicy cherry tomatoes, tons of peppers, your choice of onions,and lettuce. They don't skimp on the jalapeños. My wife gave them to me. So bowl was extra spicy. The kids hot dog is served on a sesame seed bun. It is a quality dog split down the middle. My son loved it. The fries almost seemed home made. They are fresh, with a light crisp to the bite. The service is nice. The employees are nice and fast. I came right before the dinner rush. So we got our food fast, and plenty of room to sit. As we started leaving. It started to get busy. I recommend going around 6pm. I plan to come back for another review.
