Fun facts: My husband lived out in Philly during his high school years. One of his favorite foods to this day is a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich. There is only one place in CA he gets his sandwich from, and that is Philly's Best Cheesesteaks. Their sandwiches are HUGE! And they are very generous with their meat. I usually get their Philly Hoagie, which is basically their same Philly cheesesteak but with lettuce and tomato. Loaded alongside generous portion of thin sliced beef, and melted cheese, I have to agree their sandwiches are good. I have yet to step inside their restaurant (we usually order it to go), but we have no problems ordering and eating it at home. The sandwiches are still warm and so tasty, even after the drive back. Their cheese fries and extra cheese sauce are also to die for. If you can't make it Philly, let Philly's Best bring back memories of their cheesesteaks for you. They are the best! read more

My wife recently had a work trip to Philadelphia and brought me back a sandwich from Chickie's & Pete's she got from the Airport, she had it earlier in the week when she was at the bar with her colleagues. She was told that the traditional Philly Cheesesteak from the classic Geno's and Pat's is for the older palette and there are better options these days that have improved upon the original (still) delicious sandwich. Any way, The sandwich my wife got me was amazingly good, so the next afternoon I had to go grab an sandwich from Philly's Best just to do a comparison while the flavors was still fresh in my mind. As you see in my star rating, it was just alright, it's good, the bread was pillowy and the beef was beef, the cheese was gooey, but in comparison it just doesn't compete. It's been many years since I've had Geno's or Pat's, but I do remember Philly's Best being a very good option for a good Cheesesteak in the west coast. Maybe my tastebuds have changed. Maybe the owner/s of this franchise should go check out the Philly local scene and see what the other offerings are. All that said, I will still grab a sandwich from Philly's Best once in a while, it's bread, beef (mushrooms & peppers) and cheese. What's not to like as long as you don't tell your doctor. read more

I think if you show up before like 4pm the sandwiches are like $10.50 instead of like $13.99+ Overall, super delicious eating it there. Not my typical meal I usually eat. I thought a sandwich would be too much. I was thinking it would be an overload of meat so I decided to get the Cheesesteak Fries and that wasn't a wise choice. I didn't realize it had "Wiz" because I probably wouldn't have ordered it, although it clearly stated that in the description. Oh well. It definitely tasted like processed cheese because it is and it was drenched and smothered with it. My meal weighed a ton and a half! But now I know what to avoid. I've been going to Philly's Best since they opened in Fountain Valley and it's always been really good. I have to confess I don't go to this location that often even though it's pretty close by. Well, I need to put this spot on the regular rotation because my god the sandwich I had there last night was absolutely bonkers delicious. I did the pepper steak with onions and instead of doing fries or chips I added extra steak for $4.99. I should've taken a picture, it was the biggest most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Guys, I have had the cheesesteak at Matu (different world apart) but this honestly was incredibly good and made right. Absolutely delicious! Staff was super friendly. Store was spotless. Ok let me say I've been to this branch many times and the food and service was excellent! However, today I stopped in to order my usual the Classic Italian for $13.49. I was greeted by a girl by the name of Adelynn Adame. She took my order and looked like she a new employee, the way she worked the register. I gave her my order and she asked the usual, do I want tomato & lettuce, mayo & mustard and oil & vinegar. I said only mayo & mustard and the meat & cheese. She charged me $16.37. I hmm it went up in price a little. I reviewed the receipt and noticed I was charged $1.49 for Cooper Sharp. I didn't even know what that was. I asked if she was new, she said no. I asked why I'm paying an extra $1.49. She it was a different cheese. I said you didn't ask me if I wanted that. I said I just want the Classic which comes with provolone. She argued with me and didn't even apologize for making an error. RUDE!! I said I'd like my $1.49 back. Took a few minutes to calculate, I don't know why. So she gave me back $1 and said where's my .49 cents. She stared at me and then counted out the money. I'm not pleased with my last visit. She left me feeling irritated! At least admit you made a mistake, and own it! I would of felt heard! But no she was still put off by my confrontation. Money is tight these days. STAY AWAY! RIP OFF! Stay away from this location, Consistently messing up food orders and giving people there food incorrectly check there reviews I'm not the Only customer this has happened too ano to top it off they refuse to remake the food and or give a refund even with a receipt in hand. I came to this location and received a sandwich that came out incorrectly and was missing the tomatoes and lettuce and the Bead was soaked on half the side. Our order number was 81 we ordered our food around 7.20pm this location closes at 8 by the time received the food and arrived at home to see our food was incorrect we didn't have enough time to go back to fix the order cause they were closed. We call the next day as soon as they open to let them know about the issue, We explain the situation to the employee who contacts the owner and the owner absolutely refused to do anything to help, didn't offer a refund or a remake didn't even apologize for the mistake and instead provided me with an email that doesn't work and I was told to email them my complaint. when trying to do so the email fails to send cause the email does not exist which is Cheesesteaksisna@gmail.com when calling back to Ask for another email and telling this this one doesn't exist I'm told thats the correct one and i was not provided another form of contact, This place is a headache and isn't worth that hassle, There food is expensive and its unfair how they treat there customers and take there hard earned money only to be given the incorrect order and be denied compensation, they don't care about there customers, all they care about is there money,not the loyal people who make this business run and operate, I'm not the only Customer either check the reviews from just a few months ago other people complaining about the same issue of missing items and incorrect sandwiches or missing toppings multiple times. it's very disappointing and unprofessional. The boars head meat is on point. It doesn't matter what you're looking for it's all good. Today I was told but an employee, that they are under new owners & no longer will be able to fix an incorrect order. Apart from the fact that we are stuck w a $30 meal, that went to the trash, the employee (Rob/Roberto H.) was so rude over the phone.
