Everything about this place was AMAZING! Excellent food service and quality! The atmosphere was perfect! I came here for my anniversary and I made the right decision on where to eat! The restaurant even provided a complimentary appetizer for our anniversary! Thank you Polite Society! This won't be my last time coming!

my husband and I went to polite Society for brunch. I definitely recommend having a reservation. It was busy and we were able to sit down right away with our reservation. I really loved the ambience of this restaurant. I got a spicy bloody Mary to drink. It was so delicious. I got a build your own omelette as my main course it was so good and I loved that I could customize it the way I liked it. The portion sizes were great and the service was wonderful. Very excited to come back and try their lunch and dinner menu.

Cool corner spot for brunch - one of the more modern spots I found during my recent STL trip and a beautiful bar space. They have a nice full brunch menu including coffee (no espresso machine) and veggie options like avo toast and potatoes that were quite good and well seasoned. Service was prompt and took good care of us on a rainy day. They offer an option for bottomless mimosas if you're in the mood or even a spicy margarita. We also shared the waffle for our table which was a nice treat. I would return!

Great spot for bottomless mimosas! The food was good, but nothing crazy special. The mimosas are huge and such a good deal. Service was patchy, considering how few tables are upstairs. But a super cute place that I'll have to go back to.

Came because it was in the Yelp top 100. Enjoyed what I got but might need to come again and try some new things. They have a great cocktail menu but we opted for a bottle of wine instead. The waiter was super helpful in helping us pick out a nice red blend. We got the octopus as a starter, which I don't personally love octopus, but my friend thought it was the best in stl. I also got the apple dish, which was listed under the salads but the waiter was sure to explain it's not an actual salad. Since it wasn't a full salad I also got the soup. Both the apple dish and soup were really good. It's street parking but there's lots of spots in the area. The bathroom is super nice with hairspray and mints if needed. Nice place for a good meal.

Have been here many times. And it is good almost every time. This last time service was great, food was good, bloody maria was just ok. Ordered bloody & farmers breakfast, osobucco hash & eggs benedict. Restaurant is in a cool building in Lafayette Square- great brick & tin ceilings, nice wood stairwells etc.

Update: I had brunch at Polite Society, and it was just as good as their dinner! We got a reservation for Saturday morning and walked right in at our time slot. This time we sat upstairs, which is just as cute and quaint as the downstairs part. I ordered the chorizo avocado eggs Benedict which was delicious, and the portions were big so I had leftovers to take home. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and serving it on a biscuit instead of English muffin was a unique twist. Only complaint is I wish they had more coffee options than just drip coffee.

Lovely. Just lovely. From the very knowledgeable wait staff, Andrew, to the carefully curated menu, we thoroughly enjoyed Polite Society. We started with the deviled eggs - flavorful, creamy with a surprising crunch from the fried capers. The lamb meatballs were also delightful - with a balanced sauciness. We shared the St Louis salad, plenty for two. For our main courses, we chose the crispy chicken and bistro steak. Both of which were delicious. The vegetables especially stood out - roasted Brussel sprouts and cooked carrots both were fabulous. Overall, Polite Society surpassed our expectations!

Polite Society was our choice for Sunday Brunch and were pleased with the choice. The bar was nearly full by 10am this Sunday morning with Mimosa's, Bloody Mary's, and wine flowing freely. Both the host and the server, Ragan, greeted us warmly. Service was appropriately paced and each dish was freshly prepared and scrumptious. Polite Society has been added to our repeat list; our next visit will likely be for dinner.

    Butter Pecan French Toast

I had a craving for good french toast so I booked a reservation only to find out they've changed the traditional french toast with berries to a baked butter pecan french toast. The new french toast is more like a sticky bread pudding instead of a french toast. I was disappointed. They added breakfast tacos which were good and made with fresh ingredients! I'd recommend those. I'm sad to see the breakfast burrito leave the menu! The service from Reagan was great and prices are still reasonable.

My son had just gotten home from deployment in Iran. I raised a foodie. I have grown up in St. Louis and my husband and I are well acquainted with the foodie scene in St. Louis. How did we miss this place?! My son is well-traveled and hard to impress. All three of us could not get over how impeccable and delicious everything was. Drinks were top shelf and perfectly balanced. Every entree we had was a dance on the palette of balance, texture, flavor. The ambience was chill, relaxed and upscale without being arrogant. Thank you, Polite Society for making my son's trip home after seeing some horrible things in Iran a slice of earthly heaven. You've gained a life long regular! Can't wait to return!

It has been a long time since we've visited Polite Society, and boy, was I so happy to be visiting again. Service was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The portion size is generous and the flavors were not lacking! I do not think you can go wrong with any menu item however highly consider the mussels and charcuterie board.

Today was my family's and I first time going. The food was soooo good omg. This place has been on my to-do list for so long. I'm so happy I was able to go. The vibes were amazing, it feels really posh, classy and like old money. Our server was wondering, very attentive, never felt rushed or anything. I love polite society, good food, good vibes, nice area.

Does the restaurant have live music?

In response to a similar question posted last year, the owner said that they're not a live music venue.

Are there bottomless mimosa options during weekend brunch? If so, what is the price point?

In my opinion this is not the type of establishment that would have bottomless mimosa. Mostly because the quality of food and drinks are top tier and bottomless is usually cheap liquor that can easily maintain a profit for such offers. But the whole…

    Absolutely!

We have a party of approximately 13 people looking for a brunch place to accommodate us at an event in August. Are you able to accommodate large parties?

I'm sorry we cannot accommodate a party of that size.

Does Polite Society still offer Happy hour?

I don't know what HH is?

Do they offer free brunch on your birthday?

We don't offer free meals, but I'm sure one of your friends would be happy to treat you!

In fact he actually hung out at our table a little too long- we wanted to get on with our conversations. Ha. Anyway I had the avocado toast with an egg on top- it was huge order. And very good. They sprinkle crunchy mix on top of the avocado- seeds mostly and lettuce under it - a great combo of texture and flavor esp with a creamy green sauce with it. It was interesting and visually impressive, although I would say the taste may not be everyone's cup of tea. The Norwegian pancakes were also beautifully presented. They looked very much like crêpes and, to me, tasted very similar to crêpes as well. The coffee was probably one of the more interesting parts of the experience. It was made with Indonesian coffee and green Indonesian spices that gave it a unique color and appearance that reminded me a little of matcha. Definitely something different to try. I initially ordered bacon and eggs, but unfortunately they were out of bacon. What surprised me was that there really wasn't another side available to substitute for it, so I ended up choosing something completely different. I also asked about sampling something before ordering and learned that they do not offer samples. Overall, this is a very visually appealing and unique dining experience with some interesting flavor combinations. I think it's a great place for someone who enjoys trying something a little different, but some of the flavors and menu options may not appeal to everyone.

To start, we each go a Caesar salad, we split an order of calamari, and I got the flower power to drink. I was warned before hand that the drink I chose would be an "experience" but that I should enjoy it. An experience would be an understatement. The salad was good and I loved the croutons, although they were a bit tough. The calamari was quite tasty and seasoned well. As for my drink, let's just say I was NOT prepared. The drink itself wasn't the problem but more so the buzz flower that accompanied it. You're supposed to eat the flower first and then drink. It comes with a glass of prosecco as a palate cleanser but I don't feel as though it did much. I'd say that flower kicked in within 15 minutes and ultimately, that's when things took a turn. At first it felt like pop rocks in my mouth and then I started to feel awful. While the chaos was going on, I managed to eat my blackened salmon, which was delicious. It started with the cheese/tomato soup that I got with my burger. It was flavorless and tasted like water lightly infused with some tomato and cheese flavor. My medium burger was well done. Maybe even a step past well done, and was not edible. My wife's meal was good, but forgettable. The drinks were still good, but the poor food quality was a huge let down. The last part that dampened the mood was where we sat. They have a modest outdoor patio and then seating on the sidewalk along the front. We had put in a reservation for outdoor seating. As we walked up there was one table on the very far side of the sidewalk seating almost into a parking lot. I turned to my wife and said "I hope that isn't us." It was. It was just an awkward spot. It also mean that our server didn't check in with us that much. So overall, great spot for drinks. Really outstanding drinks.
