My wife and I have been to Frazer's many times for drinks. It tends to be the place we go after we have been to dinner somewhere else in the area. We had an upcoming night out, and wanted to get drinks. We figured we would finally take the plunge and just do both our meals and drinks at Frazer's. I love the neighborhood Frazer's is in. I like the general vibe of the restaurant. In the past we have had good experiences with the drinks. For us on this night the food experience fell very flat. It started with the cheese/tomato soup that I got with my burger. It was flavorless and tasted like water lightly infused with some tomato and cheese flavor. My medium burger was well done. Maybe even a step past well done, and was not edible. My wife's meal was good, but forgettable. The drinks were still good, but the poor food quality was a huge let down. The last part that dampened the mood was where we sat. They have a modest outdoor patio and then seating on the sidewalk along the front. We had put in a reservation for outdoor seating. As we walked up there was one table on the very far side of the sidewalk seating almost into a parking lot. I turned to my wife and said "I hope that isn't us." It was. It was just an awkward spot. It also mean that our server didn't check in with us that much. So overall, great spot for drinks. Really outstanding drinks. For the food though, go check out any of the dozen other establishments nearby that are better. read more

This has been on my list for years, so I jumped when my bf said we were going. He made a reservation for 8:45 because he said it's normally packed. We came right on time and were sat immediately. The inside was lively and buzzing. Right after we were sat, our server came to introduce himself and take our drink order. To start, we each go a Caesar salad, we split an order of calamari, and I got the flower power to drink. I was warned before hand that the drink I chose would be an "experience" but that I should enjoy it. An experience would be an understatement. The salad was good and I loved the croutons, although they were a bit tough. The calamari was quite tasty and seasoned well. As for my drink, let's just say I was NOT prepared. The drink itself wasn't the problem but more so the buzz flower that accompanied it. You're supposed to eat the flower first and then drink. It comes with a glass of prosecco as a palate cleanser but I don't feel as though it did much. I'd say that flower kicked in within 15 minutes and ultimately, that's when things took a turn. At first it felt like pop rocks in my mouth and then I started to feel awful. While the chaos was going on, I managed to eat my blackened salmon, which was delicious. The slaw was so-so and I could have done without the beans and rice. All in all, we had a lovely visit aside from the drink. Frazier's was easily one of my favorite spots in St. Louis. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right. They had the windows open, giving that indoor-outdoor feel that I love -- it felt relaxed, inviting, and perfect for a laid-back meal. Now let's talk about the food... because that's what really stood out. We ordered the Louisiana-style barbecue shrimp and the red beans and rice, and both were so flavorful. The shrimp had that rich, buttery, seasoned sauce that you just don't want to leave on the plate, and the red beans and rice were exactly what you want them to be -- comforting, well-seasoned, and done right. I had just come from a night out, so I didn't go too heavy on drinks, but I did order a cocktail and it was really good -- balanced and not overly sweet. Service was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and honestly, everything on the menu looked good. This is definitely one of those places where you already know you need to come back and try more. Came here for girls outing. I had been wanting to try this place for awhile, was so existed to finally come. I heard so many great things about this place. The inside is eclectic and large, plenty of seating and different areas bring out a different vibe. The bar area is large and lively. The atmosphere is inviting and lively. I love their cocktails, very uniquely crafted and fun. The bartenders really know what they are doing. I would highly suggest checking them for their cocktails. The food was extremely disappointing, though visually stunning was lacking significant flavor and seasoning. I ordered the steak frites medium and my steak was over-cooked to well done, the steak was dry and not seasoned at all, even if the steak was suppose to speak for itself, which some steaks do. This steak did not. The french fries were served cold and were just inedible. We ordered the cheese plate for the table and it was nothing spectacularly special. I tried the others ladies entrées and still nothing special, nothing stood out and none of their food was seasoned either. Made last minute reservations for dinner on New Year's Eve. The bar was busy, and the tables were full when we arrived, I had no idea there was an upstairs! We were led to a table for two all the way against the wall, it was a little tight getting in between the next table, the restaurant has a coat rack, but I had not thought I needed to use it, will take advantage next time. I thought it would be uncomfortable in the small space, but it wasn't. There two rows of two top tables in the space we were in. Blane was our server; he was super niche and handling quite a few tables with ease. We ordered drinks, tea for my husband and a Pineapple Head for me, it was delicious! Stiggins Pineapple Rum, almond syrup, fresh lime, pineapple juice, habanero tincture. So good. They had a special New Year's Eve menu. I was glad to see Cioppino, as that was what I had planned to order. I also went with a salad. The salad was simple and good, field greens with carrot, tomato, and red onion tossed with a red wine vinaigrette. Perfect amount of dressing. Cioppino came out in a large, flat bowl and a secondary dish for the shells, a nice touch. 3 or 4 toast points of grilled bread great for dipping in the sauce. Lots of seafood in the dish, the fish was delicious! I will look forward to the leftovers. We had a great experience, the food was good, service on point. read more

Always wanted to try this place and finally did. We made reservations ahead of time and were sat at a table immediately. It was pretty busy, so I'm glad we did. The hostess and the server were very friendly and welcoming. The server was a lot of fun; we enjoyed having him. The cocktails were outstanding. I had the Devil in a Blue Dress, which was soooo good. It took a little bit to get the drinks, but I appreciated the server telling us the bar was a little backed up and he would time the dinner order so we could enjoy the cocktails before dinner came out. I got the beef medallions with mashed potatoes and asparagus; hubby got the shrimp appetizer as his dinner. Everything was plated well, and the beef was absolutely perfect. Everything was delicious. The decor is fun, bathrooms were clean, and there was plenty of indoor seating (it was winter, so no patio seating, boooo). It's a little on the pricey side, but we would definitely return. It wouldn't be an every Friday type of hangout, but we will make an effort to be back in the near future. read more

This place is located in a little neighborhood so street parking can be challenging during peak hours but we usually find a spot. Service is always friendly. They have delicious daily food specials. Ambiance is an in between of dress/casual. They do have a patio for dining and then a couple little outside tables for sitting with drinks if you want! When we ate there I tried their daily fish special (halibut I think?), and my husband had the Louisiana pasta dish! Both were so tasty! Another time we came we tried the steak frites and the steak was NOT good. It was hard as a rock and super fatty. It was even ordered medium and was almost inedible and flavorless. I wouldn't recommend that meal but their specials are typically good. read more

Frazer's has been on my list for a while, and I'm glad I finally made it back in. The ambiance is super cool. The dim lighting, stained glass, and a vibe that feels both lively and relaxed. The dirty martinis & crab cakes were definitely the highlights. The martinis were strong, ice cold, and a fair price of $13 & the crab cakes were fresh and flavorful. A few things kept it from being a full five-star experience though. The meatloaf was a bit dry and the vegetables were surprisingly bland--no seasoning, which was disappointing for a place with such a strong menu reputation. Toward the end of the night after we closed our tab, we asked if we could grab one more drink from our server and immediately close out again. She was very upfront that she didn't want to continue serving us since it was getting close to closing time. We appreciated the honesty, but it did feel a little awkward, especially since the bar area was still full of people. Make sure you arrive early enough so you don't feel rushed out at the end. Also, while watching the bartender make our drinks, I noticed he added ice to the shaker with his bare hands which was a bit off-putting. Overall we did enjoy our night, especially since the dining options were sparse for a Tuesday. I do not think I have ever witnessed a restaurant blend whimsy/experimental with sophisticated/intimate as naturally as Frazer's. Intimate, moody, and elegant, but also playful, social, and damn good eats and sips. The interior has your quintessential dim lights, a beautiful bar, and a bustling crowd. Some folks seated for a nice date night, other crowds standing and socializing with community. I loved the diversity of groups inside. It was fun, sexy, and well executed. Eats and sips? Superb. A wonderful 50/50 martini made its way down my gullet. Temperature is critical with a good martini, and this thing was COLD, superb. The suze celery sour was also a beautiful drink. Herbaceous, but still true to what a sour style should be. The eats were superb. The chorizo dates were a crown favorite. I think my favorite dish was the pork schnitzel. The crust was so perfectly crispy. I am absolutely in love with the sauce. It was so rich, a bit dry, twinge of sweet, and of course packed with umami. In other words? Perfect. Eduardo offered us some phenomenal service. Patient, always available, and paced our meal wonderfully. Plus, he kept our water cups full which is a very underrated, yet critical, aspect to any great dining experience. Frazer's and I very well may be igniting a strong friendship moving forward. Everything I was about to say I can simply just say go to their website www.frazersgoodeats.com for reservations & cocktails. I had the "Devil in the Blue Dress" which was very enjoyable. Loved the cinnamon/apple cider on the nose and initially has a mouthfeel of a cider but has a cool smooth sensation going down the throat. The Entree was the Cioppino. Didn't know what to expect being as I have never had this dish & it being my first time at Frazers. I was fond of the seafood not being overcooked & rubbery. WHICH I WILL SAY, is rare in St. Louis. In my unprofessional opinion! The major players of the dish for me were the shrimp, mussels, the tomato, and enjoyed the broth. For desert we had this absolute BUSSIN Crème Brulee. The ambiance of the place is upbeat, nothing over the top, just a bunch of vibrant beautiful people. Living their best life! 10/10 read more

I recently moved to the neighborhood and I drive by this restaurant often. I finally had the chance to check them out for date night. The ambiance is very rustic chic if that makes sense. Plenty of street parking and a smiling hostess. We were seated at our reservation time and our waiter, Blindi, came over immediately with water and explaining the specials. The menu covers all diets and tastebuds from simple to exquisite. My husband and I chose to go simple and ordered bbq shrimp, steak burger and gyro. All were really yummy! This is a hidden gem that should be found! D lighting with nice vibes playing through the speakers. I recommend sitting in the bar area which seemed more fun and open! Sadly, I will no longer be dining at Frazer's. I live in the neighborhood and for more than ten years, it has been a go to for my family. I loved it but no longer. Last week, I dined there with two friends. The first issue is the cocktail service. I ordered a dirty martini and it was cloudy and had way too much vermouth. The bigger and critical issue is that two in our party became violently ill from a shared dessert-crème broulee. Both missed multiple days of work. When the restaurant was notified, the person responding gave just a curt "thanks for letting us know". Goodbye old friend. read more

We met some friends for dinner at Frazer's to celebrate their anniversary as this is their FAVORITE restaurant! We met early for drinks and sat at the bar (the bar is gorgeous!), it was already quite busy, being 5pm on a Saturday evening, we did have reservations (highly recommended!), and were seated right on time! Frazer's has changed a lot over the years; now it's rather upscale and spendy. The cocktail menu is well-planned and are drinks ($14-$17) were well-balanced. Entrée prices range from $22 for a mixed kebab (one shrimp, one scallop, one cube of tenderloin, plus vegetables) to $45+ for steak and specials. The menu also includes burgers, sandwiches, salads and more at lower price points. Portions were appropriate: just enough for a good dinner, perhaps with room for dessert. We shared a crabcake appetizer, then I had the kebab and my companion had the Moroccan tilapia. It was just enough to leave us full. Each element of the kebab was cooked just enough, which must be tricky to get right. We had reservations for our Friday night dinner; the place was fairly busy and we were seated upstairs. Downstairs seems to have more character, but was also louder. In all, it was a nice dinner for a special occasion, though the cocktail and entrée prices seemed a bit more than other local spots of similar caliber. read more

We had dinner here on July 3rd. We have been long time patrons and having to give 3 stars is hard. Maybe it was an off night but this is our experience. We started with the bacon wrapped dates and they were amazing. I highly recommend. It took quite sometime for our drinks to come out from the bar. It was myself, my husband and another couple. Our drinks took about 30 minutes. My husband has the steak special and it came out lukewarm almost cold. My friend had the beet salad and there were only 2 small pieces of beet in the salad. I had the bacon turkey wrap and sadly there was so much mayo I only half because I was starving. We didn't send the food back because they were so busy. We simply didn't have time for it to be made right. Our server was amazing. And the atmosphere is always a buzz. I hope this was just a bad night. read more

Fraser's is one of my favorite places to go to Eat. Last night we just stopped by for a drink with some friends who hadn't been before. Fraser's has what they call "experience drinks" in addiction to a great selection of regular drinks. I tried the "who goes there" for the first time. It involves someone bringing out your drink wearing a cloak and banging a stick while saying who goes there? The drink is run based and served in a lantern with a smoke effect. It's quite the production and fun to watch. You definitely get your moneys worth in alcohol. It's strong! The flower power is another fun drink that's too hard to describe but so good. Don't let the prices sway your decision. You probably won't want more than one or two but they are pricey. Try the goat cheese salad. It's my favorite. It's a fun place with great vibe! read more

What a vibe! This the spotttt for great cocktails, great eats, but a super chill/ laid back atmosphere. The first thing that caught my attention as walked up were the windows! They were open and welcoming the warm air, giving it that free flow vibe. We decided to sit inside, and were seated at a table for four. Our sever was extremely attentive, and helped me pick a cocktail. I love a drink with a little spice, so he helped me decide on the James and the Spicy Peach: Serrano pepper mezcal, genepy des alpes, peach liqueur, fresh lemon. It was truly perfect and exactly what I was wanting. It wasn't sweet and gave a spicy smoky punch. We also ordered the "who goes there" which is quite the package- someone comes with your drink in a lantern, it's smoky, and they're wearing a cloak. Here for it. To eat, we ordered bbq shrimp and zucchini rolls for apps, and then I ordered the goat cheese salad and fries for my meal. I loved the zucchini rolls with the feta- delicious! My goat cheese salad was incredible. A breaded, deep fried goat cheese patty comes on top of the salad. It's to die for. So happy to have finally made it here and I can't wait to return for another delicious cocktail! read more

We came here for my bday dinner and everything was perfect! We had cocktails at the bar and sat on the patio. All our food was incredible! We got the carpaccio, Caesar salad, and a mushroom app that was a variety of mushrooms in phyllo dough, mushroom strudel (one of the best apps we've ever had). My boyfriend even mentioned he would order 2 of those as his meal. He got the pasta special, he got parm encrusted chicken on top the fra diavolo pasta. I got the breaded and baked halibut with the lemon caper sauce. Cocktails were interesting and a nice change from your basics. 10/10! read more

I would have given 4.5 stars, but that's not an option! One of our daughters treated us to dinner at Frazer's on a Friday night. She had been there before, but the rest of us had not. We had a reservation and arrived on time. The hostess started to seat us outside and my daughter said we'd like to be inside. After the hostess spent less than 20 seconds seeing how long a wait might be for inside seating, she said everyone just got their food so it would be a long wait. My daughter wasn't thrilled as she feels the interior vibe adds to the experience. So we went out to the patio which overlooks a parking lot. That was a bit nicer than the tables on the sidewalk right up against the street. It took a few minutes for a server to come to our table. She was an okay server, but could have been more attentive. The food and cocktails are what earned the stars! I wish I would have taken photos of all of our drinks and food because (almost) everything was so good! One person for the Steak Frites and the steak was fatty and grizzly. That was the only misstep from the kitchen. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

Gorgeously decorated, the interior of the restaurant is an eclectic mix nearing city museum meets French bar. Our appetizer, barbecue Nola shrimp, and our entrees, both seafood, were very underwhelming and under-seasoned. The servers were excellent, kind and attentive. Kitchen recipes need revamping for the price point. Likely, we will not be going back in the future unless it's meeting up with friends for cocktails. read more

Trying to park is tricky. There is a large parking lot next to it but it's for a different business and clearly marked so find street parking or Uber. We arrived at 5:00and the place had a few people. By 5:15 I swear they were wall to wall. Every table, booth inside and out were packed and I know why.... because the food is delicious. Trying to pick something was like trying to pick a favorite star in the heavens. Our waiter Blendy was very knowledgeable, and prompt with our food. We ordered two separate appetizers. We ordered the zucchini rolls as our first appetizer. I've always wanted to see other options available for zucchini and this was very smart thenly sliced zucchini stuffed with some delicious feta cheese and herbs. It was a cold dish but they were refreshing and light to start. The mushroom strudel on the special list was out of this world. A dense mushroom with a fluffy pastry. It was a warm and melted in your mouth. I had the pork Schnitzel my friend had meatloaf platter. Both were done to perfection. I ate my entire plate. Wish I hadn't so I could have had desert lol. My friend had the garden Cosmo and she loved it. They even had a round ice cube, I had the homemade limoncello as my drink. This restaurant hit on all of our taste bud senses. Came for some cocktails with friends. Very pretty atmosphere, quite dark inside but a lot of windows were opened to add some light. Pretty touches of decor throughout the place. Pretty loud inside - not from music, just from acoustics and lots of diners talking at once. We sat outside so we didn't need to raise our voices to talk. The outside patio was cute and in the shade. Service was fine, I think we were forgotten for awhile but otherwise no issues. The cocktails were expensive, but very good and they had a lot of options from sweet to strong. Always start with the oysters & BBQ shrimp. YOU MUST GET THE SHRIMP! If any allergies there, the cheese plate is always reliable. The Salmon Frazier and the Filet Mignon are two dishes that I would definitely recommend. Yummy salmon presented with a fantastic sauce. a juicy, tender steak prepared to your liking, served with delectable mashed potatoes & vegetables.
