Alana and her assistant did the hair and makeup for myself, my mother, and the rest of my bridesmaids. They drove out to my hotel room and set up there, which was amazingly convenient. I had opted to go for the trial as well, so Alana knew exactly how I wanted my hair and makeup on that day. My bridesmaids and mother were asked to bring pictures of how they wanted their own hair and makeup to look like. Alana hit it out of the park. Alana did my hair. I didn't know what style I wanted since I've never used flowers for a formal style before. I wanted a soft, relaxed look but needed the crown to be secure all day and survive possible wind and rain. Alana gave me a half-up do with a little hair spray and pinned down the crown without making my scalp feel tight. I was comfortable for the next 12 hours and the hair stayed perfect! Brittany did my makeup. She's a MAC artist with years of experience and good quality products. I don't use makeup regularly, so every time I've had my makeup done, I feel like a clown....except this time! Brittany was able to cover all the blemishes and enhance existing lines while keeping a natural look. The makeup also lasted my entire outdoor wedding. I want to clarify, we pay $15 in Kapaa and super cuts charges 2 men haircuts for $30. While this place is $25 for a men's haircut. I really do appreciate her message My Fiancé Came here back in September for a haircut. I will say, she was a very nice girl, but she did not do a good job. My fiancé has never had a haircut done without sheers, and she just used her clippers on his hair. She also had oopsed his hair, in the back where it is still not completely grown out 3 months later. when we went to another women in Kapaa, about a 45 minute drive from us in koloa, the new stylist asked if he went to super cuts because thats the quality it was at. She was also twice as much as super cuts and our new stylist in kapaa. We have not returned and do not plan to. I do not know about women hair cuts, but men haircuts was not worth the price. read more

Booking process and communication were great. Alana arrived on time on the day of my wedding, I was somewhat happy with my hair updo, but I wasn't impressed with my makeup, I showed Alana pictures of examples of the kind of makeup I wanted (soft, romantic look), but in the end, i not only looked like a different person, but the look I had wasn't soft or romantic at all. My monolid eyes looked smaller comparing with no makeup at all, my eyebrows were so pointed and skinny, I looked "angry". Also, during the session, Alana was bragging about her work, and that she age good money, she also was a arrogant when claimed that her first monolid (me) eye makeup was so good and I should post on instagram and brag about. She did do a great job on covering my tattoo though. So I'm giving her 3 stars. read more

About two weeks ago I booked Alana for my hair and make-up and then about a week later we added three more people for her to do. She made it work beautifully by bringing an assistant Danielle who was just as fabulous!!! They were there on time and got started right away. Alana did the make-up while Danielle did our hair. All the make-up looked incredible!! I never knew my eyes where that blue!! Make-up felt comfortable and lasted all day even with this humidity and I was in a semi heavy dress so worse for me but it stayed....lipstick and all!! She gave us a clean natural look that was just enough to give that pop you would want. I had sent pictures ahead of time of what i could possibly want from photos i found online which i did the same with my hair. All four of us had different make-up needs with age and skin types which they had no issues with. The air brush was incredilbe. Definetely helps witht he humidity. Danielle did our hair which we had an updo, pixie syle, down style, and a waterfall braid. We had thin hair, curly hair, layered hair, medium to long hair, short. She made each one of us incredibly happy!! The mother of the groom who has a pixie cut didn't think she would get her hair done since it is so easy but after watching Danielle do our hair she was sold on how incredible she would be able to make it look which she executed beautifully!!! Being the bride i was going to worry about my hair no matter what but i have rediculously thick hair which frizzes, curls, and is just plain impossible which I relayed to Alana prior to meeting her and she said no worries which she meant. I had my reservations because of how difficult my hair is in general but these ladies nailed it!! Danielle curled my hair, set it, took it out, and then Alana took over to add a waterfall braid in the back. She then added my moms hair peice to add the final touch which she had to figure out where to put some long pearl strands since my moms hair has always been much longer then mine so she pinned it to show no matter what. Not only did the make-up last all day but so did the hair! Can't say enough on how pleased we were with there services!! Wish we could take them back with us so I could get my hair done with them on a regular basis and use them for all my special occasions! Asked the husband what he thought and he joked that i looked so beautiful that he thought he was marring a different women when i walked down and would just go with it.
