This was found in my room. The room was rented out clean & ready? Indication of the type of guest rooms are being rented to and cleanliness. Since the change of management things have really gone down. Never before experienced anything like this been using the hotel for 2 years.

The staff is great!!!!! The place a a wonderful location and a great price. I love the feel of an old motel but all done modern. Very clean rooms, soft beds, fridge, mocrowave, and decent size towels I would stay here again with out even looking at the price.

This is just disrespectful. Throw this away! At least let the bedding "appear" to be clean.

A trip to Sacramento had my friend and I spending a night at the Echo Lodge. An honest review of a not-so terrible not-so great experience. Would recommend to those with light pockets but not if you're planning a multi day trip. Positive Points: Clean - No obvious fresh dirt/grime of any kind. No bugs. Wi-Fi - Always a plus and the TV was good quality. Ok channels too Fridge/Microwave - Very Helpful since we brought tons of food and drink items Bathroom - Clean towels. Clean shower. Hot water. Negative Points: Smelly - two hours of keeping the window open and some perfume helped immeasurably Outdated/Used Up - The top bedding had TONS of old stains and even a cigarette hole. Come on now! ( I want to note that the bottom bedding + sheets looked fine). Pillows were either too flat or lumpy. Noise - the sound of mating humanoids, stomping, and loud snoring kept me up all night. This is not a place for a relaxing getaway... Endnotes: We wanted a cheap clean room with a bed and bathroom and essentially we got exactly that. You get what you pay for. My advice would be to bring your own bedding and some febreeze. The staff lady is nice. Neighborhood is alright not too shady like I was expecting. (Wal-Mart and other groceries are nearby another plus).

I don't understand why this place is open. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. I was scared when I got to the hotel, it looked like a hotel from a horror movie. The room smelled funky, the carpet was dirty and so was the restroom. My room was located on the first floor and whoever stayed above us sounded like they had a stomping challenge the whole night! Would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you are a creeper and want to take someone for a one night stand.

Pros: * Had a non-smoking king and the room itself was in decent condition * Bed was very comfortable * Good TV and satellite service * Very cheap Cons: * Bad neighborhood - I told one of my friends that I was staying there and he offered me place on his couch * Horrific smell in the reception area While I liked the place, I didn't remotely feel safe there and wouldn't stay there again

Empty lot -- said no other availability

For about $60 you get a clean place. That's about as good as you can hope for. Also, unexpectantly, didn't see prostitutes or drug dealers.

I paid for a parking permit at this hotel and left with over $3,000 in vehicle damage, due to what…read moreI can only describe as gross mismanagement and a total lack of accountability. For transparency, this happened in October 2024. I've tried to move on, but the situation has weighed heavily on me since, which is why I'm writing this review now. We checked in earlier in the evening and paid $10 for a parking permit. When we returned later that night, the parking lot was completely full -- not just full, but so congested that cars were parked directly in front of the lobby doors. Despite being at or near capacity, the hotel continued selling parking permits. My partner went to the front desk to ask what we were supposed to do. The front desk employee told her verbatim that we could park in a red zone inside the hotel's parking lot, as long as we didn't block a fire hydrant. We relied on that instruction and parked exactly where we were told, leaving ample clearance around the car. When we checked out, my car had clearly been hit overnight. There was a large dent in the passenger door with white paint transfer. The damage was significant enough that the entire door had to be replaced, costing over $3,000. As if my car -- which was only eight months old at the time -- being hit wasn't bad enough, the hotel somehow managed to make an already bad situation worse. Hotel management, led by then-manager Sarah Dirisu, was completely unhelpful and avoided responsibility at every turn. After countless phone calls attempting to reach management, and being told multiple times by staff that management was "offsite," the hotel eventually claimed their cameras "couldn't see" the area where my car was parked. Not only was I refused access to any footage, I was not even allowed to view whatever footage they claimed to have. Law enforcement also requested footage and was similarly denied. Hilton's internal "investigation" was handled by Mike McClain, a Hilton claims adjuster, who concluded that Hilton had done nothing wrong. An employee of the company investigating his own company and finding no fault does not inspire confidence. While I am not alleging that anyone intentionally damaged my car, I am stating exactly what happened: the hotel oversold parking, instructed a guest to park in a prohibited area, and then stonewalled when predictable damage occurred. The refusal to share or even allow viewing of footage -- including with police -- speaks volumes about how seriously guest concerns are taken. This entire situation was preventable. The hotel could have stopped selling parking permits, offered refunds, or simply admitted they were at capacity. Instead, they chose the path of least effort and zero accountability. If you care about your vehicle, transparency, or basic responsibility from a hotel you're paying to stay at, do not stay here. Also, the rooms themselves are rug-stained, rundown, and wildly overhyped -- closer to a Motel 6 experience than a Hilton-branded stay.

The rooms were very clean which is the most important thing to me. I just wiped down some of the high touch areas like for handles, remote, phone, and light switches. They were already clean but I just like knowing that I sanitized them. I feel very comfortable lounging in the bed and laying out my belongings. The room comes with a Keuring with 2 cups (1 regular, 1 decaf), a bucket for ice, a microwave and a fridge. It does not come with toothbrush or toothpaste and does not have hand wash (I used the bar soap which is a bit drying) I also love their complimentary breakfast. There's always fruit, bagels and bread, scrambled eggs, a breakfast meat, tea and coffee (including decaf). The fridge has milk, choco milk and yogurt. There's a machine for apple or orange juice. The BEST part is their waffle station. Very well maintained and made the perfect waffles. There's even 2 types of waffles you can make! I love it here and will be back when I need to be in the area!

However, there were a few unexpected issues that were disappointing, especially after reading so many positive reviews. A couple of the face towels in the bathroom had a noticeable mildew smell, which was unpleasant. In addition, the air conditioner was extremely loud throughout the night. It repeatedly turned on around 1:00 a.m., 2:00 a.m., 3:00 a.m., and 4:00 a.m., making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I hope management will address these issues, as they would make a big difference in the overall guest experience. Other than that, our stay was fine, and I appreciate your attention to this feedback.

The staff saw I was a bit nervous/anxious and immediately without my knowledge, jumped into "Action". I asked about having flowers delivered.... Then they gave me recommendations for attractions and events for the holiday weekend "Do you have any dinner reservations we can help with"....these were some of the suggestions and questions I got ‍‍‍ After exploring, I came back to see if my room was ready, and I had been upgraded to a Suite, which had a view overlooking the River Then she arrives ‍‍ And I head to the lobby to greet her, she asked to see my room, so we went back up & upon arrival...the flowers I had ordered were in front of my door she was so surprised and I totally wasn't expecting that delivery by the staff I showed her the room and the view then we went horseback riding. The atrium was fun for the kids to see their friends and the breakfast was wonderful! The hardest part for me was waking up to a pretty serious water leak above my bed dripping consistently on the pillow next to me. I immediately called the front desk and the person I spoke with didn't seem concerned at all and said the engineer wasn't in until 7am. My daughter was sleeping soundly, but having a steady flow of water dripping on my bed meant I was up at 4:45am with a third full day of education ahead of me. Literally nothing was done to improve the situation and I just hope and pray the leak was fixed before they put anyone else in the room. It would have been nice to offer SOMETHING to make things right. Don't stay in room 420 or at least ask if the water leak has been fixed!

The tall ceilings and quiet rooms--thanks to excellent insulation--made the stay very comfortable. I also liked the different water options available near the front desk, especially since the bottled water in the rooms cost $10 each. The music in the pool area created a great atmosphere, and the jacuzzi was a nice size and very enjoyable. However, the main issue was the mandatory valet fee--even when not using valet service. This makes no sense and feels unreasonable. If arriving by Uber or not bringing a car, there is no justification for being charged valet. The website does not clearly state that valet is mandatory, and there was no prior notice when booking. At check-in, staff simply said, "We have to charge it anyway," regardless of whether the service was used. The fee is also quite high at $52 per night, which adds up quickly for a service not utilized. According to previous reviews, valet fees have increased significantly over the past three years. I would not stay at this Westin Hotels & Resorts location again. The accumulation of mandatory fees makes the experience feel transactional rather than guest-focused. I would much rather voluntarily tip valet staff when I actually use and appreciate their service, rather than be required to pay a substantial fee regardless of need. Overall, while the hotel has many appealing qualities, the mandatory valet charge without clear disclosure or usage was a major drawback.

The room was clean, but overall it was fairly basic and nothing particularly memorable. In the kitchenette, there was a kitchen towel provided but no dish soap. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were also very basic. Breakfast on Saturday morning was disappointing. The selection was limited, and the scrambled eggs ran out. When we asked if more eggs were coming, we were told they would be replenished, but they never were. What bothered me most, however, was the billing process. Upon checkout on Sunday morning, I received a receipt showing room charges of $229.64 per night for two nights, totaling $459.28. However, my credit card was charged $310.16 and $289.84, bringing the total pending charges to $600. When I called for clarification, I was told that the hotel places a $100 deposit hold and that the amount was "rounded up." While I completely understand and accept a standard $100 incidental deposit, I did not authorize additional charges beyond the stated room rate and deposit. The clerks also explained that the $100 incidental deposit had already been released and that the charges should correct themselves within 2 to 10 business days, depending on my bank. While I appreciate the explanation, it would have been helpful if this process had been communicated more clearly at check-in or checkout. Seeing $150 in additional pending charges without prior notice is extremely concerning. Overall, the hotel was adequate for a graduation weekend stay, but the basic amenities, underwhelming breakfast, and especially the confusing billing practices would make me think twice before booking here again.
