My husband and I recently treated ourselves to amazing Lomi Lomi massages here recently for our wedding anniversary. He did the 80 minutes and I did the 50 minutes. We enjoyed it immensely! Easy check in. Jennifer took me to my treatment room. The rooms are small but very quiet. The beds are very comfortable with spa music. I was very impressed with her as she has good strong strokes, almost felt like deep tissue massage. I loved the little facial massage with lotion application at the end. I wish they did facials but not at this time because of the Covid pandemic. You can let her know which areas that need attention and she will do so. She was amazing! I saw about 4 treatment rooms but no steam rooms or such. It's a very simple place. Located on the second floor above the lobby at the Koa Kea resort.

I got the hot stone massage (I cannot remember the providers name) which was excellent and a facial with Natalie the first day of our visit.

This review is for the Anara spa pass (purchased through Resortpass). This was a perfect way to…read morespend the last few hours before our red eye flight out from Kauai. The spa area itself is small, but very relaxing. The women's area has locked rooms, outdoor rain showers (all with privacy curtains), 3 more accessible showers with doors/curtains, a steam room, sauna, and hot tub. All the bathroom amenities were provided including hair dryers, curlers, and straighteners, moisturizers, deodorant, and even SPF. I was also given slippers and a robe. Unlimited towels are available as well as scented cold towels to use after the saunas. There is also a tea bar, iced lemon water, iced tea, and snacks (almonds and a fruity trail mix). Food is available for purchase (with some hidden fees) and you are not allowed to bring in outside food. However, the spa pass does allow for in and out privileges so you could leave for food. The common area consists of some tables, a warmed lap pool, and 2 very hot jacuzzis with some loungers. We appreciated that most of the loungers were under the building's overhang which provided shade while sitting outside. There are also a few "wellness" books provided to read while lounging. Officially, the spa is supposed to be cell phone free, but this was not enforced. Complementary parking for the day was included in the pass, so we were able to explore the grounds of the hotel which were stunning and access the beach side walking path through the hotel. Just make sure to get your parking pass validated! I would highly recommend this experience, particularly if you want to decompress, shower, and change before a late flight.

Not so great. After…read moresearching online for spas in the area I decided to go with the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa located in the Sheraton Resort in Poipu. I was staying down the street and thought the location was convenient. I wish I would have gone with the Hyatt farther down the road. First, the spa consists of two adjoined hotel rooms. I don't know why it wasn't located next to the fitness center, so showers and locker facilities would be available. Yes, the hotel room had a bathroom with a shower however there weren't towels, etc. I began my experience with a Lomi Lomi massage and the masseuse was very concerned with finding out about my specific needs. The massage itself was good. I don't have any complaints and I felt like I received a benefit from it detox, relaxation, etc. What I didn't like was that I was not offered a robe, the room was bright, and the atmosphere was just not welcoming - it didn't feel like it was the oasis it should have been. Also, you could hear the people in the next room and they knocked on the door several times interrupting the relaxation. Next, I had a facial. When the esthetician arrived, she had to unpack all of her stuff, clanking around making all kinds of noise. She was a contractor and not a hotel employee. Again, I just didn't feel like the experience was special. During the facial she talked about her skin care line and frankly wouldn't shut up. I don't mind a little conversation or if the practitioner is explaining what they are doing but I was on vacation and wanted to relax. There was no use of steam to open my poors and she claimed that I didn't have any clogged poors, however when I got home I could plainly see them. The only enjoyable part of this facial was the papaya mask that was very cooling to the slight sun burn on my nose. In no way does this compare to some of the better spas that I have been to. The spa at the Mirage Hotel in Vegas - amazing! I felt ripped off. After spending $360.00, including the added gratuity fee I left disappointed and feeling it was a big waste of time and money.

I decided to splurge on a mani-pedi since I didn't have time to get it done before we left home…read more I thought: it's got to be better than the quick-paced places at home. I should have known better. Prices are always over-priced here, but $131.25 for a very basic manicure (she painted my cuticles) and an average pedicure. The gratuity was automatically added at 20% - I was not able to adjust it. And she automatically clicked "no receipt" (without asking me) so I didn't get a receipt. I'm not upset so much with her (she is very interesting and nice) as I am at myself. Like I said, I should have known better - not worth the $$$$
