I mean, I'm quite sad I don't see more of this around Flushing. For what it's situated around, it's very spacious and high quality. We bought our fair share of items. And the person at the counter was nice and friendly and the Japanese items looked authentic. No complaints. read more

05/12/2024 Staying in New York for my daughter's graduation. Was looking for a drug store found Ebisu Life Store on Yelp. A nice shop with cosmetics, cold drinks and rows of snacks, candy and other things. Was looking for some hand cream I asked one of the workers and she didn't know what I was saying so I started scratching my hand and she knew what I was asking, led me to the selections of hand cream. Was looking around for some instant noodles found a few. Bummer thou they had a large selection of Japanese soda and drinks but No Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke. The store is easy to miss, but has surprisingly spacious aisles and lots of convenience store supplies for kitchen, bath, snacks, etc. Very clean and well organized. I came here looking for trash bags, but they don't have that in stock. read more

Ever since Teso opened up their first location on Roosevelt, a bunch of similar stores have popped up all around Flushing. I think there's another across the street from the Flushing library and second Teso right around the corner from XinFuTang. They all pretty much carry the same selection of Japanese imported goods. I like the layout of this store better as there's more space in each aisle and the store is quite big as well. This location is a bit further from the hustle and bustle of Main Street but I managed to pick up some cute stickers and a box of Blendy Stick milk tea was on sale. They even have a hot drink section like in Japan 711s! Now if they would just add a hot food section too. read more

Everything is Automatically items especially imported items from Japan. inside of the stores aren't Crowded at all. Clean and easy to look at each products. It's not very pricey although it's from Overseas. The store is across from Queens public Library you can find it very easy. read more

This is like a prettier bigger Teso! And what I loved most about it is the HOT DRINKS SECTION!!!!!! Just like in Japan! I've been waiting for this forever. If you don't know what I'm talking about, refer to the photos. I love the small sized drinks, just the perfect portion. The prices are pretty high but some products go on sale sometimes! They have a lot of buy one get one free deals so watch out for those! Japanese snacks, beauty products, stationary, house hold products, everything you need in a convenience store. read more

Walked around, lots of options and stuff to check out, staff does follow customers around... guess to stop people from stealing? Doesn't bother me but thought that was interesting. Nice and clean store that sells Japanese products. The reason for 2 stars is the incompetent and unfriendly staff. This woman (in the photo I posted) kept following us every aisle we were browsing. How irritably uncomfortable! How is someone supposed to shop while someone is literally breathing down your neck? If you can't go to Japan, this is the next best thing. Seems like quite a few of these stores have been popping up in Flushing and around St Mark's street. Ebisu is a Japanese Drug Store that sells a wonderful assortment of Japanese products. Lots of things made me reminisce of shopping in Japan. Lots of snacks ranging from cookies, jellos, famous snacks, baby snacks, chips, furikake and more. You do need to pay attention for items on sale. Usually they are about to expire the same month or the following month. You can also find kitchenware such as kitchen tools, plates, bowls, utensils, thermos, and more as well. They also sell beauty products such as makeup, beauty care (high end and low end), shampoo and conditioner and masks. There's Japanese medicines, toys, hats, bras....basically everything. It's fun to walk around. I love looking at Japanese products-especially the snacks. Lots of stuff to try. Oh, I love the bag they use for your purchases. Super cute. If you don't make the minimum, the 5 cents is worth it. read more

This is a very unique large clean store. They offer a bit everything from drinks, candy, cosmetics, stationary, baby products plus a lot more. The also carry very high end products like Shiseido, Decorte, Sk-II and other products that I couldn't understand. Everything that they offer is in Chinese. Its like you just stepped into a store in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, I can't read Chinese but it really was a great place to explore. They did have some products in English but you really have to look at it the find the description in English. I was able to figure out what some of the candy, cookies, and drinks were but when going up and down the aisles it was just interesting to try and figure out what everything was. Some of the items were self explanatory but I was happy that they did have signs posted in English letting you know what types of items you were looking at. I realized that its much easier if I go to their website to see some of what they offer translated in English then make a list of what I wanted and go back and pick things up. I originally walked by it but turned back around to see what it was and I was glad that I did. read more

A great store with all goodies you can think of from Japan! Although some of the items are expensive, there are a few which are just about the average price. I was able to find snacks I had when I visited Japan as well as a face wash I used there. It's very clean and spacious inside and you can spend an hour or so just roaming around each aisles. Be prepared to spend money to buy things you didn't even need! read more

This shop has the largest variety of Japanese snacks and drinks I've seen in flushing, however, the prices are also fairly expensive. (BUT understandable since their goods are probably imported directly from Japan!) I've read a couple of other reviews saying that the staff follow you throughout the store, and I have to agree. This happened to me, and made it extremely uncomfortable to shop. In fact, it made me shop faster (purchasing less items than I would've if they left me free to roam without stalking me). read more

As a non-Asian, I enjoy visiting Asian stores and purchasing unique products and I watch bloggers who create content about all things Asian. So, I looked forward to browsing here after walking by. However, it turned out to be a humiliating experience. A young Asian female employee followed me around the whole time I was there including up to the second level where cosmetics are sold. Is this the store's policy to follow people around, especially non-Asians? I'm a middle aged, porky, Caucasian who doesn't pose a threat to anybody. I'm outraged at this treatment. read more

The workers are racist. My friend (black woman) and I (Asian woman) walked in because the store looked interesting and had a lot of cute and fun products! We were walking around and looking at the different products without touching anything. Then we noticed one worker kept tailing us and watching us every corner we turned. We paused at one spot because I had to quickly show a text to my friend that I received. While we stood to read this text, the coworker was on our backs and I smiled at her, in case she took my smile as an invitation to say something to me had she wanted to. However she just stayed there and came behind us to try to read the text (it was about work, nothing to do with the store). Being tired of being followed around, we went upstairs. Then we overheard a worker upstairs receiving a radio message in Chinese about us and she mentioned the words "黑人 hei ren" which means "black person." And the worker walked towards us as if to keep a close look on us. Mind you, we did not touch a single product while in the store. We did not do a single thing that warranted their behavior of watching and following us around and then pointing out the "black person." I found this to be racist and was extremely disappointed in humanity today. read more
