One of the best dining experiences I've ever had -- honestly on par with some of the 3 star Michelin restaurants my wife and I have visited. Our waitress, Dolly, a shorter blonde-haired lady, was incredibly sweet and down-to-earth. There was a mistake with our order from the kitchen, but Dolly handled the situation perfectly. She apologized for the confusion, stayed attentive, and made sure everything was corrected quickly. More importantly, she made us feel valued as customers and made sure our money felt well spent. Excellent customer service like that is hard to find these days, and Dolly truly stood out. Big shoutout to her for turning a small issue into such a positive experience. Waitresses were very rude because I asked for extra Alfredo sauce on the side. She yelled it was put on already. Got home tired from work and it was dry as heck. Toast was burnt and the didn't put my potato pancakes in my bag. One piece of bacon when I should've gotten at least 3 ( I get 3 when I'm eating in at other eat n parks), baked potato was cooked long enough it was hard in the middle. Do not leave without opening every container to check your purchase even if you're tired from a hard day at work. I called the manager acted nonchalant about it. Oh and to top it off my order was supposed to be ready at 9:33pm. I arrived at 9:30. I didn't get my order until 9:58. Why tell them your order would be ready and it's not on time. Waitress was talking to someone on her phone sounded personal. Then when I asked again about my order she huffed and puffed and closed the window as if I interrupted her phone call. On New Year's Day, I stopped in for a quick breakfast bwfore making holiday returns. I had the second worst waitress the establishment has named Dolly. She had the personality of a wet mop. Paige their other star waitress must have trained her. My food was cold, got margerine insyead of butter and not even 2oz of shredded cheese. Had to ask for hot sauce three times. No beverage refil. No Thank You. Horrible service and attitude. She needs a new job. Jen, Cara, and Keri to name a few are always so pleasant. The service they provide brings customets back. The breakfast bar the last few weekends has been bad as well. No dishes and when replaced often dirty. The Avalon location usually does a great job. We've ordered fish, burgers, chicken, breakfast and desserts. Lately we've ordered mostly take out. Food is affordable and tastes pretty good for what it is. I wouldn't recommend getting french fries to go because they wilt and get soggy in the styrofoam containers. read more

We visited Saturday afternoon. Although we came for pie, we ended up ordering real food and never had pie. We were quickly seated but it took a while for Ash to visit our table to say hi and get drinks. We were ready to order our meals when she came. We got a superburger and fries and bowl of chili and grilled cheese sandwich. After about 20 minutes and one drink refill, I asked my supper companion, "good grief, WHAT is taking so long !?!?" And just then Ash appeared with our meals. She explained that the drive-through was very busy tonight. I get it and it's not her fault -- we tipped $10 on a $20 meal -- but why do the drive-through folks always get faster service at the expense of sit-down diners? If they can't hire enough people to serve both drive-through and sit-down, maybe one should be closed. Anyway, our food was good but we weren't planning on being here 45 minutes. You know how you see a commercial for a restaurant and all the food looks spectacular? It always looks so perfect almost to the point it looks fake? The type of commercial that makes your mouth water! Well I experienced that real life bliss for the first time at this location Took my son to get some later dinner after the movie theater (Black Widow). He wanted mac and cheese, applesauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, spaghetti and chocolate milk while I had the Broccoli and cheese omlette with home fries, sausage and wheat toast and we split a mozz Stix. He liked his as most kids do because it was just a hodge podge of everything that he mixed but my omlette looked like something out of a food magazine lol. Literally looked like the guy cooking followed the recipe to the utmost T. it was the best food I've ever gotten from any eat n park I told the waitress to give kudos to the cook because he earned his paycheck that day. Son and I had dinner her the last night. I had the filet of sole with french fries and they have a huge salad bar. The sole was delicious and the salad/soup/fruit bar was really great. I could of come for just the salad bar and would of been completely happy. The service was really good and it was fast and friendly. The place is pretty big and was very clean. The prices are very reasonable and overall inexpensive considering what you get. Eat'n Park is a pretty big chain in the Pittsburg area. This was the 2nd one I have been too and I have not been disappointed yet. If in the area I do recommend Eat'n Park as the food and service are both really good. read more

The food was okay and the service wasn't very good. The three of us ordered extra crispy fries. My fish dinner order came with fries that were lukewarm and soft. The other two hamburger orders came out plain without the fries. The waitress brought the 2 orders of fries on the same plate 5 minutes after our food was served. The waitress didn't really check to see if we needed anything. We had to stop her to ask her to refill my mom's coffee. She never came around after that when I needed water and my husband wanted his drink refilled. It wasn't like it was that busy. The waitress made a snide comment to us just before we left. She said she was joking. I was pretty upset and my 92 year old mom wasn't happy. I still tipped her, but I hope the waitress rethinks the way she serves people. After a long weekend or road tripping and eating greasy fast food, I needed a detox of sorts for my digestive tract. Unfortunately for us there wasn't much around that offered something on the healthier side. However, we remember that ENP has the salad bar. It never felt so good to walk into a place knowing exactly what you wanted and not needing to look at the menu. The only thing our server really had to do for us was bring us our drinks and collect our plates. The salad bar is nothing impressive, but it did it's task. I wanted a fresh salad and I didn't have to tell anyone what I wanted. I also appreciate the different types of bases they have that you can build your salad on. I usually go with spinach and then just pile on the toppings. Soups always depend on the day and are always piping hot. Our server was a gem and did an amazing job as after we sat down she got a larger than average party. She never missed a beat and was upbeat herself. read more

This is one of the better locations and the resturant is pretty big. We have eaten here quite a few times dine-in and takeout. They are usually adequately staffed and the food doesn't take long to be prepared. I've only had a few bad experiences, but overall some go-to meals are decent for the price. Resturant is usually clean and the servers are nice. The pickup window makes things convenient for to-go food. I have had some things forgotten with takeout orders. Breakfast: Ever since they changed the home fries, breakfast has not been the same. Not a fan of the eggs nor breakfast meat. The pancakes and bananas foster french toast are pretty consistent though. Lunch/Dinner: The Buffalo chicken salad, baked cod, parm chicken and potato soup remain my solid choices when eating here for lunch or dinner. read more

Eat n Park has been a staple in my life for many years. I hit up E n P for Friday lunch with my coworker around 12:30pm. It was busy, but we got seated right away. Heads up - they completely rebuilt this E n P about 2 years ago - it's so nice! They just released their new menus! So new menu items, but I ordered my old favorites. I started out with a bowl of the chicken noodle. Or is seriously the best chicken noodle I've ever had. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fillets entree with a side salad and side of apple sauce. They are some of my favorite comfort foods. Eat n Park's ranch dressing is out of this world! Our waitress Irene seemed to be kinda grumpy when we first ordered- but by the end of our meal. The quality of the food is terrible, the service is even worse. The syrup was heavy, and probably made of cornstarch and sugar. The butter was unrecognizable. You would have to taste it to even get a hint or what it was. I tried their pancakes, and it didn't taste like pancakes. Ordered online today and picked up my food at the drive through. They gave me MOLDY bread with my salad that was clearly sticking out. Whoever packed it clearly could see it and did not care. Tried calling the store manager and he seemed to not care at all. He told us that he "does not check the bread every day." We are afraid we are going to get sick. They also left out all of the sauces for our meals. Terrible experience. read more

Never again. Service has always been slow here, but this morning took the cake. Went in, not busy at all. Sat for close to 15 minutes, multiple waitresses walked by and didn't acknowledge me. This location has had a total overall and it looks fabulous. The food here has always been good in my experience, and I definitely love the new updates. It's like a brand new restaurant. Eat'n'Park's Belgian waffle smile is one of the best deals anywhere on planet earth, and their Belgian waffle is certainly in the top three best waffles I've ever had. It's just that good. Especially during strawberry pie season, another one of their absolutely delicious options, ask for strawberries on your waffle. The salad bar is always a good option, there's lots of stuff up there to choose from-it's also available as an option to add to any meal as a side. My go to's for hot entrées are the whale of a cod dinner with french fries and a salad bar or the new crispy chicken club sandwich with salad bar as a side. THE BAKERY: Eat'n'Park baked goods are nothing to shake a stick at. The peach berry pie, actually any of their pies are delicious. But especially the peach berry. The rye bread is made in house at each location, as are all of the sweet rolls that you can get with your dinner entrées. For diner type food, this is good. I ordered the chicken bruscheta and hubby ordered meatloaf. Our companions got the turkey dinner and vegetable lasagna. Service was very uneven and incredibly slow. The butter fell on the floor and should have been put in the waitress pocket not back on the plate. The turkey dinner was missing cranberry sauce and while it was brought when requested, it took a long time. The fruit salad has mostly seasonable fresh fruits and was great. My chicken was great with that balsamic vinegar taste that I like and a nice baked potato. This Eat n Park is on a very busy road and no red light. I have no idea why the service was so slow. They definitely were not busy. It took them about a half an hour just to cut a piece of pie and a piece of cake. But one never knows the cause of slow service. The food was good, hence the 4 stars, and luckily we were not in a rush. For not much more you could get the salad bar but that would have been way too much food for us. read more

This Eat n Park location is definitely worthy of a review! A popular chain restaurant in the Pittsburgh region, you can expect a short list of lackluster reviews for these types of restaurants. However, when I decided to grab a quick lunch with my (small) immediate family of 13 members with 5 children under 6 (yikes!), and was provided with such great customer service, I feel I have to give a good shout out for this location. You can imagine all the good ole stink eyes, sighs, and raised attitudes of hostesses and fellow eaters as a group this size with "well behaved children" enters the restaurant, right? But to the contrary, we were greeted with warm personalities and smiles. :-) A great feature of this location is that they have a separate room that can fit, I say, about 30 people that can be closed off from the rest of the dining area. Luckily for us, it wasn't being used at the time of our arrival and we were quickly seated in about 5 minutes! (Nice, right?) It also looks like this location has been recently renovated and it looks fresh, clean, and new. Our waitress, simply put, was a miracle worker and a friendly character with the kids. I was pretty impressed with the wait staff and their welcoming attitudes here. It provided a happier atmosphere for everyone. You get the quality of food for what you pay for at Eat n Park. For our entire group, it was around $100, which is awesome! For myself, I go for a fresh salad and a hot cup of soup from the salad bar for my meal. My only complaint here, and I was originally going to give 4 stars instead of 5, is that they were missing and running low on some important choices from the salad bar. You can't make a salad (from a salad bar) if you don't have any lettuce! :-/ Unless you're boycotting leafy greens for some reason. Fortunately, in a quick swoop, the lettuce replenisher saved the day and we were all able create the salads of our liking. I justified the quick feet and replenishment of the workers to give it the 5-star rating. They say Eat n Park is the place for smiles, and I definitely walked out with a smile on my face. (Don't forget about the smiley cookies!) They provided heart shaped shaped ones for February. I'd say pick one up to share with someone you love, but let's be honest... you may want to grab two, because you're going to devour it. ;-) read more

EatnPark is great for consistency, especially when it comes to food. The servers are typically stretched thin but otherwise good. I order drive thru a lot and love that feature, it's nice to be able to take it home when you're not in the mood to go in. Overall a solid establishment and a comforting staple. :) read more

This is a review of one experience getting breakfast here about 5:00 am. They appear to be one of the few chains offering 24 hour service, and I needed breakfast at 5:00 so stopped here. Service is lacking at this hour. When I came in there was no hostess or server anywhere. Someone showed up in a minute or two, but it took several minutes for me to get my order placed and then 25 minutes to get a basic breakfast served. It also took about five minutes or so to get coffee. The breakfast was two eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. At least it was hot. It was also pretty decent as far as breakfasts go. The price with coffee was about $10. The server was nice, but it didn't seem they were really set up to provide proper service In the early morning. read more

This Eat 'N Park is in Bellevue, and if you're headed out of the city on Route 65, this will be the first of 2 E 'N P's you'll ride past, the second one being in Sewickley. The whistle blew, and the one in Sewickley pinned the one in Bellevue after a few minutes of grappling. When we arrived around 11PM after a Friday night Maylene and the Sons of Disaster gig at Mr. Smalls in Millvale, the place was bustling (infested?) with suburban teenagers, most of whom apparently came from a dance based on their attire. One observation: All too many teenagers these days do not know how to wear dress clothes. Boys had their shirts unbuttoned and belts undone. Girls wearing short party dresses squatted, did splits, high kicks, and at times sat like boys or like Buddha...on the floor. Another observation: All too many teenagers don't have basic manners. They play with their food, flick it at each other, compare dishes they order to various bodily fluids and seemingly order food just so they can find new ways to gross each other out. Yet another observation: Despite their tacky, lewd behavior, the teenagers mentioned above seem to think they are superior to everyone else and glance in disdain at anyone they don't know. One more fricking observation: These teens don't believe in tipping. And these are the suburban kids, the so-called "good" kids, the ones put onto pedestals for reasons borne of racism and classism. Enough social commentary. Katherine, our server, was hilarious, uberefficient, and psychic for she predicted my choice of dessert in the Molten Lava Cake, something I bagged on at another E 'N P but found to be better here. The cake itself tasted fresher than the one I had elsewhere. Man, that Mile High Meatloaf looked appetizing but fell like the Tower of Babel before my mother's own meatloaf, the benchmark if you will. Drowning in a flavorless gravy, the meatloaf came with a scoop of high school cafeteria-grade mashed potatoes (they'd been sitting around in a pan for a while) and some onion rings as a garnish. I eat my mom's meatloaf with nothing else but ketchup. It's moist on the inside and crusty on the outside; it is perfection. Oy, enough with the Wedding Crashers references. read more

I love Eat 'n Park but something very odd has happened at this location. A beautiful new restaurant building and in equal measure a downgrade in meal quality. The salad bar is always, and I've been there at least a dozen times, is always bare on fruits, cottage cheese, and the soup of the day. Always! Meals are lower quality.
