We are Back for another Take out thursday this time hitting the new syracuse sensation: Over the…read moreCuse Deli To back up for a minute, I'm an NYC native being born there and spending at least 4 adult years eating and experiencing food there. My favorite dish was always gyros over rice with cut up pita and salad from the streetcarts. Fastforward to now. In Upstate NY it is hard to find Gyros or meat over rice as good as the city...until today. I took one bite and had flashbacks. The chicken is seasoned with a blend of the middle east and Mediterranean. The steak was coated with white sauce, garlic sauce, and hummus. And the salad was panopley of options. Even a little toasted pita to remind of the gyros. Very filling. I will get multiple meals out of this and I will be back to try more!

I placed the order again and this time my dinner came without the cheesecake. I call back again and ask to speak to the manager and he tells me I have to email their HR department to get it all sorted out. He treated it like it was all a joke. I email them and they said I was Refunded for the first meal completely which I'm Still waiting for all these to process and that they're going to refund me for the second cheesecake. So I get hit with delivery fees and processing fees. I used to eat out here weekly but after this I'm sorry but I can't support someone who is going to mess my Order up twice I got hit with all these fees and there isn't anything they did to make the situation right and I've never had to email an HR department for a company I didn't work for. Also the second time I had to call the manager told me that I had to send an email about the missing desert and when I asked him to take care of it himself he couldn't comprehend the fact that I shouldn't have to contact them when they messed my order up twice it's disappointing that a place that I enjoyed eating at could care less that they made these mistakes.

WOW! HUGE, FRESH SANDWICHES AT A GREAT PRICE!…read more We stopped by this Byrne Dairy after a concert at St. Joseph's Lakeview Amphitheater (Counting Crows!). This Byrne Dairy is just down the hill from the concert venue at a fairgrounds entrance. It was busy with the post-concert crowd, and short-staffed, but nonetheless the late-night workers kept the line moving well. We don't have Byrne Dairy at home, and stopped in with getting some grab-and-go gas station typical eats in mind. But we were pleasantly surprised to see deli ordering options. We ordered a couple of large sandwiches. They ended up not being large sandwiches--but rather HUGE SANDWICHES! The large is essentially two standard size sandwiches PACKED with tons of fresh fillings! And they were not only abundant in size, but also abundantly fresh and delicious! My husband had a roast beef and pastrami sandwich. The meat was sliced thin and PILED HIGH! I had egg salad, which was also generously scooped. Our sandwich artist was FANTASTIC--she took the time to construct the sandwich with our custom topping picks in an entirely purposeful way that helped keep the behemoth-bulk of this mega-meal intact. We brought our sandwiches back to our room, and were thoroughly STUFFED! I could only finish half, saved the other half for breakfast. My husband wolfed his whole monster, exclaiming it was one of the best sandwiches he's ever had. Sometimes the great sandwiches of our lives come from unexpected places--like this Byrne Dairy! If you have a hankering for a superb sandwich at a STELLAR DEAL (just $9.49 per MASSIVE large sandwich!), look no further! :-O :-D

Lunchtime is busy here, but as you stand on a pretty long line you realize it's going quickly…read morebecause they are doing a great job. They had about 5-6 choices of soup. My friend had the NE Clam Chowder, and she said it was very good. Our sandwiches had a good amount of meat and the bread was very fresh. I had Bazooka Pete....Corned beef, Pastrami and Turkey with lettuce, tomato, onion and Swiss. It was a real nice mix. The employees were very friendly and the dining room was very clean.

Appears there is no way to email corporate, so I'll state my complaint here and hope they read it…read more Ordered the Clam Chowder soup today and wow - it tastes like a salt lick to the point of being unhealthy. I'm betting there was over 2,000mg of salt in that one quart container. The name of the soup is "Clam Chowder" but where are the clams? All we got were tiny specs of what may have been clam pieces but not big enough to taste. If the soup was made with cream, I would be surprised. My guess is the base was a rue made from flour, water and some sort of oil. Could have been butter but could not find any ingredients listing. Hate being so negative about the soup but salt is supposed to enhance flavors - not be the main ingredient. If this is an award winning soup - someone better taste it again at the Liverpool location. Corporate evidently doesn't want any feedback since their website lacks any email addresses or complaint / suggestion forms.
