This is such a wonderful little place! It gives off adorable small town diner vibes that you don't really get anymore. The staff are feisty and friendly and always smiling and laughing- the food is awesome. We love the carrot cake (all of the pies and cakes are phenomenal) and I personally can't get enough of the chicken and dumplings. The fried fish is GREAT and I literally would drive a half hour just for a side of their fries. HIGHLY recommend-love this place so much. Definitely an asset to the Charlotte area. They were super busy, but the staff were still attentive and did a great job. The breakfast we had here was so good. The decor of taxidermy is an awesome sight as you eat. My husband always says, "Find us a place off the wall to eat at!" This one didn't disappoint and had great food. read more

Lots of options on the menu. The burger was pretty good, onion petals were okay, and the breakfast food the rest of my party ordered was good for them. It's your atypical american eatery with lots of seating and plenty of visitors. Service was fine, but the real excitement was seeing the wildlife dressed up for Christmas. read more

It's an old fashioned neighborhood diner. Great place for a family dinner. Waitresses talk to you like family, every time we have been there. Large servings of tasty food, enough for another meal. Prices are very reasonable. We are always too full for dessert. But the dessert case looks amazing. I think we will have to consider dessert to go next time. read more

I have to start this review off by saying they have the absolute SWEETEST staff ever! Service is always served with a smile, great attitude, and our food is always quick to come out even when they are busy. Their biscuits and gravy, eggs, and toast are top notch. Tried my "no drinks--must be cheaper" policy. Olive burgers are now $7.49 (pre-tax) with fewer fries. After comparing three other sit-down restaurants, I see that Eaton Place is still the cheapest, but that doesn't stop the price from being galling. As for the food, roomie complains that his burger was overcooked and my fries were scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's hard letting go of a restaurant you love, but I guess I'm going to have to try. read more

This is a great little family restaurant in Charlotte, MI. If you're riding along I-69 on a road trip, this is worth the diversion. They have a huge stuffed bear in the dining room. Isn't that enough to get you to go? Okay, so the food is very respectable for this sort of place. Breakfast was tasty, husband's fish & chips got a thumbs up, as well. It's a diner. This place is a total GEM! Seat yourself "wherever you can find a table". Casual no-thrills hometown diner (just the way I like it) decorated with huge deer heads everywhere in one of the dining corners. You feel right at home eating here. Coffee is good, nice size mug. Get the breakfast buffet- yes of course some of the food is a tad greasy (duh it's bacon) but still packed with flavor (and I noticed they DO change out food regularly). The buffet is about $10 but honestly it's an incredibly good deal for the offerings- salad/pasta bar (awesome toppings), soups, breakfast area with multiple biscuit gravies, AND and made-to-order omelettes (highlight of the restaurant). Shout out to James for being the coolest omelette guy ever- take the time to get to know him. He's a super talented and cool dude. Also, I asked him to "make me whatever you like" and literally made the most BOMB Spanish omelette I've ever had in my life. The chili had steak pieces in it and he topped it with green onion. We were touring through with my band and these are the types of restaurants we look forward to finding- reasonably priced, good selections, and home cookin. And if they have cream of mushroom soup GET IT. For real, eat here. I'm booking a show back in the area just so I can eat here again! read more

The quality of the food was as good as most restaurants. I was a little disappointed when I ordered breakfast, I asked, instead of potatoes, could I get fruit. The waitress replied yes. When I received my check, I was billed for the fruit, and nothing was taken off for the potatoes. The waitress then said that management said she couldn't substitute the fruit for the potatoes. The Eaton Place gets 4 stars from me partly due to the fact that the owners and staff has been so good to my family over the years. But it deserves the good rating for its breakfast service and the Saturday Omelet bar. If your looking for pie or cake, you can choose from a large selection. Service was great!!! The only problem is that where we were sat we were able to see the kitchen and the cooks did not wear gloves for our ready to eat food. Along with others patrons food. It is in the Health code that you need to wear gloves or use tongs and clearly they violate this everyday. I brought it to the attention of the manager last time I was in and I guess it does not matter to him. read more

I'm amazed at the reviews. I tried the dinner buffet with my girlfriend, we both left disappointed in the quality of the food. The food reminded me of hospital cafeteria food, only the salad, the mashed potatoes, and green beans were edible in my opinion. I'd like to think we would have been better ordering off the menu, although the endless choices makes me think not. We ended up stopping at Arby's for market fresh sandwiches before getting back on the expressway. read more
