Located in Platypus, it's a hidden gem for delicious brussel sprouts! However the special 1lb chicken wings and fries was not a hit at my table. The chicken lacked flavor while the fries were over-seasoned. The special came with two containers of sauce and not even more sauce would have made the chicken better.

Located inside of Platypus. Ordered a basket of Brussels and popcorn chicken. Staff was super. Prices seemed fair. Moved over to watch live Jazz. Overall tasty bites. I would return. 3.5 rounding up with great service.

Amazing Bar food!!! How great that they housed right next to Platypus and you only have to walk to the next room to order food or ear inside there with your cocktail. The fiance loves pinball and plays pinball while he waits for our food. The food is made to order, so ALWAYS arrives hot-n-fresh from the window. When you place your order they give you a buzzer to notify you once your food is ready. We've tried EVERYTHING except the cauliflower. The Brussel sprouts and fried Tofu are absolutely AMAZING!!! The Tofu is served over white bread to absorb the excess oil from frying with your choice of dipping sauces to accompany. The sauces are homemade and add that extra touch, even though the Tofu is extremely creamy and light on the inside with that crisp, seasoned outer. The Brussels sprouts are heaven in your mouth, perfectly seasoned and mouth wateringly delicious. The fried chicken bites and french fries are zesty, well seasoned and portioned nicely with various dipping sauces. The ranch is always a go to as well as the mustard and Asian sauce. Absolutely affordable and generous portions that hit the spot. Service is quick and fast. Definitely recommend.

DuckBill, you made our Saturday night complete 100%! After a wedding and talking too much to fully fill my stomach, I needed to get a delicious meal to satisfy my cravings. It doesn't matter where you're located in stl and want some late night eats. DuckBill is the move! We arrived around 11, and made our way through Platypus. We ordered our chicken and had the opportunity to choose from the large amount of sauce choices. The bouncer suggested the sweet chili, so that's what we did. We also got a side of ranch, because it's ranch. There's a decent amount of seating and had no issue finding somewhere to sit. The food came out within 10 minutes. This chicken is probably some of the best I've had. It's amazing quality, the batter is so fresh but not too heavy on the chicken. I don't know what they put in this for seasoning but it was literally incredible. Nice and crispy. The fries were fantastic. The seasoning was perfect, not too salty. It's so awesome to be able to walk right next door into Platypus and grab a drink after. It was my first time eating here and definitely won't be my last.

The chef (who I also believe is the owner) killed it with the cuisine! The catchy names for the combined bar and restaurant were super cool with a unique three room vibe. One area is the bar, then the game room with seating and finally some extra tables for when it gets crowded. Literally the wife and myself only had one complaint - having to pay for drinks at the bar and then pay for food at the register...I understand the "why" but still a nuisance and wish there was an easier way.

Amazing food. Perfectly seasoned, especially the fries. I would probably come back for an order of fries. I liked the ranch over the sweet chilli sauce but both were still good.

I am officially in the Eat Duckbill fan club! I had some of their food at an event, but this is the first time I tried it in-house! Eat Duckbill is located I guess *in*, but more attached to the bar Platypus in the Grove! Speaking of Platypus, they have very swanky cocktails. So, be sure to try one or get a mixed drink at the bar while you eat or wait for your food. I ordered pretty much the entire menu, minus the tofu, but the cook gave me a sample of the tofu so I had the entire menu. I LOVED LOVED the Brussel sprouts that are seasoned with agave and their in-house mustard. The roasted cauliflower, fires, and popcorn chicken were also good. They have a number of dipping sauces to choose from. Since I ate the entire menu, I was very much TIRED after eating. It definitely is great bar food and good for any drunken night I am sure as well!

2nd time stopping through here with a few friends as we were hanging out around town. 5 of us in tow, we ordered 2 large popcorn chicken, 1 large Brussel and 1 large cauliflower. Sauce selections, Ranch, Buffalo and Agave Mustard. These snacks hit the spot! We shared everything and we ate it all. The cauliflower and Brussels are amazing and I wish I could get the same effect at home. Chicken is perfectly seasoned with a light breading. Mind you, the awesome cocktails from Platypus, which this place sits inside of, round out the experience of this visit as I washed down everything with a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned. This is a winner!

Conveniently located it the back of Platypus. The chicken is tender, comes on garlic buttered toast and pickles on the side. Plenty of sauces to suit your preference. The brussels are tasty too. The staff is kind and the service is fast and simple ( they buzz you) To the first person to leave them a review, shame on you for starting a small business with 3 star and such a lazy review. Small businesses hate this app because of reviewers like you.

I opted for the bar. Later I did see other guests arrive that were not fancy either, so I felt better. You could be fancy and fit right in, though. Angela was my server at the bar and she was top notch! Giving me time to review the menu but also jumping in to answer questions. I wanted to try a drink and the cocktails look amazing so I will have to come back to try a couple, they had a list of Spirit Free and I went with the Stappi Spritz. It was bright and refreshing with a bit of bitter and I really enjoyed it. So many food options looked good, I took a bit to decide and then went with the Starter of Oeufs et Mayo and would go from there. When it arrived I felt it looked like a dish on a cooking competition show - it was so pretty. Angela indicated a great way to eat it was to get a scoop of everything and put it on the LF grilled bread and that is what I did! So very good! All the flavors went well together, the burst of salty goodness from the trout roe and the grilled bread, fantastic. Even with so many other Plates to try, I will have a hard time not ordering those jammy eggs again. Extras included Crispy Fingerling Potatoes fried with rosemary and served with romesco aioli, they were good and a large enough serving to share. The rosemary is definitely part of the dish but I ordered with the knowledge that I now like rosemary. I also wanted to try the Sage and Fennel Sausage, they were in patty form and the order came with 2 and they were large. It was decent, I wanted more sage and fennel for my taste. Angela set me up with go boxes so I could enjoy my meal again as leftovers! Great food, great service. Can't wait to go back again!

We ordered five small plates and all were very nicely executed. -scallops: While these were good, they were my least favorite of the bunch. They were tender and the sauce was nice, but they were a tad small only came with three. For the price, I thought other dishes were more hearty. -mussels: They were cooked perfectly and had a savory broth that was great to dip the grilled bread in. -Royal trumpet mushrooms: These were recommended by our server and they were great. The combo of the rich soubise with the vinaigrette gave them a good flavor punch. -short ribs: We both loved the sweet and spicy sauce on the short ribs. The short ribs were thinly sliced and tender. Very tasty. -Cavatelli: This was the standout dish of the night for us. The handmade pasta and summer vegetables were so fresh and had such great flavor. Basically summer in a bowl and a generous portion size. We are both big eaters and 5 small plates felt like a good amount with no leftovers to take home. I will say the tables inside are very close together. So much so that I felt like I was in our neighbor's conversation and it was difficult to hear our own conversation. We did have a lovely evening at Little Fox and we would return for a date night or special occasion.

This one does. This restaurant reminds us of what Wright's Tavern pretends to be--and never will be, no matter how much its patrons pretend otherwise. First, you can actually get in here--and you can make a reservation more than 30 days in advance, which is refreshing in itself. There's no favoritism, no cheesy American Express concierge games, and none of the pretentiousness or snobbery that can sometimes come with certain Clayton establishments and their location. Here, the focus is simply on the food, the service, and making guests feel welcome. Second, you don't leave smelling like exhaust and cooking grease the way you do at Wright's. Third, the cuisine is simply better than Wright's and, frankly, better than almost anywhere else in the St. Louis area--including Eleven Eleven. The menu is remarkably unique and original, with a real sense of creativity behind the dishes. And perhaps best of all, you're not sitting six inches from the next table. You can actually have a private conversation without everyone around you hearing every word. This place is a reminder of just how special St. Louis truly is when it comes to dining. The halibut and Caesar salad were both outstanding, the service was exceptional, and everyone here was incredibly warm, welcoming, and down-to-earth. The filet was on par with Citizen Kane's, which is no small achievement. A truly spectacular restaurant. Highly recommended. One important note: this is NOT the place to "stop by" an hour before a sports event or theater show. Dinner here takes some time and should be considered a special evening experience.

We came right on time and were sat immediately. The inside was lively and buzzing. Right after we were sat, our server came to introduce himself and take our drink order. To start, we each go a Caesar salad, we split an order of calamari, and I got the flower power to drink. I was warned before hand that the drink I chose would be an "experience" but that I should enjoy it. An experience would be an understatement. The salad was good and I loved the croutons, although they were a bit tough. The calamari was quite tasty and seasoned well. As for my drink, let's just say I was NOT prepared. The drink itself wasn't the problem but more so the buzz flower that accompanied it. You're supposed to eat the flower first and then drink. It comes with a glass of prosecco as a palate cleanser but I don't feel as though it did much. I'd say that flower kicked in within 15 minutes and ultimately, that's when things took a turn. At first it felt like pop rocks in my mouth and then I started to feel awful. While the chaos was going on, I managed to eat my blackened salmon, which was delicious. The slaw was so-so and I could have done without the beans and rice. All in all, we had a lovely visit aside from the drink. We had an upcoming night out, and wanted to get drinks. We figured we would finally take the plunge and just do both our meals and drinks at Frazer's. I love the neighborhood Frazer's is in. I like the general vibe of the restaurant. In the past we have had good experiences with the drinks. For us on this night the food experience fell very flat. It started with the cheese/tomato soup that I got with my burger. It was flavorless and tasted like water lightly infused with some tomato and cheese flavor. My medium burger was well done. Maybe even a step past well done, and was not edible. My wife's meal was good, but forgettable. The drinks were still good, but the poor food quality was a huge let down. The last part that dampened the mood was where we sat. They have a modest outdoor patio and then seating on the sidewalk along the front. We had put in a reservation for outdoor seating. As we walked up there was one table on the very far side of the sidewalk seating almost into a parking lot. I turned to my wife and said "I hope that isn't us." It was. It was just an awkward spot. It also mean that our server didn't check in with us that much. So overall, great spot for drinks. Really outstanding drinks.
