Visited Texas Roadhouse 7/14 in celebration of my mother-in-law's birthday. This experience was really different than previous experiences...... What we ordered: * Combo appetizer * Sirloin Steak 12 oz * 4 pc Catfish * 12 oz Strip * Strawberry Cheesecake Alyssa was our server. We shared with her that we were celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday. She even wished her a happy birthday. Aside from our ordered items listed, I had also requested a side order of grilled bread (like how they serve with their shrimp). I've ordered it before..... When our food was delivered I reminded our waitress about the order of my grilled bread. She left as though to go get it. She then came back saying that they don't do that..... What!? I've ordered it before. Did our waitress forget to put the order in and just didn't want to deal with it? I said it was fine & continued with dinnner. When we were wrapping up dinner I had asked our waitress about the birthday treat options provided. I was then told that they no longer offer that. I then advised the waitress that I would just go ahead and order a dessert for the birthday celebration. The dessert came. No candle or HBD acknowledgment.... We were a little shocked since we had seen a group of employees singing HBD to someone else earlier. Not sure if our waitress was having an off day.... But it felt like we were pulling teeth to try and make this dinner memorable for a birthday celebration. We asked our waitress what had happened to the saddle and HBD celebration? She then said she could bring the saddle if we really wanted her to..... REALLY!? She was almost bothered by the request. Eventually my mother-in-law was able to sit on the saddle and a group of employees came to sing to her. That's all she really wanted..... Really sad that it seemed like it was such a bother to do that for her.

    * Friendly customer service * Casual, family-friendly atmosphere * Plenty of convenient parking We came out for dinner because we had some gift cards for this spot. We arrived around 3:30 PM and had no wait at all! If you're planning to come later in the evening, I definitely recommend joining the waitlist online beforehand it's super easy and saves time. If you're in the mood for a good steak and a tasty baked potato, definitely check out Texas Roadhouse. The appetizers are huge portions! We tried the new spicy onion appetizer and loved the spicy kick, although it was just a tad salty for our taste. The customer service was excellent. Dee was amazing, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. The portions here are a little big for me, so my husband and I usually share. We typically order an appetizer and split an entrée, and it always works out perfectly. If you're looking for a casual spot with good food, generous portions, and great service, this is definitely worth a visit!

Everything was sweet except the "sweet tea"! The food was good and huge portions but everything had an oddly sweet flavor for Texas BBq. My prime rib tasted like it had a sweet rub encrusted on the outside. It was a very loud and interactive experience so if you are looking for a quiet conversation or even hearing any other conversations at the table I wouldn't count on it. This was my husband's first time and we had a pretty positive experience. The server was amazing despite how busy this place was! The rolls are pretty freakin amazing! The onion was good but the sauce I wasn't a fan of. The sweet potato was delicious. I definitely want to take hubby to the one in Texas for a true legit experience.

I stopped by on a Tuesday night to grab a quick bite to eat around 9 PM. I was seated in the bar area and my service was great. I wish I remembered the server name. The food was tasty. I started with the House salad with thousand island and for dinner. I had the New York strip with a sweet potato and veggies.

Service was super fast and friendly! Would definitely come back when craving some meat. I haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse in many, many years and this visit did not disappoint. We started with the Rattlesnake Bites and they were not worth it. They were nice and crispy and the flavor was good (jalapenos and cheese), but they were WAY too salty. To the point I couldn't finish them and I pretty much never leave unfinished food! But the rest of the meal was on point! The rolls were delicious and warm. Also had a small caesar, the porterhouse with mushrooms and the fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. I LOVE a thick fry and these were crispy and nicely seasoned. The mushrooms were a little bland, but nothing a little salt didn't help. Portions were huge and compared to a majority of steak places, very good value!

The food is excellent as always--this remains our favorite steakhouse. My husband would happily dine here every day if he could! The service is consistently good, from the host stand to the servers. A special mention to Savanna, the greeter, who was especially warm and welcoming with a genuinely pleasant attitude. Overall, it's an outstanding experience with excellent customer service and delicious food.

If you've been to Texas Roadhouse before, then you know what to expect. It's a lively atmosphere, some good free rolls and sweet butter, and a tasty steak. This last visit I came to this location by myself and asked for a table because I'm not a big fan of eating at the bar. They obliged, even during a busy dinner time. The waitress was very friendly and super patient. I didn't feel like I was being rushed along like I do at some places when I'm eating alone. The food was warm. The steak was cooked correctly. And the the service was fantastic! I highly recommend this location!

This past time I visited, vibes were great (as always), server was friendly, and actually my 6 oz sirloin was cooked perfectly this time around. Sometimes the cook on the steak is hit or miss but this time it was just right. Bread rolls are always so good. Mwah

The hostess was courteous and accommodating. The decor was cute and fitting. While waiting to be seated you could see how others were enjoying the atmosphere. Our server Adam was excellent. He was attentive and checked on us several times even though the place was packed. The food was delicious. The only improvement could have been that the sweet potato was overcooked. The bread is so good!

TO GO FOOD Great food, instructions for picking up to go could've been clearer. Had an amazing to-go dinner from Texas roadhouse. I was very pleasantly surprised at the excellent freshness and quality of the food. I ordered the 20 ounce bone in ribeye medium rare, with a Caesar salad salad and a fully loaded potato. The dinner came with two delicious fresh baked rolls with cinnamon butter. It also came with a complementary bag of peanuts.. The meat was tasty and soft. Potato fluffy, salad crispy. All around a happy camper with the food. The only snafu was when you ordered the food you get a text when your food is ready and the text says to wait in your car. I thought somebody was gonna come out and bring me my order. It said to wait in the to area and you have to text them that you're there. then I got another text that said to go to the pick up area again. I thought they were gonna bring me the food, in actuality you have to go up to the pick up window and pick up and pay for your food. Anyways I would definitely order food from them again. I think the quality is even better than the other chain steakhouse in Chula Vista starts with a B and ends with an S. Try them out you'll be happy that you did.

Seeing all the hype around the city, we finally got the chance to try this place! It's still very popular, with a daily waitlist. Since we didn't have a reservation, we waited about 40 minutes, it well worth it. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like a ranch-style sports bar, which we really enjoyed. We ordered the T-bone, New York strip, and filet mignon, each served with two sides of our choice. Everything was incredibly tasty. The steaks were tender and literally melted in our mouths. Even the bread and butter stood out, so so good. Service was excellent as well. Unfortunately, we didn't catch our server's name, but she was blonde and very attentive also so sweet! She truly helped make our experience even better. Overall, a great dining experience and definitely worth the wait. VERDICT: I WILL COMEBACK

Came here New Year's Eve, with my boyfriend ( it was his first time to txrh ) and we had a couple margaritas, appetizer, and our meals. We got sat within 5 mins, on a clearly very busy night. The rolls were FRESH out of that oven, we had chicken, filets, and shrimp- everything was delicious. My boyfriend said it was the best filet he's had. My boyfriend and I are both servers, at very busy places and have been for years. With that being said I'd like to shoutout our server: Andre was our server and he was on time with everything, refills, check in on food, was polite and hit all key points, he did a great job upselling to. He introduced us to the breaker (Miguel) too, and the transition was smooth! Great job management and wait staff! Everyone was absolutely polite and pleasant!!!! Thank you!!!

I don't even know where to begin. The waiters at this Texas Roadhouse location are so damn fine!!! I don't remember his name, but I know it started with an A, and ended with an E. He has a fat ass, and is the finest waiter I've ever seen! It looked like he was glowing! That guy with the tattoo behind his right ear, is stunning! I heard him barking because it was someone's birthday, and I nearly collapsed. The host with the mustache is so handsome, he should be a waiter. And Jaden. That man is one of the greatest looking men I've ever seen in person! On my way out, he said, "Have a good day!". I almost died! I know that's his job, but damn, he did it well! Every man working there is fine as hell! I couldn't catch all of their names but I figured it was worth to mention. The people I mentioned were the names/looks I noticed. I don't know where they were found. It was really hard to stay dry. I'm glad to have had those men as entertainment while eating because without them, I would've been bored out of my mind! I really hope those employees see this review. They deserve to know how fine they are, they were like a magnet for my eyes. I wish it was their meat in my mouth instead of the steak that I ordered. The steak I ate was good too,I guess.

Perfection is the only word of 1000 words for this picture.

Can we just place an order for the bread/rolls?

Yes, they let you do that for sure. They also have a take out option that lets you do that as well, all you have to do is drive up and walk to the take out side and they will have your order ready for you.

This is probably the longest overdue review I have ever written, but at this point, not writing it…read morealmost feels selfish because I would very much like to always be able to get a table here. But alas, Carbon Angela's Kitchen deserves every flower, every reservation, every "you have to try this place" text thread, and every bit of love. This place has become one of my absolute favorite hidden gems in San Diego. Easily top five for me, and as someone who dines out a lot for a living, that is not a casual statement. There are places you like, places you recommend, and then there are places that start to feel woven into your actual life. Carbon Angela's Kitchen is that for me. Angela is truly the heart of this place. She has this way of making you feel like you are not just coming in for dinner, but being welcomed into something she deeply cares about. And Emanuele is absolutely part of that magic too. Together, they have built something that feels warm, generous, soulful, and so special. They feel like long-lost friends and family now, and I am honestly just so proud of them and all they are creating. The food is the kind that makes you want to order with the whole table in mind. The griglia mista is hands down one of the best investments you can make if you are dining with a group. It is the meat platter, it is the moment, and it is absolutely worth ordering. Four to five people can split it, especially if you are also doing appetizers, salad, wine, and a few extra things for the table. It is such a perfect nod to what Carbon was before Angela took over, when the space leaned more BBQ, but now it feels beautifully married with Angela's warmth, Italian influence, and the kind of hospitality that makes the whole meal feel like an experience. And please do not sleep on the rest of the menu. The short rib is fire. The arancino trio is always a yes. The eggplant croquette? Obsessed. The crespelle? So good. The Everything Salad is my favorite salad on the menu, and the street corn should never, under any circumstances, be skipped. I said what I said. The wine selection is top tier, the appetizers are memorable, and the whole place has that rare magic of feeling cozy, intentional, and completely unpretentious. You can come for a low-key dinner, a girls' night, a celebration, or one of those "we just need a really good meal and a really good glass of wine" kind of evenings. And the back patio? Perfect for an evening under twinkling lights. It is one of those spaces that just begs for a long table, good conversation, clinking glasses, and the kind of night that accidentally turns into a core memory. They also have catering menus available, which is very important information to keep in your back pocket if you are hosting anything soon. What Angela has built is honestly something to behold. One of the hardest-working restaurateurs doing the dang thing in a city like San Diego, and now opening Bedda across the way too? I am in awe and wonder watching it all unfold. It takes so much courage, grit, taste, excellence, and heart to build what they are building, and you can feel all of it in the room. Carbon Angela's Kitchen is a true labor of love, a hidden gem, and one of those places I will keep cheering for again and again. Go hungry. Order the griglia mista. Get the Everything Salad. Do not skip the street corn. Share Share Share, so you can try a little bit of everything and do a tried and true family style meal, you won't regret it.

We order the Rigatoni Sugo which has a Tomato based sauce and assorted meats (Meatballs, Sausage, Cubes of meat) and was delicious along with the meats as well. We also added the Picanha Steak Entree with the Brie Fondue and that was so different while being soooo yummy. The fish had a fantastic crunch, and the fries were nicely seasoned without being over the top. While the fish batter itself didn't have any distinct spices, it tasted great dipped in their tartar sauce. They also have a small bar and a few bottles of wine for sale--it's a modest selection, but a really nice touch if you want an alcoholic beverage with your meal. Bonus: it's dog-friendly! Overall I was very satisfied with this meal and was basically the cost of fast food burger meals nowadays. The only downside is the burgers were not well down and had pink inside. Not the end of the world but this would have been a 5 star review if they were well done. We will definitely be back!!

I arrived and waited at least 15 minutes and staff came out gave food to other customer and didn't even acknowledge me or ask my name so after the 15 minutes of the estimated food being done, I walked in. My food, was sitting on the counter. I ordered two dishes and and once again I had to ask for additional items even utensils I mean it's common sense to add those things to the bag and the gentleman that was helping me lack customer service. I recommend if you order curbside just go in and grab your food.

Coming back last night and seeing all the changes was pretty neat! The owner, Sarah, came out to greet us and personally took care of us, which made the experience feel even more special. I ordered the single burger, and my buddy went with the sliders. Both were solid not dry at all, and you could really taste the great quality of the meat. Sarah shared with us that she and her husband source their beef directly from Monterrey, Mexico, just three hours from the Texas border (you can even fly straight there from the TJ airport!). The meat is grass-fed and hormone-free, and it definitely shows in the flavor and juiciness of the patties. My single burger was juicy and packed with flavor, and the truffle fries were amazing crispy, savory, and perfectly seasoned. I love supporting local spots like this, especially when you can feel the passion behind what they do. Thanks for the great night, Sarah and the Lopez family can't wait to come back soon
