OH YES how enjoyable camping has been over the past six days here at Echo Island RV Resort since arriving here with my family. We are on a cross country trip that started in the Poconos. This is a super place to stay. Much like the best established campgrounds back home in the beautiful Pocono Mountains in the great state of Pennsylvania, this place is peacefully nestled in the beautiful mountains of Utah. Easy pull-through sites let you drive straight in and pull straight out, without backing up (great for big units like mine), easily-accessed back-in sites, clean swimming pool area, spotless restrooms, kids play area, nicely-equipped convenience store, and many more amenities, make Echo Island RV Resort a perfect place for camping. It has a safe family-oriented environment, as well. Our entire camping experience has been painless. Echo Island RV Resort has got to be one of the best campgrounds in this region. Congratulations to the manager and staff for providing my family with a pleasant 6-day camping experience. This is a great campground! Located within easy access to the highway and close enough to conveniences while still feeling relaxing and secluded. We got a space in the back which has a fenced patio area, perfect for dogs and kids to play without worrying! Would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a getaway or just passing through! Close to park city, salt lake, reservoirs, skiing and sight areas in northern Utah! They have fire pits, good walking areas, grass areas for kids to play. Pickle ball courts, pools, zip lining, you name it! So much fun! We will definitely stay here again! read more

I arrived at 4:45 PM, well before the scheduled 5:00 PM closing time, yet the office was already closed with only a card left out for me. Things went downhill from there. Upon reaching my assigned site, I found it in disrepair: the picnic table was crushed, the fire ring was missing, and the 20-amp breaker was broken. While other sites appeared to be in better condition, mine was completely neglected. To make matters worse, while I was out fishing the next morning, my tablecloth and door mat were stolen from the site. Despite being booked for three nights, I decided to cut my losses and leave after just one. I never saw a single staff member during my stay. As a business owner myself, I find it unacceptable to rent out a site in this condition. I cannot recommend this park. read more

I'm reviewing this place as someone who camped in a tent. First of all, this place is beautiful. I have no complaints about the place itself. It was clean, bathrooms were nice, it's a fun place to walk around in the evening. However the office staff never seemed to be there. I had my booking for 2 people, 2 dogs and 2 cars, which costs more than one person, one dog and one car. But no one was ever in the office for me to see if I could get a refund for the second person (she decided it was too cold to camp so stayed down the street in an air bnb) The place was also a bit confusing to navigate since the spots aren't numbered in any way that I could find. I was there for 3 nights, the first two nights the showers got warm, after about 5 minutes of waiting. But the last night it never got hot. In fact the water was icy cold. But I never saw another staff member to let them know. It was very peaceful during the week. It seemed like only long term people were there to stay. Overall, it was a nice place. I'd probably stay here again if I was in the area but it definitely would be a better experience for an rv camper, rather than a tent camper I think. (Mainly because of how the camp sites are placed and the shower situation) I do wonder if this place would have been better during summer months when it's busy? (Staff wise) I stayed here in May. However I enjoyed the peace and quiet before school was out and the place filled with kids. read more

Practically perfect, for any family or wholesome fun you can think of. You read that right, your kids and you have a myriad of amenities at your fingertips. From fishing in either the pond or river, to summer sunset films beneath a tree canopy. Don't forget the pool and spa either, just adjacent the clubhouse. I almost forgot to mention the farmland flanking the resort. It was truly a treat, waking to either a cow or horse standing on the other side of a fence, waiting for an afternoon apple. The only bitter pill to swallow was, the abrupt spring and summer rate hike. The previous manager neglect to mention this to many of us, making for an untimely exit. Called while traveling to get a spot for over night and the message said they close at 6pm it was 5:15. Called over and over and then left a message. When we arrived it was about 5:45 the place was closed. Directions said take a map choose a spot and then settle up in the morning. Well the box of maps was empty. We went to the website and booked online. Waited and waited for the email they gives you your spot. It was getting dark and late and had been traveling all day. Park was very empty so we just took a spot. The park is beautiful with great toys for kids, a pond and a creek. Two pickle ball courts and a pool. Only giving 3 stars because they closed early, map holder empty, didn't return our call until the next day which was too late and took too long to assign us a spot. When we did get the email with the assigned spot we were already in one and all set up. The spot they assigned was right next to another camper in an almost empty campground. The people a few spots over from us kept us up till past midnight with their partying and yelling profanities. With no one to call that would answer the phone like a camp host to keep campers in check we just had to deal with it. Made for a tiring morning as we were up early to hit the road again. I would stay here again they just need to manage the park better and not skip out before closing. read more

It's a great idea, nice area, and they're putting a ton of plants and trees in. The idea just isn't executed well. The Loop roads are too narrow, difficult to traverse, and most of the sites are just too short for the mansions on wheels that frequent the place. So when it was absolutely packed last weekend, it was a nightmare. There's one bathroom for a good portion of the camp, and of course 2 of those were out of order. One was quite literally out of order for a broken door knob. The remaining bathrooms were not regularly stocked or maintained at all. If you're going to install a white theme all over, please clean it regularly. I let staff know about no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms one morning, and he was much more worried about the pool maintenance on the pool that still had 2 hours before it opened. There were 7 other people behind me wanting to use a bathroom with no toilet paper. The activity area is also right in the middle of many camps, so you're walking through a strangers camp to get to it no matter which way you go. read more

This was a beautiful campground that was well groomed, clean very quiet in the evening. We stayed in a 16' trailer with a tent on site. I'd requested near a restroom for my disabled elderly mother and we had site C47. It was absolutely perfect for our needs with both sites next to us vacant. Even if they were occupied, there was plenty of shade and a large grassy area with plenty of room for the tent, chairs and our dog to chill out away from other dogs that tend to create anxiety for him. The site was a gravel back in and not level so it took a bit to level but fine once that was done. There are 4 different areas: the front lot, central with pools, extended area across first bridge with river circling and the furthest area with the fishing pond and larger pull throughs. One of the pools and hot tub were open while we were there and likely the other is open on the weekends when they also require all swimmers to obtain a number to swim to avoid over crowding. The staff is great. There is a small store with camp essentials, slushy drinks and fishing poles for purchase. There is also a snack stand near the volleyball that has burgers, hot dogs, nachos etc. We were here for one night and enjoyed the pool and evening tranquility. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is for the obnoxious children at the pool running around cannonballing everyone that was trying to relax while the parent stared at his phone and ignored their bad behavior. I had to ask a very young child to not cannonball into the hot tub while we were in it but he didn't listen and did it again. The parent finally got a text and had to leave and they went kicking and screaming away. The lounge chairs were in great condition and the pool was well maintained. I was told this place was booked up for Friday and Saturday. If you like crowded places with lots of kids running lose then this is the place for you on the weekend. We enjoyed it on a Thursday and don't think I would have enjoyed it as much when it is full. Check in by entering a code that is texted/emailed to you and following the road in to a building near the pool. It could be a bit better marked, but we found it okay following another camper. My boys (age 11) were hoping for more activities than swimming. We had our bikes, but other than that unless you fish, they wasn't much else available. We were there for a one night stop through and it served our purpose just fine. It is apparent the owners take pride in this resort and I would definitely return again on our next drive through the area. read more

I really liked this RV park a lot. There are enough trees and lush greenery to make you forget that you're right off the interstate. The River running though is a delightful natural white noise and the people here are so friendly. This trip was the maiden voyage of our new camper and we were super green and struggling with many of the basics. Our neighbors noticed and came to our aid and taught us some neat tips and tricks that we wouldn't have ever known otherwise. Thy also continued to check on us throughout the weekend and made sure we were all set to go. I love the RV community! So many kind people. This park has a little store, a food truck, a pool and hot tub, a small swing set and basketball court. Fires were allowed when we came sh the store sells fire wood and will even deliver it to your site. On weekends they show an outdoor movie on a big projector. I really liked that a text went out daily to all guests that told us information like when the food truck was open, and when and which movie were going to be shown. Wifi was decent, full hookups all worked as expected. The pad itself is gravel and we had a little trouble with getting level, but that could also be our inexperience. Fun time and will definitely return! read more

Nice place with lots to do for children. Pool hours are limited to two hours on the weekend- kind of a bummer. You aren't really told upfront about all the "fees" involved with your stay. You pay a nightly fee for an RV Spot (approx $65/night) and an additional fee for any tent ($10/tent/night) you put on your site- BUT- that DOES NOT include the people who will be sleeping in those tents or RV's. There is another $3 fee per person- per day- on top of the RV and tent site fees. Seems kind of shady. And there is also a daily vehicle fee ($5/day/vehicle). So you start to feel nickeled and dimed by the time you see the bill. We had a nice time and thought we'd love to come back again- but the shadiness of the fees and how your told what you're being charged left a bad taste in our mouths. read more

Was a great weekend until there was an incident when I was walking my dog. My dog bit a little girl on the leg when she was riding her bike. I stopped to make sure she was okay and then took my dog back to camp. While I was walking back to talk to the family they approached me and began screaming at me telling me they were going to kill my dog and my family. The camp owners told us that we had to leave with the dog but did not make the 3 men who were in my face yelling at me leave. Unbelievable horrific incident and all the owners said "it was just threats" Never again will me or my family go there. read more

The park is beautiful! We booked a spot online but were disappointed that it was located right by the highway. The front desk was nice enough to swap our spaces. They have beautiful trees and lost of grass for the kids to run and play. The river that runs through it is beautiful. The WiFi was not the best, but was good for what we needed. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area. read more

Came from Las Vegas. We stayed 7 nights at campsite H7. This was in my opinion the 3rd best site they had . It had a small river view where most sites there you cannot see the river. H7 was also close to the pool on 1 side which they had opened. Pool water kinda chilly but lots of people were using it. Also had a hot tub there. On the other side was the Fishing pond . I went fishing 5 days in a row but caught nothing. I used power bait, worms and lures too. It sucked I didn't catch anything BUT I did see people catch trout out of there a few times. It was relaxing out there though . The fishing license for the pond is $5 a day or 2 days for $8. The campsite itself was beautiful. The grass was up kept nicely, the had Full Hook UPS, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you dint have wood , just call the office and they will deliver you some . $6 a bundle. Each site is spaced nicely too. The stars were gorgeous at night and it was very quiet out there. Pets: You can have dogs there if they are leashed. But there is a cool hill by the pond that you can let your pets roam freely . They had Movie nights by the volleyball court on Friday and Saturday. They served popcorn and ice cream. As far as the employees go: They were ALL super friendly and went out of their way to help out. I was nervous at first when we got there because I'm considered High Risk health wise so I wanted to keep social distancing from everyone. The staff respected my request for social distancing and were very accommodating. Darryl is the park manager and first to greet us. He is very professional and helpful, Anthony was a grounds keeper and host and was also super nice and helpful. Sharon and Jacob also worked there and were very friendly. We will definitely be back again and I would recommend this place to friends . read more

Had the opportunity to stay here last weekend. I was impressed with all the shade and grass. The full hookups were really a treat as we are used to dry camping. There are campfire rings in all the campsites but some are actually IN the ground instead of setting on top of the ground. We had to be extra careful with our little ones. The ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful. The pool and bathrooms were clean but they did run out of soap after a busy weekend by Sunday. We were a little disappointed that sometimes they would only have one pool open at a time but figured it was due to the cleaning schedule. Picnic tables at the campsite are made of aluminum which was helpful to put my flat top griddle on. Some campsites are more private than others. So be sure to look at the map before you book. I believe there is a fee to pick your site unfortunately. We enjoyed fishing at the campground pond which requires a $15 fee but the pass is good for a whole year. Didn't catch anything, but maybe that was just because we aren't super experienced fishermen. Lol. I did want to mention that I had a particularly good interaction with one of the bathroom attendants. My kiddo had one too many s'mores the night before and got sick all over her sleeping bag. Yuck. Therefore, of course I needed to use the laundry facility that next morning. I was unprepared for this and didn't have any laundry soap and the office was still closed so I couldn't buy it there. I was hoping I could purchase it in the laundry room but no luck. I asked the kind attendant if she knew where I could get some and she kindly offered to go retrieve some from her rv and come right back. ::gasp:: I offered to pay her but she refused and said "I hope your little one is feeling better and the rest of your trip is great." I think that went above and beyond as far as being a helpful employee. Wish I remembered her name but hoping the owners will commend her for her service. :) hoping next time we come there might be more scheduled activities for the kids and maybe a food truck? Overall we had a great experience and would definitely book there again. read more

Really disappointed in this campground. We've stayed here before and loved it but it seems to really have been let go. We were originally put in a site that had a large tree which was resting on our trailer. After trying to move sites, the manager told us no, even though there were plenty of sites empty. The next day we started seeing these red spider mites in our trailer and in our food. We notified the manager and he said it would take a week to get someone out to spray, even though we weren't staying for that long. Finally we spoke to someone else and within 2 minutes he had us in a new site and we were able to move. It appears the manager was all about the money. Also disappointed that the trees hang so low that large rigs can't pull through the normal access route without taking out trees. There were weeds all over the gravel sites and looks like they really just don't care about the business any longer. Last year was such a pleasant experience and this year, not so much. read more

We stayed in July and there was an aggressive pit bull in the site next to us - which caused us concern about our own dogs, our children and others walking by. My husband mentioned that their website listed a ban on certain breeds and after verifying this online, I called the main line in a VERY friendly tone. A man answered and when I inquired on the breed restrictions, he was condescending and actually laughed at me. He then said, "as long as it's not an anaconda or a lion, it's welcome here." When I asked about the online policy, he laughed again and told me it was outdated. We will never stay at this "resort" again -- mainly due to how I was spoken to and treated. On their website under guest policy guide, it states: Pet Policy Including Breed Restriction Policy The purpose of this policy is to insure the best possible environment for all of our guests, both pet owners and non-pet owners and to insure the responsible care of all pets. Pets shall be restrained (Dogs and Cats must be leashed) when on the park property outside of the Owners RV. All guests who wish to bring a pet shall inform management before their stay. No pets are allowed in our Cabins or Tipi's, Swimming Pool area, Club House or any building on the property. Allowed common household pets such as dogs, cats and fish are allowed except         for the following restricted dog breeds. RESTRICTED DOG BREEDS- NOT ALLOWED IN THE PARK Pit Bulls Rottweilers German Shepherds Huskies Alaskan Malamutes Doberman Pinschers Chow Chow Presa Canario Boxers Dalmatian Each Pet owner is limited to having 2 pets on site. Pet owners must be able to maintain control over their pets at all times. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended in RV'S or tied up outside unattended. Pets are not allowed to disrupt the park with excessive noise (barking, whining, crying). Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Dog Stations are available around the park. This is the best RV park in the area. The staff is great, especially Misty. The park is clean and well maintained. The pools and hot tubs are awesome. The bathrooms and laundry are always clean. The RV spaces are spaced farther apart than most RV parks and it's very convenient to I-80. The river and fishing pond in the park are a really cool bonus and its very close to Echo Reservoir. It's only about 20 minutes from Park City which has really great restaurants, mountain biking, hiking and skiing. The RV park includes a couple of cabins and some tipis, so it's perfect for family reunions or enjoying time with friends who don't have tents or RVs. The wildlife is also very cool. We've seen mule deer, osprey, eagle and many other birds. Its a really great place to escape, but still close enough to Ogden, Salt Lake or Park City to be accessible. I recommend this park to everyone - it is a beautiful place and we love visiting. read more

great staff there all the hosts are fantastic except for misty , her children are disrespectful to other hosts and her husband took it upon himself to yell at my grandkids when they were at the pool using foul language towards them after they had just recently lost their mother. we love this place and will return as long as she is no longer a employee there. we have family that are from coalville and they also refer their friends and family to the resort but will stop if she countiunes to be employed with you establishement read more
