Ridiculously priced ($225) for a 50 minute "massage" with automatic gratuity. Therapist are either not professionally trained or just lazy because they get the gratuity regardless (20% mandatory). We booked with the spa at Koloa Landing (where we also stayed) despite some negative reviews about limited, and/or non-functional amenities at the spa, and left feeling satisfied and relaxed! This is not a spa where you go receive a treatment and have quiet spas or pools to hangout in afterwards, but it has the basics needed for a treatment (gendered changing area with locker rooms, robes, slippers, combs, complimentary feminine hygiene products, drinking water, and shower). Having read the other reviews, I went into the experience knowing this, which allowed me enjoy the experience for what it was. We made sure to hit up the Holoholo grill beforehand for some champagne flutes for some extra relaxation! (Maybe this is something they could consider offering on site at the spa to upgrade the experience?) My boyfriend and I enjoyed the 90 minute couple's massage with hot stones, and a head scrub (that also doubled as a leave-in conditioning treatment that you didn't shampoo out/just rinsed out following the treatment). My boyfriend had Ilona as his masseuse, and I had Tony as my masseur - they were both professional and our massages were excellent! They also have a store on site that features some of the lotions/treatments used during your massage or other treatment for purchase - it was a little too expensive for my personal taste, especially after paying about 500 plus tip for our couple's massage! All in all, we enjoyed the experience, and the convenience of being able to book with a spa located at our hotel. We would book with them again! read more

I've had a few massages at this location and it's best for relaxation. Not to be confused with therapy or medical massage. This is a good spot for relaxation and unwinding after days of hiking or swimming. The therapists are responsive and take care to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. They were flexible since I needed to change the time of my appointment. A tad expensive and difficult to get ahold of as they don't answer the phone after 4 pm (at least that's what the receptionist told me when I walked to the desk after they didn't answer). While the spa itself doesn't have many amenities (ie no jacuzzi, functioning steam room, or sauna) the quality of the service was noteworthy. Splurged and bought two body scrubs/wraps with massages for my sister and I. This was such an amazing treatment, I could not recommend more highly. The treatment starts with a gentle full body scrub, followed by a quick shower. Then, body butter and other delightful things get massaged into you. My masseuse (Lei) asked what areas I wanted her to focus on, and she did an amazing job focusing on all the right spots. They then wrap you up in some foil type of thing, and give you a scalp treatment with the goodness soaks in. What a lovely treatment. My sister had a pretty bad sunburn, and her masseause was so gentle. She still had an amazing treatment. I do wish this spa had amenities, like a sauna and hot tub. There is nothing like that here. Waiting room could also use some sprucing, and some complimentary teas/water and the like. My treatment was so amazing though I didn't even care! The massage itself was a bit odd as it didn't have any rhythm or consistency to it, he would start somewhere then jump somewhere else and wouldn't linger more than a few seconds on any one part so just as something felt good it would be over. There also wasn't symmetry, what was done to one arm wasn't the same as the other and the right side of my back wasn't really done. His fast movements felt a bit "grippy" more than massage like and the fast pace reminded me of a Chinese massage a little. Definitely not worth $200. read more

Not only does he do amazing deep tissue, he can combine technique according to need. I highly recommend adding on hot stones and a scalp massage. He also is intuitive, kind, professional and such a lovely person. And I've had many massages all over the world. This was truly one of the best. And Shelbie at the front is always such a sweetheart too. They also sell lovely products and gifts. I was offered to do a add on, so I decided on the Orange Blossom aromatherapy. Did the 60 minute lomi lomi massage with Hope. She was amazing! I was happy with her strokes and pressure. She used different techniques that I didn't receive at other massage places. The room was nice and the massage bed was very comfortable. The music was light spa type. Their restroom and locker area is small, the waiting area was simple. The spa is located in a building within the hotel right across from the front desk in the Koloa Landing lobby. My husband booked us massages to not only celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, but for our first trip away since our daughter was born (right before the pandemic lockdowns). First red flag should have been that they don't respond to emails even though they give that as a "contact us" option on their website. We got a call from the spa less than an hour before our scheduled appointment time today to inform us that our massages had been canceled due to a massage therapist calling out sick. No accountability. No sincere apology. No "here's what we can do instead." The woman I spoke to on the phone point blank lied to me when I asked why no one reached out to us earlier and told me they'd been calling us since yesterday. I reviewed our phone logs and only show a couple of missed calls from today, which we didn't actually receive until the same time their voicemail came through (cell reception is super spotty here). They didn't contact the front desk or the concierge to reach us. No messages on our room phone. They made the least effort possible. We called them back as soon as we got their voicemail and they said "oh, sorry, the massage therapist just left." When I asked what they planned to do to fix this they just said "sorry." I said that wasn't acceptable and they basically blamed my husband for not answering his phone or checking his voicemails (while we're on vacation ‍). I'm well aware of this being a first world problem. But as a woman who suffered a massive trauma during her labor and delivery (which left me with PTSD), and legitimately needs this kind of body care, I am finding it incredibly difficult to be generous about this. I would have expected some level of accountability or some kind of effort to make up for this. Not a shrug and a "too bad." Special shout out to the hotel's concierge (who is NOT associated with this spa) for going well above and beyond to find us a new masseuse from off site to come out tomorrow. And in the future, I'd urge you to support a local business instead of this overpriced spa with horrific customer service. Would leave 0 stars, I could. read more

My mom and I just went here a few days ago as a relaxing way to start our vacation, and we were not disappointed! The spa is beautiful and clean. They do a good job of creating a relaxing atmosphere in the waiting room. The women's bathroom/locker room is clean and well appointed. We were both very happy with our clinicians and the treatments we got. (I got a facial and she got a foot and scalp massage). My skin still feels great even now, few days later! We didn't take advantage of the pool afterward, but did walk down to look at it and it looked very pretty. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because there was constant loud noise outside of the window of my room while I was getting my facial. It sounded like construction or yard work going on. I know that's necessary at times, so I tried not to get too annoyed. However it lasted the entire hour I was getting my facial and it did make it hard for me to relax as much as I would've liked. (My mom could not hear it from the room she was in.). The woman giving me my treatment was apologetic about it. Otherwise I do recommend-- a great experience for the price! We wish we could actually rate the services here because, despite calling a month in advance and putting a time down over the phone, our appointment was nowhere to be found on day of. We really looked forward to a couples massage on our honeymoon and planned one of our three days in Kauai around the spa session but whoever booked us over the phone didn't follow through. Front desk staff of course couldn't make any kind of amends. Make sure you get a confirmation email, which they told us they would send but we never got.
