Recent patio experience on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. was not that great. One server didn't stay with us the whole time, so messages were getting miscommunicated within the trio of waiters. The first guy was nice, easy going, and knew his stuff. However, the two other guys looked annoyed that we weren't leaving fast enough because it looked like they were getting the patio tables ready for something as they were putting down the reserved markers on the tables. Well, they didn't tell us before hand, so I'm not sure what they wanted us to do. I made a reservation in advance and put down "birthday" as the special occasion we were celebrating. They did absolutely nothing for the celebration, so I'm at a loss as to why they even ask when I made the reservation. My friend who is vegetarian wanted to sub meat on the sandwich for avocado, and he said they can't do that. That's crazy to me. He said different meats can be substituted but not avocado replaced for a meat. I hope they change that "rule" soon. Not sure why any person would pay full price for a meal when the expensive part of the dish is taken out and can't be substituted. The only saving grace at this place were the donut holes. Those are phenomenal and the only reason I added any stars to this restaurant. If I return, it's going to be to take the donuts home as a to-go order. My tuna sandwich was extremely fishy and even tasted like there was bacon fat used in it instead of mayo. The potato leek soup was not good. It was watery and had the leeks extremely limp and overly cooked. I pictured a thicker soup when it mentioned potato--nope. It was a watery mess of a concoction. I think the expression on my face must have been very disdainful because it was nothing like I pictured. The patio faces a parking lot that is partly under construction. The service is what messed up this experience for me.

Good food and good drinks. We were seated quickly and service was fast. The crispy cauliflower was amazing and my mocktail was surprisingly refreshing and light.

I'm obsessed with Postino Park Place! It was my first time here recently and I enjoyed the whole vibe and menu. It has a hipster vibe with lots of references to music, like the concert fliers in the bathroom and the boom boxes on the walls as decor. They have a large wine bar, lots of happy hour specials and some delicious foods. They are known for the bruschetta bites. We ordered the flight and you get 6 options to share and then they slice them into four smaller pieces. It was a fantastic appetizer. The service was wonderful and we loved sitting on the outdoor patio. My salad was pretty good and I loved seeing the zero proof menu too! Overall it was an A+ experience and I can't wait to go back soon!

Bruschetta Board

we came here randomly and so happy to have found this spot! It's such a good, relaxed restaurant that you can come alone or have a group of friends. They switch up the bruschetta board I think every so often, I was sad to not have been able to try the Italian because that's what sold me on coming here, BUT I did order the board and reallllly enjoyed -Sweet and spicy pepper jam 10/10 - Burrata, bacon, arugula, tomato 10/10 -salami pesto 2/10 -prosciutto, fig, mascarpone 2/10 Crispy cauliflower 7/10 Chicken mozzarella sandwich / soup 9/10 I will definitely be back for happy hour and another bruschetta board

I debated gatekeeping this spot, but it's earned its flowers. This has easily become one of my regular rotations -- I find myself here at least once or twice a month, and it never misses. The bottle and board is the move if you're easing into the menu, and the bruschetta board is consistently well-executed across the board (balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, no weak links). But the standout? The mushroom fondue. Rich, earthy, and indulgent in the best way -- paired with their house chips, it's the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after you leave. Service has always been solid, and the overall experience keeps me coming back. A reliable go-to that still feels a little bit like a hidden gem.

Postino has a lively vibe and fun atmosphere. The decor is unique, as is their menu. The servers are friendly and give great advice on what to order. The boards are great for sharing and they're also good if you want to enjoy a variety of flavors. They have a good selection of wine to go with the boards and other menu items.

Charcuterie tray and bruschetta tray. Yum!

Really great service and excellent appetizers! We were so impressed! Love the outdoor patio dining too! Our waitress Sophia was great and even let us know when she was going on break and who would be filling in while she was gone! Nice!

This restaurant is such a nice and vibey place. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The parking can get crowded easily but there is a parking structure nearby that you can park at. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bruschetta and boards are a great way for sharing different flavors of the food with lots of people. Also, really liked the crispy cauliflower; the sauce on there made it really tasty! Would like to come back and try some of their other things!

Excellent Happy Hour Drink Deals If you are looking for a great value on drinks, this is a solid spot. I visited on a Thursday and the place was busy around 4p! Happy Hour Drinks until 5p: $7 glasses of wine, $28 bottles, and $7 pitchers of beer. It is easily one of the better values in the area for a round with friends. Food: The food remains full price. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Kelly T.

Was very excited to try this place but I just don't think the flavors paired well together on the charcuteries. The ambience and service was nice, great place to grab a drink after work, but the food wasn't notably memorable for me. I wasn't blown away by their charcuterie options nor did I really like how they flavors went together. The bruschetta flight was also nothing to hit home about. Hopefully other people who come have a better experience than I did!

Lots of wine

Another great experience at Postino. The place is quaint, yet super roomy. Lots of indoor and outdoor patio/bar seating. This place is always packed!! SERVICE: Great as usual. They sat me quickly and the servers were very nice and attentive (checked on me adequately) FOOD: I can't think of anything that I can NOT recommend. Everything is super tasty. I had the Greek hummus board and the Tuscan Tuna sandwich this evening and it did not disappoint. Always consistent and always great. If you live here and have not tried it....How dare you!!

Stopped in with some friends and sat outside since it was a nice day. Ordered a signature cocktail, the pub board and the smoked salmon. The drink was delicious and the boards were phenomenal, lots of food had to share. The pretzel was yummy and the sausages were delectable. The smoked salmon came with all the goods and tasted so nice. Love Postino. Our server was nice and checked on us often.

T2B1.) Smoked Salmon and Pesto, 2.) Salame and Pesto, 3.) Prosciutto di Parma, Fig and Mascarpone, 4.) Burrata, Bacon, Arugula and Tomato.

Wow. This place is a hidden gem for sure - lived right next door since it opened and finally gave it a chance just to realize how amazing it is. Such a great spot for a casual date or evening with friends. Especially loved the outside patio with the string lights and plants. Didn't try to drinks this time but they looked so good (very creative/refreshing-looking alcoholic and zero proof). Plates are great sizes for sharing. The bruschetta is phenomenal. All were incredibly delicious - my favorite was the burrata, bacon, arugula, tomato. Brussel sprout salad was also yummy. Next time we'll try the drinks, Caesar salad, and a few paninis. Also heard many people ordering the meatballs and skewers, sounds like they're a hit. Only reason for 4 stars is because I felt like there were things I would have loved to see on the menu that felt otherwise missing... Amanda was our server and she was so attentive and kind. It seemed as though all the servers were the same way. Finally, the bill came and I was SHOCKED by how reasonable the prices were, especially for the quality. All including a 20% tip was under $45 - very pleased. Will be back often.

He was amazing -- attentive, fun, and clearly knows his drinks. At one point he made us an off-menu cocktail that was STRONG (in the best way) and honestly one of my favorites of the night. And the attention to detail?? He even let me borrow his hat for photos so I could fully commit to the camping aesthetic 10/10 for the vibes. Overall: such a cute, unique spot for a night out. I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future.
