I RARELY do reviews because I try to see the best in people and business but... definitely need to train their employees to let the people ordering at the drive thru finish saying their order! I was trying to relate my order and the young guy was already jumping to the next question. Also, the cheeseburger I ordered looked and tasted like it was DRENCHED in thousand Island and It was so overbearing that it was all I tasted. Also,usually Charbroiled Burger Joints use sesame seed buns and not brioche and actually lettuce rather than dark green romaine. What is up!? The fries were transparent yellow and soggy from all the oil. All i tasted was reusable oil. Mind you, I came on a Friday at 5pm. Why is the food quality bad? Also, for a side of buffalo sauce 1.25$? Finally writing a review on Fantastic after coming 10+ times. The place is the model of consistency from breakfast burritos, to burgers, to fried foods, to shakes, down to the ranch. The place had a remodel and I missed it for a while but they created an awesome space to come in and eat. They served through the drive thru during those months and never skipped a beat. Absolutely love Fantastic since I was a kid growing up in South Bay and frequented their original locations in Lawndale and Torrance. I was so glad to see they expanded out to Orange County. My memories are of the family always being great with kids from the local high school and the service was always nice and straight forward even when kids were rude. My husband and I have come here at least twice a month since it switched from John's Place. So many things were great in the beginning. Now the menus items are constantly changing and not for the better. Plus the attendants at the drive through too busy trying to upsale you than actually listen to your orders makes the experiences not worth it when the food goes down hill too. Our last straw was our last two orders. We have gotten the Breakfast Bowl in the past and love it as a hearty meal. We have appreciated their gravy on top of hash browns and scrambled eggs, but now their gravy tastes more like sour cream with pepper in it making it almost inedible. Then this morning we went with their Chorizo breakfast burritos, which are typically so filling we save the second half for lunch later on in the week. For the first time I got green salsa on the side to try something new. My first bite with a little salsa made me think I didn't like their salsa. It had a roasted flavor but seemed to have an Asian seasoning. I tried a few more bites, but ultimately decided I couldn't do such an odd salsa flavor. The my husband ate the burrito and said the strange flavor was not the salsa but the burrito itself. Eating a few more bites of the chorizo made me realize the Asian seasoning I was tasting was the burrito. Not sure how it all happened or why a change was made, but the burrito was inedible to us. Neither of us finished more than 1/3. It's a disappointing end to what used to be an enjoyable standard breakfast joint. read more

We are totally hooked on their breakfast burritos! We keep coming back and can't order anything else but it all looks yummy! Their burritos are stuffed with scrambled egg, your choice of protein ( hubby goes for bacon but I go vegetarian and get avocado with a small up charge), hash browns (you gotta ask for them or you'll end up with tater tots), cheese and I always get their salsa on the side. Last visit they said they have green or red salsa- both are very good and medium spicy. The other aspect here is the staff- they are exceptional! They always greet you when you come in and are always professional but personable. Excellent staff- they pay attention and get every order spot on- they have indoor or outdoor dining but we stay inside. It's kept very clean! This place used to be good when they first opened. I don't know what has changed but there food ended up in the trash after 2 or 3 bites the last 2 times my wife and I ate there. We ordered there bacon breakfast bowls last week and they tasted like they put sour cream on them instead of gravy. We ordered chorizo breakfast burritos today and the chorizo tasted like potpourri. He said the gravy was made previously not the day of so since it was early in the morning, it takes time for the gravy to heat up. So I told him they need to let the customers know and they should not serve cold clumpy gravy. No refund not even a gift certificate to make it right, not even a phone call from the manager. I upgraded my burger to the fantastic burger which came out to ~$20 and everything hit. Burger was packed bacon, avocado and cheese and was super flavorful but not overly salty like you'd expect with a burger. Fries, chicken tenders and the special sauce were also great. Woweeeee!!! We've been searching for a quality "Mom & Pops" burger place in the Irvine/Tustin area and have finally found our go-to spot! We are super pumped about Eat Fantastic! There's been some up and down reviews about this place, mainly during their remodel, but now that they are up and running, it's amazing! Walking in, they did a great job with the design, it's super modern with some cool artwork. We were immediately greeted with a big smile by Ciara who was happy to talk about the menu and gave recommendations. She was super patient with us while she also told us about her favorite items. We ended up with: 2 plain cheeseburgers with burger sauce, zucchini fries, maui burger, fries and 4pc chicken tenders. We had to sauce it down and got ranch, fan and honey chipotle for dipping. We also added their fresh squeezed lemonade! Everything was super fresh and they clearly use top quality ingredients! Even the chicken tenders and zucchini fries were freshly breaded and fried. I didn't have the greatest experience with the food at the Monrovia location, so I thought maybe a change of venue would convince me better. Unfortunately, I was wrong. For $15, I was quite disappointed with my order. Yes, everything is made fresh and the servers were quite friendly and patient, but the food that I got was not worth it. I got their GOAT combo with fries and a drink. The fries were standard thick cut fries with no seasoning and barely any salt. A bit sytrofoamy on the inside and quite bland unless you dipped them in ketchup. At the very least they were piping hot. Their GOAT burger is a double cheese burger with double the amount of Colby Jack cheese with grilled onions, mustard and their spread on a gourmet bun. Yes, it's a nice looking burger and it is a bit messy, but it was so so disappointing. My first thoughts biting into it was that it was IMMENSELY SALTY. The patties themselves were seasoned to be quite salty and this didn't get mitigated by the sweetness of the grilled onions or the sourness of the mustard, it was just an overwhelming mouthful of salty meat. I sadly couldn't even make it through half of the burger before getting queasy of it and already downing all of my soda to balance out my salt intake. I would have rated higher if I could finish my order, but I just couldn't and with this recent experience, I think I'm going to wait quite awhile before I give Eat Fantastic another chance, regardless of location. read more

I had to come here after hearing about their lunch box deal. Parking lot is small but it wasn't busy when I went so not a problem at all. They also have a drive thru if you want to get food quick. The inside is clean, quaint, and feels similar to an old timey diner. Good vibes all around. Service was quick and easy. I got the $12 lunch box deal which includes a hamburger, two tenders, fries, and a cookie. Hamburger came with grilled onions, which I love. It was flavorful, solid burger. I really enjoyed the tenders, you can get them regular or spicy so I opted for spicy. I wish it was spicier, but the chicken itself was tasty and the sauce was on point as well. The fries are decent and they give you a sizable portion of them. The cookie was smaller than I thought it'd be, about the same as a chips ahoy cookie. Can't complain too much for how good of a deal it is. Really solid deal with a good selection. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

First time coming here. Just wanted to eat something for breakfast so decided to give this place a try. The place is clean and not too crowded when we came in on an early Saturday afternoon. I decided to try the sunrise sandwich that comes with your choice of meat, lettuce, mayo, egg and tomatoes. I went with sausage. My friend got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and added sour cream(sour cream was additional cost). The sandwich lacked flavor. It was bland and don't think the tomato made it any better. The sandwich didn't come with any sides or drink so it seemed overpriced. The burrito was large and tasty. My friend thought it was too soggy because of the sour cream but I actually liked it. Wish the sandwich came with cheese or had a special sauce. I think a side of fries or hashbrown would have made this item better. This is just my opinion on the breakfast foods I tried. Decent burger joint! I would compare this place to Farmer Boys, because they burgers are similar. It's not good or bad. But a mediocre burger. I'd say In N Out beats this place any day. The French Fries were not great either. They were the thick ones and not cooked enough. Soggy fries with no salt aren't my thing. Mc Donald's French Fries are much better, in my opinion. The fries were a miss for me. My fiancé enjoyed the burgers. He had 2 of the Goat burgers and loved those. We have also ordered breakfast burritos here too. Now those bad boys are delicious! You get a pretty good-sized burrito, stuffed completely with ingredients. Egg, cheese and hashbrown burrito for me! All day, every day lol It is super filling and satisfying. So, there you have it. I prefer the breakfast items, and my fiancé prefers the burgers. But he did also enjoy the burritos. I like that they have it all here and the menu is pretty big. I can be frank when I say we only ate here because I was making a u-turn on Prospect Ave and saw the word EAT. I completed my turn and jumped on Google to see what restaurants were in the area. I identified this as a family friendly location so we got in on it.. It was empty on this specific Wednesday afternoon so the service was all ours.. The chicks working the register were both very friendly. Given the decently large order they took, no complaints here! They recited it back perfectly, and the food was delivered in a manner as expected. For me, oddly enough the highlight of the meal was the breakfast bowl with sausage. While it wasn't anything that couldn't be replicated at home easily, it was a decent surprise for me. Minus the amount of hash browns at the bottom, it was packed with great flavor. It may have been the house gravy mixed in with everything that made me feel good about it.. The burgers were decent, the grilled cheese was top notch with flavor for the simple sandwich. The breaded chicken strips had a charred exterior but were still decently moist inside.. They are super friendly and helpful at this location. Order at the counter but then they bring the food to your table if dining in. The drive thru is also popular. We went to Eat Fantastic for breakfast on a Sunday in Tustin. This is an unassuming little fast food joints on the corner couple blocks away from Old Town Tustin. We had considered going to one of the local bakeries, but the lines were crazy. We were starving and decided to give this place a try. Eat Fantastic has a small dine in area inside as well as outside patio with covered umbrellas and a drive-through. There are three large TVs inside with sports playing during the seasons as well as beer on tap and some shareable food items like pastrami fries. They definitely cater to high-end fast food service. We saw people eating lunch while we were eating breakfast and lunch looked delicious as well with big thick crispy fried chicken cutlets and burgers and shakes. Since we were there for breakfast, we had waffles, pancakes, and a croissant sandwich with added bacon. Everything was really well prepared. The eggs were fresh and amazing, the bacon was thick cut and cooked perfectly. The croissant was excellent and not at all like a Burger King style bread type. They made orange juice fresh from a juicer right in front of us and service was phenomenal and attentive and polite. Pricing lean towards high-end fast food with three breakfast meals and two orange juices coming in at $43. Overall, I think we found a gem for breakfast, lunch, and Quick cheap dinner in Tustin. read more

This was our first time enjoying EF inside the new dining area. It's been a go-to favorite even when it was drive thru only. The inside was super cute, modern diner vibes, with a Kobe mural. Typically I order the breakfast burrito and fries then split it (the portions are great). Today when ordering inside, I noticed they have a secret menu *love* and ordered the chicken and waffles off of there. It was delicious! The tenders are well-battered and the waffle was fluffy, just a great flavor combo overall and it's definitely a new favorite. One of the best burger and fry combos in town. Thick juicy handmade fresh beef patty on an equally fresh and soft bun. Hot, fresh and perfectly cooked french fries crispy on the outside and potatoey on the inside that are expertly seasoned and stand up to the many house made dipping sauces that are never watered down. Fast and friendly service, a clean restroom, and lots of parking. If you have a larger SUV, I highly recommend parking and going inside because the drive-through chokes really tight. read more
