    Pream P.R.E.A.M. Bowl

I gave Postino Park Place in Irvine 3 stars. The location itself is a really nice, clean, and modern restaurant with a great vibe, but the overall experience was definitely a mixed bag. We ordered a bunch of bruschetta to share for the table, and while they were good, they were honestly lacking that real "wow" factor. For my main, I ordered the P.R.E.A.M. bowl and found it to be quite mediocre. It was pretty plain overall, and all of the vegetables inside were extremely undercooked. While the food was average, the service was pretty much zero stars. It was extremely spotty throughout the entire meal, our drinks were never refilled, and to make matters worse, they actually charged us for coffee that never showed up at our table. It's a lovely space with decent light bites, but the food execution fell short and the severe service issues really dragged down the experience.

Great place to hang out with friends. Decent cocktails. Lots of beers and wines. It's loud in the patio so our party had to talk loudly. Service was good considering our party kept growing. We ordered a few shareables: Herbed French Fries - a must! So good. Crispy Cauliflower - not really crispy. It's more "roasted" and seasoned. Felt like it wasn't cooked long enough. Roasted Mushroom Fondue - creamy and delicious but watch out! It's got a kick to it!! Soup of the Moment was a tomato based soup with tortellini. Pretty good but also spicy. Caesar Salad with Salmon - not bad. I thought it was going to be a roasted piece of fish but it was more like a dollop of smoked salmon. I wish there was more salmon. For a cocktail, I tried the Violet Femme. Good but a little too sweet for me. Service started out good in the beginning but then dwindled down toward the end.

Came here for the first time on a Monday evening, as I was invited by a friend. Have heard of this place before and was excited to try it! The ambiance is dark, but classy, though at times it was a bit difficult to read the menu due to the mood lighting. The service was super quick, especially as I think it was a Monday, and our waiter was very nice! As for the food, on Mondays and Tuesdays (I believe) you can grab a bottle of wine and get a bruschetta for the low low price of $30! I split one of those with a friend and also tried their tuscano soup and the italian beef dip as well. The bruschetta that we chose: - Brie, apple, fig - pretty good! - Fresh Mozzarella, tomato, and basil - not usually a fan of tomato but this one was really good - sweet n' spicy pepper jam and goat cheese - loved the flavor combo - prosciutto di parma, fig and mascarpone - by far my favorite I like sweet wines, so I recommend the moscato and the Riesling for those who have similar tastes!

Honestly one of the hidden gem I got to visit! Their bruschetta board is definitely worth a try! My favorite woukd be the salmon and the mushroom, it was DELICIOUSSSS. Their soups of the moment were also very good. Customer service is great, be aware it was a bit busy so it did take a bit for us to get greeted

Amazing bar food and drinks. Great for large parties. They capable of splitting individual checks for large parties. Service is phenomenal and ambiance is festive and lively! Portions are huge so be frugal in your choices when ordering more than one item for yourself. I loved their bruschetta selection! It was very extensive! Their watermelon spritzer was very refreshing! Herb fries were delicious, cheese board is amazing!

Service and food is great! I was told the bruschetta board is their most popular dish so I tried some different styles/flavors and they did not disappoint!!! The apple one is the star, the sweet and spicy goat cheese was amazing, the chefs choice (pear & something I can't remember) was phenomenal, and the prosciutto - how can you even go wrong with prosciutto? Also, didn't really try their drinks other than cucumber honey lemonade, but man was it good. My only complaint is that the music drowns out conversation so you have to talk loudly. Definitely not stopping me from coming back though!

After two busy days exploring Disneyland and waiting in long lines at Downtown Disney restaurants, we opted to have dinner elsewhere. Since we were staying in a lovely area of Irvine, we discovered this spot. The wall adorned with vintage radios (possibly from the '80s and '90s) was especially cool, and I really enjoyed their playlist! Our delicious dinner turned out to be the perfect way to end our trip. We chose to share a variety of dishes from the "Snacky Things" and "Boards" sections of the menu: Meatballs, Goat, & Cheese - wonderfully flavorful, robust with garlic and herbs, rich yet not too heavy. OMG Grilled Cheese - Incredibly cheesy and decadent, far beyond a simple, crispy grilled cheese. Steak and Chicken Skewers - Tender, juicy meat served with a zesty, bright Sicilian garlic yogurt. Sweet Potato Wedges - While I usually prefer them fried, these baked wedges were well-seasoned and still delicious. Bruschetta Sampler (unfortunately, my photo turned out blurry, so I deleted it!) Though it's no longer on their menu, this was our favorite dish. We sampled several bruschetta boards: Brie, Apple, and Fig Spread (our top pick); Ricotta, Dates & Pistachio (runner-up); Prosciutto Di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone (third place); and Smoked Salmon & Pesto (still delicious!). I especially loved how they divided each bruschetta into fourths so everyone could try them. It was a wonderful final dinner in Irvine before heading home. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly, and the food arrived quickly. She even complimented my daughter's Disneyland sweater, sparking a sweet conversation about Guardians of the Galaxy. I wish I had caught her name.

Such a cute wine bar with a great happy hour! $28 for a bottle is a steal! My friend and I got the fries, olives, and a bruschetta board and everything was excellent! I especially loved the burrata, bacon, arugula, and tomato one but all of them were really yummy and paired well with the wines. Luis and Alejandro were our servers and they were attentive but gave us our space to yap. They checked in when they noticed we were low on drinks or food and were super welcoming and friendly overall. Postino has a great outdoor patio summer vibe to just hang out for a few hours, have some wine, and bask in the warmth of the sun. Parking is also a hassle in this plaza but it's big enough that if you drive around a few times, you'll find something.

Parking can be difficult since they share a lot with a lot of other businesses. Get there early to find a spot. Make a reservation to avoid a wait. Plenty of options inside and outside. They have umbrellas when it's sunny and heaters when it's cold. Their bruschetta boards are my go to item. You can pick 4 different ones on your board for around $20. They cut each slice of bread into 4 strips. The OMG Grilled Cheese was not as cheesy as I hoped it would be. However the tomato soup is delicious. While I'm glad we tried it, we probably wouldn't order this again.

Came here on a weekend around 1pm and was seated quickly! Service was great, we have Benjamin, who was super quick and friendly (if you need any suggestions, he's your guy). Love that they have $7 wine everyday before 5pm. Great place for a girl dinner, with their wine promo and shareable bruschetta and boards. They're currently running a special Battle of the Bruschetta where they feature 2 different bruschettas and you can vote for your fav. Ambiance is chill and they also have the World Cup games playing at the bar.

LOVE their happy hour! Especially the $25-30 deal where you get a bruschetta board and a bottle of wine. The service was great. Our server checked in on us often. I recommend this place for small bites and happy hour drinks!

The food was delicious! The service was great! Our waitress comp'd a Crispy cauliflower because it was our first time, and that dish was incredibly well balanced. Romesco sauce was savory and the caper/ raisin topping was the perfect pairing to go with the cauliflower! Highly recommended! On top of that we enjoyed a flight of different toasts. Each one was individually great and paired well with our wine. Postino's outdoor patio combined with good eats and wine was a great lunch vibe! We will be returning! See y'all there!

Recent patio experience on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. was not that great. One server didn't stay with us the whole time, so messages were getting miscommunicated within the trio of waiters. The first guy was nice, easy going, and knew his stuff. However, the two other guys looked annoyed that we weren't leaving fast enough because it looked like they were getting the patio tables ready for something as they were putting down the reserved markers on the tables. Well, they didn't tell us before hand, so I'm not sure what they wanted us to do. I made a reservation in advance and put down "birthday" as the special occasion we were celebrating. They did absolutely nothing for the celebration, so I'm at a loss as to why they even ask when I made the reservation. My friend who is vegetarian wanted to sub meat on the sandwich for avocado, and he said they can't do that. That's crazy to me. He said different meats can be substituted but not avocado replaced for a meat. I hope they change that "rule" soon. Not sure why any person would pay full price for a meal when the expensive part of the dish is taken out and can't be substituted. The only saving grace at this place were the donut holes. Those are phenomenal and the only reason I added any stars to this restaurant. If I return, it's going to be to take the donuts home as a to-go order. My tuna sandwich was extremely fishy and even tasted like there was bacon fat used in it instead of mayo. The potato leek soup was not good. It was watery and had the leeks extremely limp and overly cooked. I pictured a thicker soup when it mentioned potato--nope. It was a watery mess of a concoction. I think the expression on my face must have been very disdainful because it was nothing like I pictured. The patio faces a parking lot that is partly under construction. The service is what messed up this experience for me.

Mostly sandwiches. No cooked meals. I was hoping to get a nice pasta. Not a great selection.

Is there a corkage fee? Thank you!

No, there's no corkage fee if you open a bottle while dining and cork it to go!

    Is it decorated for Christmas?

Hi Christi we don't have any Christmas decor but we do have a cozy, seasonal vibe that's perfect for a board of bruschetta and a glass of wine.

Is it warm? If its going to be raining outside..

When I had dinner there in November, they had heaters outdoor and people seemed comfortable.

Do they have a happy hour?

    No there isn't

Do they play 90's music in general or 90's hip hop?

They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.

It is a tiki bar after all and unless they follow the rules of Arrested Development then let them chill at home with grandma and grandpa or maybe their weird Uncle Joe. Drink- Delightful. Very fun themed glassware. Presentations were beautiful and well thought out. Our server did a great job at recommending drinks that built on top of the previous one. Food- the weakest part of the experience. While certainly not bad however when compared to the rest of the experience it just was a bit lacking. The Loco Moco looked very nice. The patty was quite dry though. Yes there's gravy but that's not an excuse for a dry patty. Mac salad was very nice. Stowaway fries were fun and tasty. But now let's get to the food! FOOD Short Ribs Croquettes (Appetizer) These were delightful. Not only cute and presentable but the flavors were delicious, a perfect combination of everything! Especially the aji amarillo aioli. Don't be shy when taking a scoop of the aioli, be sure to give the croquettes a nice drench of it! Highly recommend! Sea Bass Crudo (Appetizer) Presentation may seem a bit flat but I promise you it's packed with flavor! Prepared with citrus ponzu, serrano and garlic chili crunch, the Sea Bass Crudo is definitely refreshing with a bit of a kick! Looking for a shareable seafood type appetizer? Then you should absolutely try this out! Streak Frites This one felt like it would be a nice balanced healthy lunch. Marinated steak with bourbon peppercorn sauce sitting on a bed of fries featuring a nice portion of salad. Had the steak cooked medium and it was just perfect. I wouldn't mind ordering this dish again! Work nearby and want a balance of everything? Then this is the dish for you! Braised Short Rib Probably my favorite one. Meat easily melts in every bite. Paired with those whipped potatoes beneath? Forget it! It may seem like a small dish but it gets filling pretty quick. I think this is another dish I'll be ordering the next time we visit! Peach Butter Cake (Dessert) I seem to have found myself in trouble when taking that first initial bite because I couldn't stop myself indulging its rich flavor! I was already full at this point but this was too damn delicious. It's got the same concept of a pizookie and I'm a sucker for this type of dessert! Love pizookies? Peach jam? Then you should get this! Guarantee you'll have it all to yourself! OVERALL Actually glad we were able to try this place out as I just stumbled upon it a couple months before. Great establishment for dates, small hangouts, big parties or an after work dinner. Spacious interior with comfy seatings and a modern look to the place. Oh and don't forget to get your parking ticket validated! Special thanks to the team and for the GM Chris Teng for checking up on us from time to time to ensure we were enjoying our experience. Definitely will be coming back!

We tried the crab cake Benedict, lobster & shrimp roll, and chicken & waffles. All were good but not very memorable in flavor. The drinks menu consists of alcoholic beverages and mocktails. Wish they had a bigger selection of caffeinated drinks for a brunch place. Overall a good choice for brunch with family and friends.

I found the cocktail to be slightly too sweet for my taste, but it was still very good (fragrant and well-balanced). The short ribs were tender and soft, cooked in a perfectly savory sauce with a hint of sweetness, and served over smooth mashed potatoes. The steak was also cooked and seasoned well. We all loved the maple pecan Brussels sprouts. I often find this dish to be overly oily or sweet, but this one was done very well. The Brussels sprouts were well-seasoned with the perfect hint of sweetness and cooked perfectly, not too soft or too crunchy. I will say that the restaurant's lighting was excessively dark. I don't mind dim lighting for ambiance, but it was so dark that I had to lean in close to my food and squint to see it clearly, which felt a bit excessive. Additionally, the green beans were slightly too old and fibrous, although they were cooked well. This was a shame because if they had used younger, fresher green beans, it would have elevated the dish and paired much better with the well-prepared meat. Overall great experience and would definitely come back! :)

When I said "Bar" and "Santa Ana" in the Yelp search - of course it said "Club 616" in the first…read morespot - OF COURSE IT SAID 616!!! I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. Thank you to Christina and Brandon for always having amazing pictures, decor, and fun events at 616 that help introduce new folks into this great spot. Time is short. Learn about Root Beer Whiskey.
