This location is where the Eclair Affaire bakes all of their pastries. It is located in warehouses in Davie off of State Rd 84. The first time I came here they were only baking but they have since added a case where they sell some of their items. For the full Eclair Affaire experience with coffee and tables you have to visit their Weston location. This is strictly take out so no ambiance. I first tasted their eclair's in a food hall in South Beach. An eclair is a pastry made with choux dough filled with a cream and topped with usually a chocolate icing. The dough, which is the same as that used for profiterole, is typically piped into an oblong shape with a pastry bag and baked until it is crisp and hollow inside. The filling is then pipped in. I can't say I have ever been a fan of this particular pastry but that all changed once I tried an eclair from the Eclair Affaire. What sets apart the Eclair Affaire pastries is their creativity and artistry. Here you will find eclair favors like guava, coffee, coconut, tres leches, German chocolate, chocolate, tiramisu, vanilla, and their newest flavor Baklava. They also sell petite cakes, brownies, muffins, bread pudding, cake pops, and cookies. An eclair is pretty pricey, around $5 each but they are little works of art and they package them so beautifully on gold plates. The experience of eating one begins visually before you even taste it. Once you bite into one and hit the filling you are transported to culinary heaven. I ordered the coconut topped with a little white chocolate and the coffee eclair topped with a chocolate cocoa bean. They set me back 10 dollars and about five pounds. It is probably better for me that they aren't cheaper because I can put away a few. The nice young man helping me told me his favorite is eclair is pina colada which they didn't have here that day but I am sure I would love it too. He also recommended that I go to Weston where they also sell savory eclairs like those filled with smoke salmon, tuna salad, caprese, mushroom, ratatouille, and a shepherd's pie eclair. Oh my, they have taken the humble eclair to a whole new level! It is definitely on my short list of places to visit.

Thank you to my friend Yelper Terri E! It was her review that brought me here. I had my mom in tow and I told her that this was going to be a surprise. This location is where they make the desserts. The actual sit down bakery is in Weston. The good news is that they sold the desserts at this location so that I didn't need to travel to Weston. The desserts are stunning. There are a few vegan selections so I got my daughter a chocolate chip cookie. If you are looking for an elegant dessert to have at a wedding or baby shower, this is your place. I wish they had an eclair with vanilla cream and chocolate frosting. These eclairs taste nothing like the Publix eclairs. The Publix eclairs are plumper, softer, and sweeter. We plan on going to the Weston location for the full experience.

Got a variety for friends. Sharing is caring!

Ahhhhh, this is hands down one of my favorite dessert spots in town. It's a hidden gem and I want more people to know about this place. I stumbled upon them by accident last year and I try to go whenever I can. They are located in a commercial area so don't expect a retail location when you visit. This is where the magic happens and all the beautiful desserts and eclairs are made here in their commercial kitchen. They also do corporate events as well. When you walk in, you'll see a beautiful display of gorgeous desserts! Sigh, it makes me happy each time I come here. They always have new creations too so keep an eye out. I've met Sofia, Managing Partner of Eclair Affaire (also known as Affaire Pattiserie) and she is so nice and helpful. I usually call her to make sure they are open before I make the trip to visit them. They have limited hours due to their kitchen operations so I have an updated list of hours you can go and grab some treats for yourself. AMAZING!!! You won't be sorry. HOURS OF OPERATION as of 03.06.23: Sun-Mon: Closed Tue: 9:30am-2:00pm Wed-Fri: 9:30-3:30pm Sat: 9:30am-1:00pm Just a few other notes after talking to Sofia and getting most recent updates as of 3/6/23. Google Maps is usually updated on hours/private events as sometimes they are closed due to high demand of private events. They had new location they opened in Alton Hall in Miami, but that location closed in Dec 2022, not profitable and too far for them according to Sofia. Good news, they are working on another retail location that will be opening soon. Weston store opening hopefully before Summer 2023!!! #yourewelcome They have a variety of desserts such as eclairs, tarts, bread pudding, cake pops, parfaits. The works. You must stop by and get some ASAP!!! Tell Sofia I sent you. I'm pretty sure we're regulars by now and she knows to expect me from time to time. Haha. Thank you Sofia!

This place is Amazing!!! Everything we tried was delicious (strawberry custard, eclairs, macaroons & passion fruit/coconut ball), and everything looked picture perfect. If you are near, don't think twice....worth every gram of sugar!!!

Omg! Saw this on IG and had to check it out! Got there close to closing time so there was not much but I was in the area and wanted to try it. I got two eclairs, one chocolate and one coconut, a chocolate raspberry gateau, and two carrot cake pops. The owner threw in two additional complementary cake pops for me. I tried one of the cake pops which tasted like pecan but was very sweet. The other one was chocolate and was good. The eclair choux pastry was a bit dry, almost over cooked I would say. The filling was ok. I was expecting more from this. The gateau was pretty good, the chocolate graham cracker at the bottom, chocolate mousse and raspberry on the inside. I only had half, it was the perfect serving. Would check them out again if I am in the area. The space is there workshop mainly with only one table for sitting so it's really takeout. The packaging is gorgeous too!

The restaurant seats more than 50. It's sleek with lots of black and red (to match its name). Except for one other table, it was practically empty on a Wednesday evening. Our first waitress was friendly. She brought our beverages and took our orders. After that, we got a different young lady. She also was cordial. (But got a bit testy when I went to find her so we could pay the check and leave.) We got the smothered chicken, smothered pork, fried chicken, three beverages, and two desserts. Let's start with the desserts. The peach cobbler crust was a bit thick and the peaches tasted like they were from a can. The red velvet cake was mediocre. Definitely not specially made. Now the sides. The corn bread was perfect. The red velvet corn bread was a treat. The greens were good. The rice was soaked in gravy. The yams were way too sweet. The entrees were the standout. The chicken only comes in wings. Nevertheless, they were seasoned and fried well, had a light breading, and were meaty. The pork chops were moist and savory. The smothered dishes weren't really smothered and could have used some more gravy, which lacked onions. But that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying them. Dinner for 3 with 3 beverages, 3 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was about $110. We hope to return and try the catfish, the turkey, and the liver and onions. P.S. A small group came in while we were eating and one of the diners was vaping. Isn't that illegal in restaurants? I was hoping the management would stop him. But he was there for about the last 15-20 minutes of our meal and continued to vape a few feet away from us.

This is some of THE BEST BBQ we have had in a long time!! The brisket and ribs were so tender and flavorful!! The ribs fell off the bone, saucy, simply delicious Fiancé liked the smoked sausage with their BBQ sauce. Coleslaw was definitely tangy, very mildly sweet, and crunchy. The roasted corn was served differently than I expected, but still good! They cut a cob into small chunks which makes them less messy to eat! We are absolutely trying their Mexican street corn next time! The only mild critique I have is about the Mac-n-cheese. IMO way too salty. I asked for black pepper to try to balance it out. They did get some from the kitchen for me, but S&P is kinda a staple so would suggest making it more accessible. The service was phenomenal!! Tony is an incredible chef! The food is genuinely delicious and I would have expected to pay more for the quality of the meal overall!

The Spread: We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, spare ribs, and baby back ribs -- yes, all four -- on one tray lined with butcher paper. It looked like a BBQ fever dream and tasted even better than it looked. The Meats: The brisket was the standout for me. Smoked over real wood for 12+ hours, hand-carved, pink smoke ring, tender all the way through. The baby back ribs were glazed and meaty with deep smoky flavor, and the spare ribs were thick, juicy, and packed with bold bark. The smoked chicken rounded it all out -- moist, flavorful, never dry. The Sides: Rice and peas with coconut milk -- fragrant and perfectly cooked. The 4-cheese mac was outrageously creamy (I kept going back for more). The sweet and tangy coleslaw was the perfect palate cleanser between bites of rich, smoky meat. The Extras: The 4-pack of sliders was a great add -- soft buns, well-seasoned patties, could easily make a meal on their own. The fries were golden and crispy. And the watermelon lemonade Kool-Aid with berries at the bottom? Refreshing, unique, and the perfect closer to an incredible meal. The Space: Big news for fans of Bare Bones -- they've just opened a brand new storefront next door with about a dozen additional tables and plenty of seating for the whole family. No more eating in your car or rushing home with takeout. You can now sit back, relax, and enjoy that tray of smoked goodness the way it was meant to be experienced. It's a welcome upgrade that somehow makes the food taste even better. This is a family-run operation with over 20 years of food experience and it shows in every detail. Bare Bones isn't just good BBQ -- it's a South Florida treasure.
