Whenever I shop here the staff has been gracious. However, it's is ALWAYS NEW staff. As a self proclaimed beauty supply connoisseur, this says one thing to me....an old Caribbean adage -"Fish rotten's from the head". Take from that what you will. Anyway, as nice as the staff is, it's hard for me spending money with the owner here so whenever I'm in W Beauty it's because I'm usually checking for a hard to locate item or a last minute beauty "need". Three stars for the young staff who even though not always knowledgeable, I can't find fault with that because, they only started working here yesterday...always yesterday. The End. read more

If you asked me 3 months ago I would have given this business 5 stars. I have been going in there for 6 years. I was there yesterday had to deal with their extremely rude new cashier; then was followed out of store by another employee who stood behind me while I was opening my bag (I guess he didn't realize I knew he was right behind me). I let it go neighborhood has a lot of shoplifters. Then today went back for something I forgot yesterday and lipstick that I buy all the time there. I began placing items on counter so I wouldn't be followed out of store again and the new rude cashier told me not to place items on the counter. I like having a beauty shop close to me. Has lots of essentials that I use so I come here frequently. However, the employees don't know anything about the products. So don't let them deceive you, just look up the products if you have questions. Other than that, I don't really have anything bad to say. The prices are decent and they have a big selection. My daughter had a very horrible customer experience in W Beauty Supply store yesterday. Her first visit in this store, she was followed closely. Before leaving she was asked to show what was in her pockets and her bag was searched as a minor. She was one of four of her friends shopping after school but was the only one subjected to a STOP and SEARCH. It was unfortunate because she is the only one of her friends that looks like her. She doesn't understand why she was the only one in her group subjected to an embrarrassing search to show she hadn't taken anything. Moved into the neighborhood a while ago and have always passed by this place but never went in.. until today! In a whim to get my hair nice and shiny to go out, I stopped by this place to grab a flat iron. To my surprise, there were at least 20 different flat irons in addition to many different sizes of curling irons (decently priced I may add) for you to choose one. Since I already have a higher quality flat iron at home, I bought one for just under $10 that does the job to leave at the bf's place. There are also endless options of weaves, wigs, cosmetics, hair products, jewelry and many other beauty supplies in the store. Prices aren't really that bad to be honest and you'll find unique hair treatments for your hair that you won't find at the local Rite-Aid/CVs down the block. The min. for credit card is $10 and I didn't quite meet the requirement. However, the nice lady at the cashier let me pay with card anyway. Be aware that you cannot return your items for cash but you are allowed store credits or exchanges. read more

WILL NEVER SHOP @SHOPPING WHILE BEING A SUSPECT I had shopped here for the last 8 years. Some products are cheaper, but some seemed resold, mascara last for a week so I wonder if it is re-packaged. Only shopped here because it was convenient. FOLLOW - I was watched though I shopped here for years. There is only one person who has been here for a few years, otherwise there is a high turnover. Perhaps the thieves are in-house and not the customers? I will NOT shop at a store that treats me with disrespect. The owner could buy a security system that views everyone and not TARGET certain people! The owners have little respect for diversity and consumers should NOT SHOP - I'd rather spend more at BB or DR or RA. read more

Been here a few times, and I didn't really engage much with the people that work there until one day they accused me of stealing. One girl says she caught me on tape. Wha??? Please show me the tape. There was maybe 2 other people in the store, none of us looked alike (not even all the same race). A bottle of nail polish. Nail polish? I wasn't even in the nail polish section at any point. I'm sorry excuse me? What is that $2.99? Seriously WTF. I can't even begin to explain the ridiculousness of this, I don't fit any profiles, and shopping at a store like this is a dive for me. A serious dive. There is no possible way this dumbass trashy tacky ghetto non-english speaking idiot could have mistaken me, as there was no one else in the store that looked like me and at no point had I been in the nail polish section. They had me dump all of my contents of my purse out on the table. The guys doing it were very apologetic, knowing that she was... I really don't know what the benefit was to her, to try to embarrass me? Why that would embarrass me, I don't know since I obviously wasn't stealing... and there is no possible way she could have thought she saw me stealing. Crazy... I guess?? I just... wow... I am not a violent person, but if ever I was going to be, I would be violent with that skank working there. Seriously. W. T. F. This place is the absolute worst. I would never ever coming back here. I was in need of a new flat iron and walked by this place. It's a regular sized beauty supply store - lots of wigs and hair products. Not a huge selection of flat irons and curling irons but I found a good Baby Bliss one for about $55. The young kid that helped me was fairly nice but the owner seemed like a jerk. Saw him talk down to the workers twice. Also, no refunds, only exchanges and store credits. read more

I recently came and was racially profiled By the employees as I am a black dark women one asain lady and a white lady, the staff are very disrespectful and don't know how to treat customer. When I walked in the Asian lady looked me up and down like a pest and I brushed it off, as I continued shopping the white women followed me through the store for no reason when I had money. The asian lady claimed I looked like I was trying to steal when I went to the cash register and said she was watching me through security cameras from the minute I stepped In. I was doing what every other customer in the store was doing seeing as there wasn't any other black people and they only bothered me. If I simply walk in the store I dont know why you would think " I look like I'm about to steal." They treat people of darker skin complexion different in that store and the employees always seem to have a attitude and when I proved I wasn't stealing the Asian women continued to harass me around the store and tried to play it off as if she wasn't while she continued to give me dirty stares. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! NO STARS!!! I spent a lot of money in this store over the last few months.(well over $2,000) I recently bought a $135.00 hair extension set for a photoshoot. (I bought it 3 weeks prior so I can try it and do some test shots with photographer) They told me upon buying it that it is 100% human hair, can be washed and styled. They Even sold me the shampoo to use. I wore it for the test shoot, then actual photoshoot. Even though it was only worn a few hours (at most) i decided to wash it (since stylists hands touched it etc) I used very little shampoo, room temperature water, and was very gentle. The hair started falling apart. I immediately stopped washing and laid it hung to dry.. It looked like a birds nest. Knotted and a complete mess. (I'm downplaying how bad it really was) . I took it back to the store, the sales girls acted as if "oh no not again, another customer with same complaint" The manager Carlos came, looked it over and said "nothing I can do, its been almost a month". i asked if i can get a credit towards a new one. I was still offering to give them money. Silly me. Carlos looked at me, smirked and literally walked out of the store. HORRIBLE experience. They don't stand behimd their products and treat good customers like crap. read more

This place is amazing ,its bright and clean hard to miss with all the cool merchandise they have in display . there has been a time where a don't take something from here ,specially since I always change my hair color every two months .I like the people that are there and there experience. read more

I like this beauty store. They have a wide selection of cheap false lashes, which I love. The store is fairly big, but the staff does not seem knowledgeable as far as beauty goes. However, the staff is usually friendly and always asks if you need help, especially that Russian girl who is always so nice to me. I love the collections Of LA Girls makeup, like the setting powder and concealers. The rest of the makeup seems crappy, to be honest. However, I'll probably end up buying hair extensions here at some point because its cheap lol. I'll always be a customer here just because they carry inexpensive makeup staples. read more

Really good Customer Service. Workers are friendly and kind, always welcoming and asking for an assistant. Been shopping for a while and really happy with the products. Prices are also really good.
