    Blueberry Pie

Isabel is very personable and kind. I could immediately tell she put her passion into her pies. Today I was craving a blueberry pie. As soon as I got it I noticed the details of the pie crust. She definitely put time into creating this piece of art. Then I cut my first piece and took that first bite I had been waiting on since the day before. WOW! The filling was perfectly firm and the sweetness of the blueberry complements the slightly sweet top crust. I also got a savory pie that I can't wait to try for lunch. Oh yes by the way I ate the blueberry deliciousness for breakfast! I'm an adult I can do these things :). This was money well spent and unforgettable flavor!

We are blessed to have many options of Peruvian restaurants in south Florida that are great, but the hardest part is finding restaurants that have excellent dishes all around. For example, the restaurant may have good ceviche, but their mains aren't strong. They may have great mains, but their desserts just don't hit authentically. Olenka Peruvian Restaurant hits the nail on the head in every area! I was genuinely impressed how much range their menu carries plus, the flavor was not lacking in any round. My favs were their ceviche mixed with fried fish (spicy), their seafood risotto and their alfajores were to die for. Alfajores are minimal ingredients and the easiest to mess up. Round of applause! My husband and I decided this is our new spot!

Our server was great with recommendations also allowing me to try different drinks. I ended up ordering the tropical drink. We also ordered the conchas la parmesaana for our appetizer. They were good. My husband also had the vegetable soup and he liked it. For our entrees which we had to go due to another engagement but no fault on the restaurant we had pasta huancaina and lomo saltado and my husband had the same with chicken milanesa. Both dishes were delicious! We will definitely be back to try more dishes and maybe even dessert next time!

That's exactly how The Baked Bear got me. Hook, line, and sinker. If you've never been, the concept is simple and brilliant. High-quality ingredients and a build-your-own dessert approach. Cookies, brownies, cones, ice cream, toppings. You mix, match, and create something that feels a little more custom than your average scoop shop. And the ingredients really do deliver. The cones are nicely crisp, and if you've never had one of their ice cream sandwiches, start there. They'll build it with warm cookies on the outside and freezing cold ice cream on the inside, which might be the most satisfying hot-meets-cold dessert combination ever created. Warm cookie. Frozen ice cream. Zero regrets. For my order, I went with the berry crumble and strawberry cheesecake on a waffle cone. The waffle cone had a great crisp to it, and the flavors were light and refreshing. You got a nice hint of berry without it being overpowering. If anything, I would have welcomed a little more berry punch, but it was still very enjoyable. We also tried the campfire s'mores, which absolutely popped with bold flavor, and the cookie dough, which was fine but a little more average compared to the others. The one area where things felt slightly limited was the flavor selection. They offered around a dozen choices, but many leaned heavy into chocolate territory. If you're a chocolate lover, you'll feel like you hit the lottery. If you're looking for a wider range of lighter or fruit-forward options, the variety could be better. Still, the concept is great and the ingredients are excellent. Tip: do not accept the free sample unless you're emotionally prepared to buy ice cream immediately afterward. Four stars. Great concept, excellent flavors, just a little light on variety. Definitely worth the trip even if the sweet tooth hasn't kicked in yet.... Oh, and it's okay sometimes to have dessert for dinner... and this would be the place for that!

I felt a little hot inside, the door was open though so maybe thats why. There were about 6 chairs facing the window for customers to sit abd enjoy their ice-cream. The staff greeted us nicely and they allowed us to try samples. They sell cookies and ice-cream. You could purchase those individually or in an icecream sandwich. Cool idea. They had nice ice cream flavors but not what I wanted. There was a blue one which I though was a cookie monster but it was something else. I really wanted the cookie monster. They had a cookie monster cookie but not the ice cream. I loved the cookie options. Walked out with a carrot cake cookie for $3 which tasted exactly like carrot cake. They warmed it up for me. It was yummy yummy

There was one other customer in front of me ordering a cake to go. I was happy to have met the shop owner, Samara, and she recommended two things for me based on what I told her my dessert preferences were. I got both a lime cheesecake along with a Pavlova, which I have never heard of let alone ever tried before. The Pavlova was absolutely delicious. Basically what it is, it's a meringue cookie with a layer of caramel, whipped cream and decorated with thinly sliced strawberries.. I brought it home and within minutes it was gone, it was that good, she did tell me that was their number one seller and I could see why. I had a bite of the lime cheesecake, and it was also very delicious very light and airy with a great lime flavor, not too overpowering.. before I left the shop. I also did grab a bag of meringue which were $5.50. Most of the desserts in the shop are $6.50 except for the Pavlova, which is $7.50. The shop was very clean, and neat inside. A couple tables are available for customers to sit and enjoy their treats. It was nicely decorated and dimly lit.. The owner was super friendly and explained a little bit to me about their business and how that her and her mom own it together, and they originally started in sunrise, Florida, and a commercial kitchen.. If you're in the area and you're looking for a sweet treat, definitely stop by and try crumbs MIA you definitely won't be disappointed and chances are you'll meet Samara as well!

My wife, our 3-year-old daughter, and I went there for breakfast. Because our daughter won't stay seated, my wife and I usually take turns eating. I hung out with our daughter while my wife ordered and ate. Then, we switched. A quiche was brought to the table. I wasn't expecting it, so I asked the waitress to confirm it was for our table. She said, "Yes, it is." I assumed my wife had ordered it, so I ate it. I was about to leave when a manager came over to ask if I had ordered the item, to which I answered, "I don't know." She asked for the receipt, which I didn't have. At this point, three staff members were standing around questioning me about this quiche. One of them brought out a receipt with "154" written on it; our table was 54. They were speaking Spanish among themselves, so I wasn't sure what was happening, but they eventually walked away. I thought the matter was settled. I went outside, and my wife went back inside to wash her hands. The manager approached her to ask if she had ordered the quiche and requested the receipt, explaining that I had probably eaten an item I didn't pay for. My wife hadn't kept the receipt, so we couldn't confirm or deny it. Maybe the person at the counter added it to our order by mistake. Maybe the waitress brought it by mistake and confirmed it was ours by mistake. But ultimately, we didn't make the mistake. Don't harass customers over your own errors. It isn't worth it for a quiche.
