Welcome to NoVA Eavesdrop Brewery! What a great addition to the already impressive stack of breweries in the area and already collaborating with the best around too! Looks like they will be growing their own hops outside too... I'm excited to see what all these guys put out in the near future! This beautifully designed building is a rustic and industrial garage on the inside and a farmhouse on the outside with a plethora of outdoor seating ranging from wall bars, picnic tables, and even a rooftop. It's clean and fresh that doesn't overcrowd the consumer that also offers plenty of outlets around to room to charge phones or work on laptops. Both sides of the building tout large doors that can open to the outdoors which will be exceptionally nice once the weather gets warmer. This will be a spot to hang out! The actual location is hidden behind a strip mall, not easily seen from 28. The parking situation is confusing and doesn't look like they will have enough the way things are setup and roped off at the moment. They don't offer food, but they do have a good truck that can please any and all ages without breaking the bank. Not sure how the food trucks will work here, but they had one on the Sunday that I went. They may want to post a schedule or listing so folks know what to expect or if they need to bring food. Currently they have just 3 beers on draft, but all 3 are solid, two of which are collaborations with well-known and established breweries, Old Ox and Vanish! They don't offer flights :/... but maybe that's just for now, they do have half pours (in clear plastic solo cups :/ ). I love to taste beer but I hate to waste, so hopefully as they grow their inventory, flights will be made available. All in all, seems like this little brewery could move up quickly in the ranks of best NoVA beer and become a destination spot in an area that isn't known for anything except bad traffic. :p read more

We stopped by for a quick trip since we were in the area. The indoor area isn't that big but they have a lot of picnic tables for seating outdoors. There's also a bunch of different board games for you to play with while you get your drink on. Their menu isn't too extensive yet but they do let you taste the beers before you order. We got two half pours to share and spent a little time outside. They had a food vendor and a live band the day we went. I'll be back to try the new beers they brew up! read more

Those pouring beer do not know anything about the beers or seem to be annoyed at offering recommendations or service. Seems contrary to how a brewery should operate. Chill outdoor seating with lots of space to "social distance" from other parties/groups. The food and beverage is sold/bought in two different areas/buildings but the seating is smack in the middle so convenient to get what you want and have a sat wherever you please. The food is tasty and Kim Chee fries are a must! I'm sorry but the parking situation is just not worth it. It would be easier to find parking at breweries in the middle of Manhattan than here. I'm not really sure what the people are talking about who parked across the fairly large multi lane road with no crosswalk and had to run back over or the people who had to wait in a long line for valet parking are talking about if they're saying that's no big deal. This isn't really a problem at other places in the area so I just don't see it being worth it even if the food and beer are good. read more

I love the atmosphere here!! The large outdoor space is beautiful when it's warm enough, and when it isn't they have had fires!! Beers here are also good, and they have a popcorn machine! I'm no expert of local beer or breweries but I know a thing or two about great group venues and Eavesdrop is one of the best in Northern Virginia. My family and I celebrated my mom's birthday here. After spending most weekends this summer lazying around at local wineries, the brewery was a nice change of pace. The space offers comfort in a very casual and non-committal setting that is as familiar as sitting in your living room. First, there are a ton of indoor and outdoor seating options for special occasions: you have the rooftop; the covered and uncovered picnic tables in the front and back of the main building; the main building itself; and another smaller building off to the side. Second, there is the wonderful option to bring your own food or order from their menu. And then, there is the nice selection of board games in the main building and corn hole boards to keep you from getting bored. Oh and during the summer, they invite local bands to serenade their guests. The smart folks at Eavesdrop have pretty much thought of everything to make you never want to leave their premises (hmm...). Our party of nine came with a cooler stocked with food from home and a cake for the birthday girl. On an early Sunday afternoon, most tables were empty and we were able to nap two long ones under a pretty pergola behind the main building. We feasted and drank (the undisputed favorite was the Alycious - DE-licious!) and played a few very exciting rounds of corn hole. All of this to the tune of old school rock classics belted by a very talented man who could have easily been one of the Eagles or Beach Boys. My parents were in heaven. We loved everything about Eavesdrop. Can't wait to return for another special occasion! read more

If you're looking for a cool vibe and good drinks this is your place! They have a food open at Eugunes their sausage and fries place, but that was what put me down to 4 stars. It was good but not amazing. The fries were tasty and everyone was polite. The seating and social distancing was done well and no one was near each other. The man working inside was talkative and great at helping you chose a beer you'll like. I loved being here and will come back this weekend for their 2nd year anniversary party. This is a very solid Brewery. The location is convenient for me and is close to a lot of places. I first went there for a big gathering of friends. The staff and was attentive and knew exactly what they were talking about. I enjoyed the different beers I tried. I am not a very picky beer drinker. Even though we have not visited eavesdrop YET in person, as we are in Nebraska - I have to say that I really appreciate Sam at Eavesdrop for all the help in getting some Eavesdrop products shipped to me so that we were also able to enjoy Backstrom Swede-est assist party as well. We are big Capitals fans so it was a pleasure working with Sam to be able to celebrate from here. I live down the street from here and love coming. The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is great. I always feel at home. I enjoy their beers and everything about this place. We used to love this brewery and came here many times during the pandemic. We are an immunocompromised household and loved having an outdoor space away from the city to eat, drink, and hang out. During the pandemic we showed our IDs and ordered beers with our masks on many times, never been asked to remove them. However, this evening, upon ordering my drink and showing my driver's license, i was told I had to remove my mask. I communicated that I can't because I am immunocompromised. The person working rolled his eyes and said "okay, I'll bite." Admittedly I became visibly nervous due to this reaction and called my partner back inside from Eugene's to show his ID for his drink (our food buzzer went off a minute before). But the person working said "he's doing the mask too?" And I said again, yes, we are immunocompromised. The person working laughed at us and said "whatever." We promptly left because I do not want to give my business anywhere that treats disabled people that way. While many people do not need to worry about COVID anymore and we do not judge those who do not wear masks, it is still a very serious concern for folks like us with health conditions, getting treatment for cancer, and other complications. I am very disappointed and will no longer be returning to this brewery. There are many others in the area that do not treat customers this way. read more

Fun fact, you can reserve the rooftop for private eventsl!! Highly recommend Eavesdrop, especially if you can come early and beat the crowd! We stopped here on a random Tuesday! You would never guess this venue sits where it does, right off the road, behind a painted industrial like building. It's the perfect unexpected secret spot that's not to far from neighborhoods! It was the perfect crowd, perfect early 2000s playlist, perfect weather, delicious food, and damn good beer!! (Ordered the Bird Flipper + White Dove)! There is an upstairs patio along with various other couches, porch swing, and outdoor lounge spots. Board games & yard games are also available! From time to time, there are different events and Tuesdays there are Cornhole Tournaments starting at 1830. We'll definitely be back! This brewery has pivoted 100% to accommodate the new realities of these challenging times, and they are crushing it. Positioned on a busy by-way, complementary valet parking takes the anxiety off of trying to find a place to park that won't tow your car (tip your valet). The large yard space has been set up with tent coverings, tons of tables spaced out (even if people don't respect that spacing and move tables/chairs to accommodate large groups); and a great set-up where you buy drink tickets from two cashiers set-up outside the brew-space so that the transactions inside are fast and clean (masks required inside to get beer and use the toilet). They are also on trend with the IPA game having 3 options on tap (I'm a fan) but also wine, lagers and a porter-like beer options, so something for everyone. We were there on a Saturday night and there was live music and fire-pits going. You can bring your own chair if seats fill up and there's a food joint slinging sausages and fries if you need sustenance to get you through the evening. Family friendly and well set-up; I will def be back with my pod to enjoy the sites and sounds! read more

Went to celebrate my birthday and it was perfect! What initially attracted me was the fire pits, outdoor area, and the ability to bring your own food. They had plenty of picnic tables and space to spread out and play some board games. The food was sooo good too; Eugene's is adjacent to the brew hall. They had THE BEST soft pretzels and sausages I've ever tasted. I also appreciated the wide selection of beer, cider and wines. It is both family and dog friendly. I have tried this place time again & its run ABSOLUTELY terrible. I'm glad they finally got their beers chilled down to serving temp. They even offer some guest taps now, so you dont have to drink their homebrew. Now you can see their taplist live on their website or untappd, what a concept. But their management... So they run a special 3:30pm on a friday about a frozen rose wine (this is a brewery special mind you). By the time work is over & we organize a group to get there, they are sold out. 7pm.... your special lasted 3.5hrs. The response was "we run a batch and when it sells it sells". But your menu clearly still lists the product... "dont worry we will cross it out". from 7-10pm it still remained & I witnessed others ask then receive said disappointment. I aired my upset & they removed my first post, dont worry, lots of other avenues. A lot of simple fixes, but nope. Another business staying afloat on demand and not quality of service / product. *during covid* be prepared for packed outdoor spaces, wild children running around without masks or respect, and brief IPA wipedowns on 80% of the table surfaces at close of business read more

This place is really special and fun. First off, the beer is incredible. I'm not a big beer drinker- but they really have amazing flavors! Secondly, there's lots of outdoor space with fire pits galore. They even sell s'mores kits on site. You can also get lots of other tasty bites from the connected restaurant.. I've only tried the fries but they were on point! It feels like a little piece of normalcy here but they are still sticking to guidelines. Highly recommend! read more

What a cute establishment! Small barn-like brewery with alot of open space with indoor/outdoor seating. They have several games available to play while sipping on their beers (recommend the House IPA and Stout after trying all 4). Outdoor has activities such as cornhole, giant connect-4, and ladder toss. Also had a nice outdoor wood fire going on! Although they do not serve food, there's a food truck right next to the establishment (did not try during my visit) Only reason I docked a star was due to the limited selections on beer and their slightly confusing parking. You need to park at the Church/Hookah parking, NOT the apartment entrance at the signal light. Overall, great place to hang out and get buzzed with friends! read more
