This place was VERY good! My husband and I absolutely loved their burgers and fries. We didn't try the milkshake because we aren't really milkshake people but we ARE burger people. I always say that a burger needs to stand out from other "traditional" burger places, and the ingredient that stood out to me the most was the pickles. The pickles were most definitely house-pickled, and they had such a good kick to the burger! We loved them. After our first bite, my husband and I looked at each other because we immediately noticed that the pickles were different. Then we took our second bite, and it was just a great explosion of flavor in your mouth. We were actually the second customers there, so our burgers were made fresh right after we ordered. The guy working was by himself at the time, taking orders and making the food, so I definitely recommend being patient if you visit when they're short-staffed. Someone came in after us and was told there would be about a 30-minute wait, and I honestly completely understood. He was doing everything himself! We also talked about going back to try their onion rings and maybe even giving their milkshake a shot. Our drink of choice this time was a Michelada, and they use Clamato, which was a HUGE plus for me. I personally can't stand Michis made with Bloody Mary mix. This one was tasty and paired perfectly with our burgers. Overall, we had a really good experience and a delicious meal. I will say, the guy who took our order was very nice, so no complaints at all about the service. Unfortunately, the food was really disappointing. We both ordered the El Swagador burger and neither of us liked it. The meat lacked seasoning, and the pork belly tasted off to both of us. I ordered mine without the serrano chilies (thank goodness), because my boyfriend kept them on his and said it was way too spicy to even enjoy. I also ordered an Oreo milkshake, but it was pretty bland and lacked flavor. The only things we actually enjoyed were the onion rings and fries. For almost $100 total, we left feeling like we completely wasted our money -- especially paying $26 per burger and not even finishing half of them. The restaurant also didn't feel very clean and lacked any atmosphere or vibe. Delicious. The whole thing is unbelievably soft and the flavor of the meat is impeccable. It also has some extra depth to it that I can't place. I want to say it uses cumin also, but honestly I'm not sure. I guess it's not exactly cheap, but well, it is what it is. The sweet pickles also give it an extra counter that wouldn't be offered by regular pickles. For my personal preference, I might like a little of something else in it. Like a bit of onion maybe, but that's just me. Both the burger and fries use this secret yellow-ish sauce that I suspect contains honey mustard and maybe some other salad dressing. The sidewinder fries are less like fries and more like potato wedges to me in size, texture, and taste. I'm posting a pic of the website's home page in photos. About 5 minutes later I get my order and take it home. I feel a little ripped off that this was a $32 burger and fries. I was craving meat so decided to come here for a burger. My husband and I were immediately seated and given a menu. The guy taking our order was very friendly and informative. The hospitality was really warm. I ordered the 1/4 lb japanese wagyu burger, wagyu fat fries, and wagyu fat brownie shake. Yes. That's right. A wagyu fat brownie shake! I was like wth is that?! I need to try it! It is thick and creamy and tastes like if you put an ice cream sandwich in a blender. It was yummy. the burger meat was smashed so it was sticking out of the burger. I ordered the Japanese Swagyu Burger and some Sidewinder fries. First and foremost, this is one of the best burgers that I've had in a very long time! It's juicy, flavorful and huge! The fries were puffy and flavored right. The fries could be a meal on their own! Unfortunately it took awhile to get seated and get service. The server was solo and working all stations. Stopped by Swagyu again to treat my mom, brother (and his little dog, Tsu), and myself to their delicious burgers and fries for lunch. Wonderful staff was very accommodating bringing a cup of water for Tsu and letting us know about their "doggie" burger for four-legged diners. Hector and Nikita shared the table duties for our visit and they had a packed dining room today with over-flow patrons in the attached bar area. Tsu wasn't the only doggie dining at Swagyu because a party of nine brought a tiny dog in a baby carriage in while we were ordering. The waitstaff juggled patrons flawlessly delivering burgers, French fries, and drinks quickly to hungry customers while staying cheerful and professional where lesser servers would be overwhelmed by the full house. Hector and Nikita handled everything with smiles and ease. My mom and I enjoyed our meal and my very picky brother was pleased and satisfied. He especially enjoyed the Mexican Coke available at Swagyu. He declared the restaurant and staff delighted his tastebuds and that they accommodated Tsu made the experience worthy of a chef's kiss!! I sat down at the bar, and ordered a cheese burger and fries. While waiting for my order the girl who was working the front, by herself. Delicious!! Must come to try these burgers! We've seen all the other outposts in Little Italy and more are popping up, so having one close that doesn't have the tourist traffic is nice! We stopped by 7pm on a Tuesday, fairly empty and plenty of parking. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the Classic and Swagador burgers and sidewinder fries and two 1-liter Mexican Cokes. Man, can I say the classic may be my current leader for a classic burger? It's quite pricey but man I was so happy eating it! The Swagador has a lot of flavors going on so definitely keep that in mind. And the sidewinder fries, I didn't know if I've ever seen that style before but they are like twisty wedges. I don't blame the guy working tonight entirely because he was by himself. But when I tell you the only thing good about this place was the food...this owner should be so disappointed. You had so many people coming in , saw one guy walk out because it took the employee forever to provide service. When we came in and ordered he lacked knowledge of the menu. When he delivered our food, he lacked the knowledge of who ordered what fries. I had to tell him myself that no my fries were the shoestring. Which I don't have a problem with we can just switch but just placing the food on the table without even stating what is what...cmon dude. This seemed to happen again with another table right next to us. He even stated "I got the burgers right just put the fries in the wrong plates". Not even sorry nothing. The people at the bar got their beers 30 min after sitting down. It was just horrendous. shame on you. Guy needs more practice providing better service, but he really did try his best. I always pass by this place and have been meaning to try it! The burgers were so so so good (I got the American style burger lettuce wrapped w no pickles, and bf got the OG Swagyu burger) and we were so surprised how good they were! The patties were so juicy and flavorful! The veggies also tasted super fresh! The secret sauce was yummy and bf loved the brioche bun! I think next time tho, he'd ask for a more toasted bun, but that's just preference! We loved the sidewinder fries, and 1 order was enough for both of us (the burgers filled us up but also just preference). We totally forgot to ask for extra sauce for the fries so we'll def have to do that next time! We took our food to go, but the service was quick. We were there on a Sat afternoon around lunch time, and we got our food in 10 mins! Next time we'll have to dine in! Little hole in the wall burger joint by house. Have been eyeing it for a while and my husband and I decided to give it a try for lunch today. When we first walked in, it was quiet but we were greeted by our lovely server. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and our server was prompt. Everything was really good. Five guys is not the best burger to me but a very fair burger and five guys was better. This burger was better than most other fast food burgers like Burger King and McDonald's but not by much. The fries were a little too oily. If the burger and fries cost $15-$20 then maybe I'd come again but for $32 no drink I felt I was cheated. The customer service was fair. Server told me they'd been opened for months? Was gonna freshen up but to no avail NO Public restrooms bummer I ordered the double 1/2lbs & added katsu cheese & tomato with sweet potato waffle fries. Food came fast within 10mins, there was only 3 customers eating ‍burger looked as I ordered it to be. Noticed the sweet potato waffle fries looking burnt. So at first bite of this hyped up burger. patty cooked not burnt just right & hearing katsu cheese crunch & melt over your mouth, oh so good. Flavor was a delight. So next tried the fries and despite it looking burnt it was good so maybe just the appearance? So overall I enjoyed the food & Luis the server & owner I think? provided a really good service. The ambiance could be improved though & there has to be a restroom. Food is pricey but there's quality in what I had so it's understandable but $3 for a can soda?‍ curios bout the Swagador burger so will be back for that. They didn't check in often enough and forgot items. I was half way through the meal before anyone was around for me to ask what happened to my drink. Thereafter, it took another 10 minutes before I got my old fashioned. It may be better for Swagyu to keep their dining casual because with reservations, you expect a certain level of service. The food, sadly was not as tasty either. Half of our group complained that the meat on their burgers were overcooked. Their burger sauce, as my daughter described it, "was just existing."
