See the screenshots. In my opinion, this is a bait-and-switch pricing model. The advertised price appears designed to get customers through the door, while the real deal depends on financing markups or costly add-ons that were never clearly disclosed upfront. The difference amounted to well over 20% of the advertised price. When I pushed back, the salesperson attempted to pressure me into the add-ons and acted as though I was the problem for refusing them. Do your homework. Absolutely terrible experience. Would never purchase a car from them. We went through the process of on buying a car online and put our deposit down. Someone called us and to come in a schedule the rest of the paperwork. We drove down there and they guys asked if we there for a test drive and said oh sorry the car your looking at just sold. We said we down a deposit so it should have been to us. He said oh ya ya ya okay how do you want to pay and tried to talk to us about financing. We said we are paying for the car in full today and have a check. He then informed us that they would only take a cashiers check. None one mentioned that to us the multiple times we test drove this car or when they called. He tried to get us to take out a loan then pay it off so we can take the car the night. The only thing we took that night was ourselves out the door and never went back. I'm unable to give this dealership a good review. My husband and I went in together, and all four of our cars plus our motorcycle are fully paid off. I simply didn't want to drive my BMW every day anymore because of gas prices, so I was looking for something inexpensive. Right away, the salesman asked about my credit score in the greeting. I have never been to a dealership where that's the first or second thing out of someone's mouth. Normally, they ask what you're looking for or your price range. I didn't mind discussing credit later, but not as an opener. When he asked whether I planned to pay cash or finance, I told him finance. We have zero debt and credit scores over 810. The car I was interested in was only $6,500, and it's actually good to keep a little active credit. We also thought the car might be something to pass down to our son in a couple of years. Instead of helping, the salesman told me it's "hard to get approved for used cars" and basically implied you need a perfect score. I've bought around nine cars in my life, and I know dealerships are not in the business of keeping cars on the lot. I literally had the check from navy federal. This was my first visit and definitely my last. I ended up going to Weber Chevrolet instead.ng read more

I've been in sales for 24 years and they put the EWWW in used. After 90 minutes of trying to get a car for my son, I walked out, appalled at the shady way they present the numbers. There is a difference between selling someone good or services and taking advantage of them. Had I not been there, my son, not knowing any better, would have agreed to finance thousands of dollars' worth of things he didn't even know he was agreeing to. They said don't worry it will go off, nothing to worry about. I was finally able to get it looked at last month. I now need a new engine. $5,800 to replace. I contacted them, Kinzie Chesterfield Mo office. She said she would contact her supervisor and they'll get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. She is not answering my calls. We had a terrible experience at Echo Park when trying to buy a used car. We found a 2024 Nissan Sentra listed at $17,498, took it for a test drive, and then went inside to work on financing. The salesperson had my daughter enter her information into an iPad to apply for a loan, which could only be done through the site's sponsored banks. He came back with a $380 monthly payment, even after I explained we were putting $5,000 down and only needed a $12,000 loan. When I asked to see the loan breakdown and interest rate, it took him 15 minutes to provide it, despite supposedly already having the numbers. The breakdown included a $699 appearance fee, two warranties for $649 and $799, a $600 documentation fee, and $1,500 in sales tax, bringing the total to $21,500. I asked to remove the warranties, but was told the appearance fee was mandatory--shouldn't that be included in the sticker price? Even after removing the warranties, the payment was $320, and he refused to give a loan amount minus the down payment, saying the $5,000 would just go toward the principal. The breakdown never included the interest rate or bank, and he kept asking how much she was willing to spend instead of giving direct answers, often disappearing to talk to the manager. Two of the warranties are for the same thing? What is a permaplate? And why do I need to be charged twice for it? The next day, we went to Enterprise Sales and left with a used car. It appears this review has been removed by Google. I can see it on my Google page but none of my co-workers can find this review on EchoPark's page. Don't fall for this bait and switch BS place! I went in and test drove a vehicle and told the man I wanted to purchase it. I informed him that I would be paying cash for it, and I needed to go grab a cashier's check. He said he would be back with a price sheet. After about 30 minutes he returns with a price that was more than SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS higher than the listed price. The tax was added on, which is fine, but then there was a $700 dent protection, another $700 charge that he said was not removable, and an almost $4,000 warranty. I told him I didn't want any of that. He walked back to a desk to talk to another guy, came back and told me that they could remove the dent protection and the other $700 thing that he said was not removable, but they would not sell me the car unless I bought the warranty. A total waste of time! This was a 2024 Chevy Trax for $20,497. I just looked up a brand new 2026, the same color, and higher package model, and it was $25,000... $2,000 less than they were trying to scam me for! read more

The testing and buying process was fine- over promised on the warranty. Two days after we bought the car, the EMS System light came on. we got the car teste, emissions failed immediately. Long story short, the car needed $2600 worth of repairs! Horrible warranty wouldn't cover anything, and I tried to call the dealership MULTIPLE TIMES. and they blew me off every time. they sold us a car needing that much damages barely over a month later, and they can't even return a phone call? Incredibly unprofessional. Because it's an emission issue, we'll have to involve the state now. Me and my husband put a deposit down on the car we wanted, and had to call several times to get the final price we needed to pay. we were given several different prices that were fairly close together, and online gave us a different number. when we finally got ahold of somebody, they told us the price was $3000 more than what we were originally told by multiple people and their website. turns out they were forcing us to buy it with the warranty, which we did not want. instead of taking off the warranty and taking the sale, they told us there was nothing they could do and ended up refunding our deposit. Worst business practice in sales ever seen. Wife, daughter and I stopped in to buy a replacement vehicle for daughter. She chose three cars to test drive and did such. Neither car was a good fit so we asked to move up in size- AND PRICE- and our sales rep refused, telling us they had a three car limit. We were in shock- felt like we were getting punk'd. I stepped inside and asked the first two people I saw at the front desk about the "three strikes and you're out policy". One stayed silent (silence is an affirmation), the other said the "three car rule" was only for Saturdays. Still couldn't believe what we were hearing. That same gentleman, however, said he would help us. Told him our car had been appraised and we needed the keys and appraisal. That same guy said he would get our keys and appraisal information. Our salesman walked passed him and gave him a friendly tap on the shoulder. That same guy walked away, returned with our keys only, and went back to doing his work at the front desk. No offer to retrieve the fourth car for a test drive. No offer by the silent person at the front counter, having heard the entire exchange, to assist us. I've now learned the silent guy was apparently a sales manager himself. After reading the numerous negative reviews and having a phone call with a manager who later called me back (this earns a one star rating instead of zero), I'm glad they showed their true colors at this stage because the online reviews are nightmares-- NO cash purchases, no cash down payments to reduce net price (affecting financing amount and thus monthly payments), that car sales require warranty package purchase, and outside financing is not allowed. People who purchased seem to report a high number of engine lights going on soon after closing. In the event you want to walk in (they also frowned when we told them we didn't have an appointment- website welcomes walk-ins), have your financing already approved by your preferred lender, and/or turn down warranty protection-- you are not buying a car from this place. My experience at EchoPark St. Louis was one of the most frustrating and misleading car-buying situations I've ever gone through. The staff started off friendly, but everything changed once the paperwork started. We worked with a salesman named Brian F., who asked if we wanted warranties included before even explaining what they were. When he came back with the numbers, he had already added multiple warranties without walking us through them. The monthly payment was way higher than expected, and when I questioned it, he brushed right past it and assured us everything could be canceled within 60 days. That turned out to be completely false. After getting home and reviewing everything closely, I realized several warranties were not cancelable at all. I called the dealership the next day, and the salesman refused to return my call. Later that night, the sales manager, Ace, finally contacted me and said only some of the warranties could be canceled -- the opposite of what we were told. I was the one who brought up their 7-day/250-mile return policy and explained that we would return the vehicle and repurchase it without the warranties. Suddenly, he claimed customers aren't allowed to rebuy a returned vehicle. When I asked him to show me where that rule existed in their policy, he couldn't provide anything in writing. The next day, my husband went back to the dealership, and somehow the story changed again. Now they were claiming they could only offer in-house financing, even though we already had a solid preapproval from Bank of America at a much better rate. The rate they tried to force on us had jumped significantly from what we already had. Only after a ridiculous amount of back-and-forth did they mysteriously "find" a more reasonable rate. The entire experience was full of runarounds, shifting stories, and tactics that felt extremely unprofessional. No one we originally dealt with would even come out and talk to us -- which says a lot about how they handle situations when they know they're in the wrong. I strongly warn anyone considering EchoPark St. Louis: read every single line, question everything they tell you, and don't take their word at face value. I had been corresponding with someone via text (after my online inquiry) for a week. On the day I wanted to test drive, I sent a text to make sure the cars I wanted to test were available, and said we would be making the drive to chesterfield. I get there to be notified that all of the cars they had were damaged by hail earlier in the week, and no one ever mentioned that to me in any texts that were exchanged before we drove all the way out there. I received an offer from EchoPark to buy my car. When I went there the appraiser (his name is Rico) drove my car, and then told me that EchoPark would not buy it for two reasons. First, he said the car had more than fifty dents due to hail in its roof and hood. I looked at the roof and hood with him, and there were actually only two small dents in the hood and seven small dents in the roof (three in the very front and four in its rear area). The car is seven years old, so that is average condition for its age. Second, the appraiser said that the transfer case was making a grinding noise when the car was turning left. I drove the car with the radio turned off and listened closely through several left turns; the car was actually not making any strange noises. After I left EchoPark I immediately drove to the Jim Butler Chevrolet dealership in Fenton and had my car appraised there. The appraiser there looked at my car and drove it, and then offered to buy it for its NADA blue-book trade-in value. I sold the car to Jim Butler Chevrolet for that price. My visit to EchoPark was a waste of time for me and for my friend who meet me there (to drive me home if EchoPark had bought my car). I will not go to EchoPark again. read more

"That's rates these days!" they said, among other things. He went through another lender and got 6%. The whole experience took 4 hours to buy. 4. Our sales person was kind of shady, seemed like he made things up if he didn't know the answer, and made us feel rushed. Would never recommend this used car lot. Ryan Miller was my salesman. After getting in a car accident, the last thing I wanted to do this holiday season was shop for a new car. Unfortunately I should've learned my lesson the first time I came to this lot. But I gave them a second chance and I fully regret it. I bought a vehicle from here and I will say I love my car but the sales people are horrible. After already explaining I did not want the warranty they offer they decided to slip it in my paperwork and I did not catch it till later that night after I left. They also gave me my vehicle with nearly an empty tank and did not reset the oil life. The next day I called 4 times to figure out how we can resolve this and was sent to voicemail never receiving a call back and then I called again and they hung up on me. Then two weeks later they called me asking me for my letter of total loss after I already provided them with it at the time of the sale. Ryan was my salesman and I would never wish this upon someone who was just in a traumatic accident like myself. If you go to this car lot make them explain every detail to you and break down why your payment is what it is bc they will rush you through your paperwork.
